I often ask the Lord to make me aware of my sins that I need to repent of. As to CFM, back during CoVid, I made a commitment to read the lesson every week, and I have managed to do that. It’s been a great blessing! And I use your lessons and others to enhance my understanding. Bless you for your desire to serve all of us this way! BTW, I didn’t hear any crickets, but hope that your phlegmy throat gets better! ❤❤❤

I try to repent daily. I always do the come follow me lessons as we are on Primary. Even when we have a time such as Conference. I always feel I need to listen to lessons of the week besides reading for myself. It helps me to Hear Him.

Without Christ, there can be no true and lasting change. There is no meaningful motivation to change one's way of life. While some can and do make positive changes that are wonderful and beneficial to themselves and others, they are still incomplete without Jesus Christ. With the Savior, anything is possible. With the Savior, everything is attainable. Because we have the supernal gift of repentance, our lives can reflect our love for our Redeemer, as we daily choose to repent and come unto Him. We have His strength and His power to be and become better. With and through Christ, we can change and stay changed. I am so grateful for the principle of repentance and the commandment to do so. I am looking forward to hearing from President Nelson and all of the Lord's annointed servants in General Conference in a couple of weeks. Thank you for your lesson on repentance, Chelsea and Steve! You gotta love the crickets!! They add a special touch to the video! Luv ya! Bye!

The BIG picture to me is to return home having been refined by the righteous use of agency in the small picture of each day. Like the wheat field picture described by Elder Bednar in his October 2009 talk “More Diligent and Concerned at Home” the big picture consists of many small strokes. The big picture gives context, which is very important, but the small picture gives insight. However, without context, we will miss the insight.

Big. I am now pondering what the Lord is trying to bring to my attention - what is He trying to get me to know or to see?

WOTW: Big; Oh my goodness!!! When you asked, is the Lord trying to get your attention. I immediately thought about the other day. It was garbage day. I was bringing the trash can back to it's home. On the way, my son had a bag of trash about 3 feet away from where the trash can belongs. So . . . I put the trash bag into the trash can. I had the impression to put the lid back on. I said to myself, it's only 3 feet away. Well, I should have listened to the still small voice. My second step landed me on the concrete floor!!! The first thing that I did was the thank Heavenly Father for my glasses not breaking!!! I called my son, on the phone and said those famous commercial words, I've fallen and can't get up!!! All the while, thanking Heavenly Father that I didn't break anything.

Thank you for your lesson this week! My husband and I have been talking this week about ways our testimonies have been strengthened through difficult times. We talked about how he tends to focus on the BIG picture. I talked about how I focused on prayer and having conversations with the Lord when I have BIG questions. We are able to help each other as we focus on the Lord and understanding His messages to us through the scriptures.

I feel particularly inspired that the Lord blesses Nephi for never giving up. He, Nephi, has done what he was commanded to do with unwearyingness. That's a BIG thing. Nevertheless, I believe that this steadfast effort is a trait that each of us can aspire to achieve. We're not going to receive the sealing power, as Nephi did. Yet, by holding fast to our covenants, we can be sealed to the Lord. Thanks for holding up the fort by yourself, Steve. Hope to see the return of your better half soon! Love ya! Bye!

Big picture “think celestial” small picture God shows up in my life every day blessing me with strength to do all things. I recently moved from Oregon after an ugly divorce. I know live in Maryland with my daughter and her family. I did all of this will doing list of fasting and prayer following the guidance of the Lord. I am doing my best to live each day living the gospel, trying to be an example to my daughter and her family.

Thanks for this lesson! I liked the point about how blessings will still come during the heavy times of our lives. I also think that is a good reminder that the Lord was aware of Nephi's heaviness and was there to bless him. Often times, we go through trials and think that our Heavenly Father and Savior aren't there, but they definitely know what we go through.

I was thinking of you both as our family drove through Mountain View on our way to Waterton in July. We were down for Magrath Days and also my 30th High School Reunion. This week’s lesson the quote by President Nelson I was reminded of when he said “In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.” This is so important in our lives right now to have a strong spiritual foundation.

BIG picture: Nephi Returns to Zarahemla and finds the people in a state of wickedness. Little Picture: How this happens - Verses 16-18 Given into the enticings of Satan, Have not repented, Hardened hearts//not listening to Jesus. Verse 20: We forget God “the very day He delivers” - Enticings of Satan say “oh, that’s just a coincidence” or he convinces us to focus on the lemons instead of how it can be turned into lemonade. If we turn to God and not harden our hearts, listen to the prompting of the spirit declaring how much God loves us, we can see the blessings. Then as President Nelson promised, if we can give thanks, we will grow closer God and gain strength. God supports His children. Satan will not.

I loved that in the middle of all the chaos, Nephi was taking the time to ponder. He made purposely included quiet moments with God in his day.

Challenges prep for : I grew up in the 90s. Most of the kid movies I liked all dealt with adoptions and foster care. Ended up being told I’d never get pregnant without IVf my budget would not allow us to try IVF, we prayed and a year later went into private adoption world. Had five potential placements within one month time frame and they all fell through for reasons out of my control. This was devastating!! We took a break from that emotional rollercoaster and after a few months started to get licensed to foster to adopt . We were in the third class and the manager told us about a child . She got the age wrong three times and kept calling us back every hour saying oh no the child is 5, oh no she is 6, oh no she is 4😂- we heard the very brief not full background of the story of this child. She was a “red file” meaning she was looking for her forever family as the birth parents had signed their rights away. We prayed and wanted to move forward. We had like two hours to make this decision. I was on board very quickly like YES let’s do it and my husband was not so fast at his answer. After some struggle in what felt like forever we said yea move forward. It came down between us and one other family to take her. The social worker wanted to go with the other family. We were devastated -again!!- I could not deny that I knew that I was told by the spirit this child would be mine and yet we were not picked. It made zero sense ! The how the why the disappointment the frustration the sadness all at the same time was a lot. Few days later the social worker called back and said the child did not like that family and now it was our turn. We fostered for nine months and then finalized. It was a hard foster with learning how to help this small person deal with the huge amount of trauma she had gone thru- we ended up adopting her , a month later I learned I was 8 weeks pregnant -naturally no medical interventions - hubs was in another challenge at the time with work injury+amputation( another story) and then we had another miracle baby three years later. She ended up 8+ years of intense therapy and emdr therapy to help deal with the trauma of everything before. But who knew those cheesey 90movies would basically get me all my kids. I always knew I wanted to adopt and it just seemed like ya this is normal like the sunrise and it’ll be fine.
