There’s a specific shot where you’re zoomed in on a blade of grass. I’ve been having trouble with filming anything macro. It just doesn’t kiss when it’s about a foot away from anything
Did you seriously started film-making weeks before posting this video? How awesome! Love it. I am deciding whether or not to buy this camera. Any thoughts a year after having it?
Thank you! The audio is a mix of records i took with my shure mv51 on another day, my incamera mic and some downloaded soundeffects from freesound.org. I love doing some sounddesign at the end of the editingprocess. it´s like the cream to the cake. nice that you noticed!
Really nice footage. How easy was it to balance the Sony on the Crane M? I did get a Crane V2 and couldn't get it to balance my sony rx100 iii on there so sent it back. so thought I would get the M version instead. but I have heard you need a base plate or something extra to make it work, the screw hole for the Sony is slightly in the wrong place?
thanks stuart, it is no problem to balance the rx100v. i got it done with and without quick release plate. but i use a manfrotto quick release plate which always stays in the same place so that i don´t need to balance the crane every time i use it.

Very nice! Does the RX100 V retain autofocus in HFR/slow mo modes or is it locked at a single focus distance or can you even manually focus the RX100V? Thank you
Thank you! Autofokus is very fast in this camera, but for 240fps it is too slow and better to focus manually. imagine the autofokus needs 1sec to fokus in realtime, it would be 10 sec in 240fps slowed down to 24fps
Daniel Jenny oh that makes sense though I thought autofocus doesn't work at all and is locked in.. Maybe I'll test mine now I have it in manual focus to see if works..I know shooting 120p keeps AF.. Need to confirm is 240fps hfr does..
Thanks- I just tried manual focus whilst shooting 240fps in HFR mode but it still seems teh focus is locked at whatever distance it's at when you hit the record buton.. is there anything else you do to enable manual focusing in HFR mode? thank you once more!
yes, thats true, it is locked. but changing focus while recording in 240 frames or more doesn´t make sense anyway in my opinion. you are simply to slow to change focus that fast that this would work..
thank you though you get 5 seconds of recording I think- the reason I'm asking is I shot myself walking towards camera at 240fps in HFR mode and that's when I noticed the focus was off- so subjects moving towards/away from camera (or at least with changing focal distance in that short time) do need the focus to change even if in slow mo it's very slow there's still scenarios where the focus needs changing and your note saying manual focus was available gave me hope that you could adjust in scenarios like I just mentioned but now I think there's stil no control with the focus being locked seemingly unless I'm missing something..? I guess alternately 120 fps (non HFR mode) I think still retains AF and on slowing down to 24fps in post that can again be slowed down 50% further to make 240fps..
Thanks! the shots in the beginning were in slog2, running scenes in ITU709pro. found it a bit hard to match, but i am no expert in colorgrading. it was shot in 1080p.
This is the best output from a Sony RX 100 V I've seen so far
thank you so much!
this is a great job i loved this b roll so much , the transitions are amazing , the music as if it was made specially for this epic video

This is bloody amazing, well done!
How did you capture the audio (Crunching of leaves etc.)?

really nice work !
thank u!
Hi, great footage! Did you slow it down using HFR settings or you did it in post production?
thank you, i did both. something is in 240fps with HFR settings, and some of it 120 fps in post.
Nice editing!
Smooth!! Nice Work!!

Hi Daniel, that's really good to know. That has definitely given me more confidence if you are saying it's okay. Many thanks!
Daniel Jenny great video man! Do you have a link for which quick release plate you use?

very talented! great job! does the internal ND filter works fine with this camera?
thank you, yes had no problems so far..
Great job dude!
Can you u tell me how did you record that audio? Thx!
thank you so much, recorded it with a simple sure mike that i can link to my iphone
@@TheJennson THX!
Dude!!! Great stuff!!! Did you use and LUTs or graded manually?
thank you! yes, graded with luts!
Fuck yeah!
Wow this is pretty freakin good bro! Would love to know if you shot in Slog or 4k or not??
Thanks! the shots in the beginning were in slog2, running scenes in ITU709pro. found it a bit hard to match, but i am no expert in colorgrading. it was shot in 1080p.
Daniel Jenny haha you did an amazing job still!
Thanks Jonathan Heres ! No, the first shots were not planned to use for the edit. I was just experimenting. The ITU709pro seems easy to grade..
That's great!
Hi does the RX100 have image stabalisation itself
yes it does, at least the m5, but it doesnt´t do a great job and is nearly wothless in my opinion. don´t know how about the previous models
Love it ^^
