RIP to all the Sun artists that we lost Elvis, Carl, Johnny and Roy. Hopefully we can keep Jerry Lee for a while longer, but all of them were great, and Johnny Cash was my favorite singer of all time.
Except he wasn't, he had one big hit, followed this with pink pedal pushers, then pointed toe shoes, and decided making songs that were very similar to his big hit was not the way to go, so very quickly became a county artist. His songs always sold slightly better to a country audience so that's where he went, Funny to think that he critised Sam Phillips for wanting him to be a country artist, Phillips could see the light, it took Perkins a bit longer
