@kaubvaj1848 you are right. The video covers 5 deep topics in 2 minutes each. Not likely to help many people. To stop overthinking, do things. To get started on doing things, use starting rituals: find one that works for you (stare at a wall as a way to break your thinking state, count backwards from 5 - experiment!).

@@spikeboy101 school is useful up until the end of middle school. Learnimg basic math, grammar science and socual history is something every society should offer. However, high school shpuld be replaced with a more specialized time. Either you enter entry level work force, begin looking at arts, sports, science, medicine, mechanical work through an apprenticeship. Let medical practitioners om their way to retiremebt teach the next generation and so on. That would allow people yp chase their dreams whole allowing them to learn the tips amd tricks that come worh experience to blend with the advancement of new technology, etc.
BUT that would also depend on a government that isn't greedy and corrupt.

Amazing how despite being separated by time and space, Marcus Aurelius and Miyamoto Musashi came to the exact same conclusion: Avoid doing unnecessary things. Probably the ronin did not know about the roman emperor, yet, much of his philosophy has similarities with Aurelius's estoicism.
So inspiring to see that our souls find similar paths when we look for making our lives better, and to live in harmony with the world.

A great way to stop any thinking at all:
First relax like you would meditate. In your mind scan your body beginning at the feet and moving to the head, but by doing it FEEL every body part physically how it feels right now. The closer you go to the head you will notice that the feeling is getting more tense but don't start to think again. Only try to feel your head space don't use your thinking. You will notice that thoughts will try to invade your mind again but as soon aß this happens turn the thought into a feeling. Once your fully in the head area you really feel into it. Thoughts are linear but feelings are fluid and can be reversed into a good body feeling. So what you want to do is to convert every thought into a feeling wich gives you full controll of your thoughts. Do this untill you reach a good body feeling in your head. You will start to really feel your head, your third eye, you will see flickering light patterns but don't freak out, this is just your third eye taking over the brain activity. Do this daily and any thoughts will become a body feeling wich your third eye can alchemise and integrate into your body awareness.

Everyone wants that, but no one has that choice. Succeeding isn't actually in your control. Your only control in the matter is to keep going and to not quit.
You could do everything right and still wind up on your ass. Or everything wrong and still luck into it. It's random.
The best way to try and get your outcome is to do what you feel is right in the moment. If it seems to be working, you continue. But if it's not, you adapt. As long as you don't quit, you will become a better version of yourself, but it may not be in the way you expected.

Next for the 12 minutes I plan to write down my issues and change the words by I could and why I have not done anything or enough to reach my goal. I am positive it will make my thoughts laser focus on my goals. Thank you very much for the presentation, it was amazing 🙏🏻.

One thing I discovered along these lines that might be useful to someone out there - a technique for handling attacks of overthinking/circular thinking/anxious thinking. I sometimes get myself into these states where my mind is anxiously exploring some damn thing and I can't stop or slow it down for the life of me. I could get kind of desperate, trying to stop thinking and not succeeding.
The way I found to stop it that works for me is this:
    1. At some point I realize I'm in this state. I know what it feels like.
    2. At that point, I think to myself "oh shit! That brain thing is out of kilter again. Until it calms down and starts working properly again, I can't use it to solve anything!"
    3. I then simply "refuse to think". When thoughts arise unbidden, I dismiss them almost reflexively as if I'm talking to my brain like it's a child having a tantrum. "You (brain) aren't working right, your thoughts are all faulty and irrelevant. I can't think when you are like this!"
    4. Several rounds of unbidden thought followed by slapdown occur. But the unbidden thoughts never fully form, because I immediately dismiss them as faulty or unworthy. I don't try to fix anything because my tool for fixing things is my brain and it is out of whack! I resign myself to simply waiting for the damn thing to start working properly again.
Ok. It's weird. When doing this I am behaving as if my brain is just a malfunctioning module. Refusing to listen or operate the faulty module. The result is a cycle of almost meditative not-thinking states followed by intrusive thought/slapdown and back to non-thinking.
It worked the very first time the idea occurred to me right in the middle of one of these episodes. I stop engaging with this part of my brain, refuse to help it solve whatever it is yapping about.
If I have a lorazepam or something handy, I take it. It takes about 30 to 60 minutes to kick in. I keep up my technique until unbidden thoughts stop arising.
Worth trying if u have this problem. It helps me a lot.

One way I combat overthinking is by writing in my personal blog. Little did I know 14 years later it would help declutter my mind. Some life questions I had when I was young and wrote in my blog were not answered until I was older.

"Do what you want to do and not what the society tells you to". The only thing the society doesn't tell us to do is fulfilling our basic needs. It does, however, tell us how to do it. You want to become something because you were convinced that it's good for you. Doesn't matter what part of the society this idea comes from

I almost never use this feature but I gotta say this is a very useful video. We are all swordsmen in this life in a way…moments of indecision can lead to dire consequences. Have faith that ‘God’ will make a way for your dreams and you won’t lose 💪🏾

2:45 I've been thinking this for a little while now. I realized it's not about what we do; it's about what we stopped doing. When we stop letting in the noise and other negativity, it makes everything much more clear; much easier, and we're naturally in the flow. Then it's about staying in the Flow, by continuing to simply keep away the negativity. We're doing things; but it doesn't feel like work. We accomplish things but we're not struggling. It's peaceful.

I did find this video interesting, but because I am an overthinker my mind wandered during segments throughout. Not sure if it is the voice or the background images (I will try again without video) but something triggered my thoughts to dwell on something completely different. I did enjoy the topic 👍

i think you are teaching how to overcome overthinking and you are an overthinker that never overcame it. This takes alot of thinking and musashi wrote a book that he thought a lot. the never ending thinking is the reality, and healthy thinking is the goal so that the body works properly. Thank you for accepting your thoughts, its from a higher power. And thank you for the awareness

This is key. There are two states thinking and sensing. Contemplation is not thinking but watching the situation. The irony of this world is we are blocked in our brain to below 10% and the more you learn and think the more you are hindered. Learn to think only when needed and sense the rest of the time and you will unlock your brain. Thinking is the cage, sensing is heaven.

i think point one is not what he meant. I think he was speaking about awareness, about the perceiving the 'space' of who we are that all that can be perceived appears in. liked the video thank you

I wish more then anything that my mind would quite down.. I have always put way too much thought into every aspect of my life. It's caused me to suffer from anxiety and depression since I was a teenager. I even went to the doctor and tried many different drugs to find relief. Psychedelics ended up helping more then anything along with practicing mindful breathing every night before bed.

Never fight with the minf, it's like fighting with your own shadow - you'll never win.
1 thing spirituality and meditation teaches is to give your full focus on that thought or anciety. Sit down and just focus inwards to the mind area that is giving this anxiety. Do it for a few mins 3-5 mins. You'll find that this will help to create some clarity but a space will open up making you feel better. This is open-eye meditation. Do it often and it will help you master your mind. 🙏
