Wow never saw this clip before, thanks for posting amigo. Phil's backing vocals are giving this song a good push and his presence in the video makes me happy watching it over and over
My god thought I was the only one to remember this band,I have a few of their singles, love this one but really love single "Bad Experience" which Phil did backing vocals for as well, think he might have produced it, he was kind of the bands mentor they should have made it bigger then they did. Thanks for posting.
I didn't do that for this video. I did it for the Hollywood video because when I uploaded it "as is" it rejected it because of the audio being the same as the studio song (since the performance was mimed). I thought if I readded the studio audio, with some subtle changes in pitch and sound that I could get around it, and successfully did. I tried the same thing for another song from the same show, but it was banned anyway. Don't know if it's worth the effort, because I've tried twice now...
It's amazing how Gay Wood made the transformation from Folk revival to New Wave, and seems fitting in both (tho her ex-husband is equally amazing for easing into The Pogues...)
I think I have a fairly decent mp3 of this, but it might of been sourced from the video, either the video, or from a record that was digitalized. I haven't listened to it in awhile, so I can't be sure.
@scenscof7 - i was at lots of their gigs around Ireland but never missed one at the Baggot Inn - cool memories - I arrived at your comment wondering what Gay is up to now (and Trevor with his funky facepaints)
Phil makes everything better! Man is a legend. Miss him dearly. ☘️

You can’t beat beautiful Celtic music like this nostalgic for someone like me growing up in the eighties 👍
Yes ye can
Amazing song and what a voice
Gay Woods, great voice..... nice to see Philo in the video!. He always recognised and helped Irish talent....
Gay's one of the few singers I can bear to listen to take a note and wring it for all it's worth. Such a beautiful voice.

Lovely song. I always enjoy it when I'm driving.

One of the greatest Irish bands and songs.
This song is timeless. A thing of beauty is a joy forever

Frank Murray saved him from oblivion and made him part of the Pogues.
