Great work...love the way you have placed the slots in your scenery, going to take a leaf out of your book, maybe two. When i get round to building my permanent lay out.
Love the jukebox in the diner! I have a full size juke here! Anyway yes you have a great selection of slotcars that need to be run and videos made! Hurry along now and get to it 🙂🏁
Looks good Lee! That's key to me for a layout, I don’t like the track view being blocked by scenery, i like to see the cars running. That's why the few buildings i have on my layout are short lol. As others have said, our layouts are never finished, what we want changes and evolves. Cheers!
It is always a pleasure to see your track and watch the progress and changes. So now that you have a Diner to go with the Hot Dogs and Donuts and Pub, what is next? Maybe a Pizza Parlor? LOL Have fun with your new layout. I will be looking forward to your progress. Go England!!! 😁
Really like the improvements you've made, like my track, you can't really have a long straight in a small space so have to make the most of the space that you do have. Plus more track visibility is a big bonus.
Looks good to me mate. It's your track so whatever works best for you. My only thought, if you want to go back to the long straight would be to make it a long slow rise from left to right. Bringing the track upto just below the pit building roof. Descending on the far right 180 degree corner. Keep having fun with it mate.
G'day Lee, we all like long straights but sometimes it is impractical so I think you have to go with what your space dictates and in the end it will still be great racing... I agree with the theory that you need to have visual to your cars, I know when I built my track you can see all the layout check it out cheers from down under
I like what you have done with the layout Lee to get rid of some of the blind spot. Any chance of raising the corner building which might allow seeing the track better? If you know what I mean.
I like the new layout. Getting rid of the L shaped building would be painful as you spent so much time building it. What if you kept the garage part intact and put a 2nd level in between the garage and upper level that was like a clear viewing level? Then you could see the cars pass by through the clear part? Either way keep tinkering, its looking great!
Sorry, I seem to cause people extra work when I do a chat these days 😂 These are great improvements it looks a lot of fun to drive, and separating the garage and race control area from the hospitality area makes great sense too that's more like a real track would be 🙂
You could turn this into a figure 8 very easily. It would make it so your lane lengths would be equal. Of course your 2 lane changers allow you to take your preferred lane in each of the big corners.
@@davidtvedte1337 that’s a good option for the next layout, I’m already messing around with track designs, it’s tricky to get right because it is quite narrow
I understand the narrow issue. I’m designing for a 16’x 12’ room with entry door and closet door. I’ve made quite a few variations using three of the walls. I managed to fit in about 68’ of track plus a pit stop. I’m using Carrera.
It looks good Lee and I look forward to seeing your new scenery mate. 👍👍👍

Great use of the space, clever layout. Scenery to Visibility ratio is always a challenge to get ‘right’. Nice brut Ford Falcon! 😀
