You're an amazing women! I'm old enough to be your momma and have raised 8 children and you remind me of our busy household. I loved cooking everything from scratch. I'm good with using hands. Keep inspiring us. The world could use some more mommas like you.

This video reminded me of my mom growing up, she had 7 kids and all my memories of her are with her always in the kitchen. . . New subscriber here!! I am from KS and gotta love and support you since you are from Missouri! By the way the best flavored food comes when you use your hands. It is made with love. I am Mexican, so we eat a LOT with our hands, idk what it is but the food is so much flavorful! God bless you and your family, you are such a great young mom

I really like this video. I like how you utilize leftovers to stretch the food. If you title your next video with "no waste meal plan" or "low waste" it would get lots of views I think. I know that I am more interested in practical meal planning than having 7 delicious recipes with tons of random leftover ingredients at the end of the week.

I'm currently pregnant with my third, and feeling quite big and unmotivated to cook.... but I've been binge-ing on your videos and blog and you've been really inspiring to me! Lately it's the lack of planning out meals that discourages me from cooking regularly. But last night I cooked a whole chicken in the instant pot and roasted some sweet potatoes and veggies that needed to be used pronto. My husband was so surprised when he got home haha. I'm loving the videos so please keep them coming! They make me feel like I have a friend in here with me!

I also use my hands....it is just easier. And if anyone had actually cooked often, they would know that. Even the big chefs on T.V. put things on the plate with their hands! They are your family, not some stranger eating the food. Regardless, yes on more of these videos. I love them!! Thanks Lisa!

Thanks Lisa for the helpful leftover ideas. I have some peppers and leftovers in my fridge that will make a great stuffed pepper dinner! Most of your dinners look to be a perfect opportunity to add in a few of the more tender leafy greens, like chopped up swiss chard or spinach. They definitely won't alter the taste. I'm always looking for ways to add greens to our meals.

Firs time I watched your channel and believe me you are a breath of fresh air. Am old enough to be your mum or grand mum and am so proud of you for the reason that you cooked so many meals without any cans of sauces or any store bought stock , didn't cook in plastic bags and no can of any beans. Everything is natural and healthy, please continue doing these cooking vids and hopefully you can teach the ones that cook every meal with about 4cans of soup and about the sàme amount of cans of sauces and to hem they cooked for there families. They just heat up plenty of caned trush. They put plastic cover in there crock pot so they don't have to wash anything but they don't realise that is a recipe for disaster to there health. Convenience is more important to them than health. Keep up the good work . I watch so many you tubers cook but your the only one that cooks the healthy way

My boyfriend and I particularly enjoy the garlic bread "recipe" because it's so simple and delicious. At Christmas type I flew some of my starter to my parents in Germany and they now use it regularly. So you completely transformed two household ways of cooking. btw absolute favourite of everyone still is sourdough cinnamon buns x

I really enjoyed your video. May I respectfully suggest 2 things to you? If you store your paddle shape cutting boar on it's side, especially after washing, it will keep it from warping. And when you do use a cutting board, if you put a damp kitchen towel under it, it won't slide all over the counter while you chop which greatly reduces the risk of a cut.

It's awesome to see you cooking in your new kitchen.. A towel under your cutting board will keep it in place in front of you while you're chopping..

Just love all your videos. I do hate to think you ever shyed away from using your hands. It's just simply homemade with hands of love. I made your Cheeseburger soup and it was delicious!

I love the recipes that aren't recipes... They are the stuff in the fridge becoming food!

Thanks for the ideas for meals. I like to try to get more than one dish out of a meal to make something else too. This is probably how they used to cook. You couldn't run to the store to get something for supper, so you used what you have. God bless

Thank you for sharing!! I truly appreciated your podcast and blog post about meal planning. I found it so helpful and encouraging that it is possible to feed your family healthy, simple meals with very little stress. My husband definitely loves the "meat and potatoes" meals more than anything but I put too much on myself to try and mix things up with more complicated meals. At this stage of my life (SAHM, working from home, trying to build our own home), I just don't have the time and energy to get crazy with meals like I used to. Love your channel and your blog, thanks for all you do!!
PS I just tried your sauerkraut recipe this past weekend. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Never really had it before

What an amazing lifestyle. I came across your videos recently when I was trying to learn to make bone broth since I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and wanted to try and see if that would help. Now I’m attempting to make a sourdough starter. I’m on day 3 following your steps.
