    I can't wait to make this Eye Spy quilt with Stacey's easy to follow instructions. I just received my order from her Etsy shop with the package of 5" squares with the children's prints. So very lovely! Stacey -- you are a wonderful sewing and quilting resource!

    Thank you so much! I am definitely making this quilt next! You made it so doable! Do you have the #needed to make the quilt larger?

    • @staceyleecreative
      @staceyleecreative  Рік тому +1

      Awesome Karen! Um you would just add more rows and columns to make it bigger. Just cut more 5” squares 🤗

    I have a little discussion about the 1/4 inch seam. I made a quilt 15 or more years ago with the 1/4 in. seams. I've noticed that some of the seams have come unsewed. Probably from washing and sitting on it. But the small seam doesn't leave enough material to repair these unsewed places easily. I think to make a long lasting quilt a little more materal should be left at the seams in order to make repairs over the years. Do you think my theory has merit? Or do you have other suggestions? I've enjoyed your video, very informative.

      1/4" seams are standard for quilting, if they are larger I would imagine they would be too bulky. They get reinforced when you quilt over the top. You should also make your stitches smaller to make them stronger and set them with an iron.
