  • I've had my Nespresso Citiz coffee machine for 12 months and it's overdue a descale. In this video I show you what I use and how to do it.

    Thank you. Great video concise and easy to understand. Just took delivery of a Citiz this morning in Australia. Could be a sleepless night tonight.

    Thanks for making this video. Please make some more Nespresso - related content. I'm really enjoying watching them 🙂

      Thanks Christopher, I'm glad you like them and I really appreciate the comment. I'm currently looking for a 2nd hand Jura bean-to-cup machine to buy so I can compare Nespresso with a more traditional coffee machine which should make for some interesting content.

    Very helpful, thanks. Any of your vids explaining the milk forther? Can you use milk frothed and coffee machine at same time?

    • @MostlyHelpful
      @MostlyHelpful  Рік тому

      I do have the Nespresso milk frother but it is the "off board" version so I don't know if you can run it alongside the machine when it is built in. I suspect you can but perhaps another owner can confirm?

    My machine is already in the descale mode, no matter what I do. So I just run the cleaner through ? This is only the 2nd descale.

    • @MostlyHelpful
      @MostlyHelpful  Рік тому

      Once the machine is in descale mode then yes you can just run the cleaner through. But I would just check that you can exit that mode before committing yourself. Good luck!

    Fancy using something curved to support a flat bottomed jug of hot water!

    Hi, why didn't you just remove the drip tray from the front? 😁

    • @MostlyHelpful
      @MostlyHelpful  Рік тому +1

      It's a good question Lee - as I recall I thought I could get away with just balancing the jug without removing the drip tray.

    • @amarisun
      @amarisun Рік тому +1

      There is a lumpy part that sticks out when you remove the drip tray, and it’s harder to balance on that than just leaving the drip tray on, and the water drips close to the machine, so you have to have a water catching container pretty much pushed against the machine.

    Nespresso official videos actually recommend 2 rinses with clean water where as you only did one 😬
    I noticed on my first clean water rinse residue from the descaling so it wouldn't be ready in my opinion.

    • @MostlyHelpful
      @MostlyHelpful  Рік тому

      After cleaning, I tend to run a used pod through the machine to avoid any after taste just in case, but I've never done two full rinses.

    Only 0,5L of water is required!

    • @MostlyHelpful
      @MostlyHelpful  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching my video and yes, just 0.5l is needed.
