- Mendel's Classic monohybrid cross, explained using pea colors.
Traditionally, this is the F1 cross that follows the F0 cross of two homozygous parents- one homozygous dominant and one homozygous recessive. All of the offspring of the F0 cross are heterozygous (hybrids for a single trait).
This video explains the result of crossing two heterozygous organisms.
UGH you just saved my life at 3:51 AM 😭😭😭
Give me your insta id
PLEASE keep making these videos on genetic concepts. They are very helpful!
Well done!!
Nice name:)
Before learning a topic, it’s actually beneficial to watch a UA-cam video on it to dive deeper into it. So thanks for this one. 💖
Great job! This helped so much even for my 2000 level intro to genetics class
Your the best teacher I've ever encountered

I may have missed this concept but you go more in depth of genotypic ratio for monohybrid cross :)
can you go *
What do we call a cross between homozygous dominant and heterozygous conditions for a specific gene?
Thanks for the amazing video ❤
had to leave a comment thank you so much.

We had like 4 lessons of this thing explained to us (i didn't get), just to look it up on YT and understand everything in 3 min
Your voice is so nice 🥰🥰
Thank You So Much I Fully Understand now 👍
How about a cross between two individuals that are homozygous dominant and recessive ( i.e. pure individuals)? Is that not monohybrid cross ? Is there any difference between monohybrid cross and monohybrid inheritance? Thanks.
Is there any other way to f2 results?
How do you form the F2 from this please
Can u make a vedio or 30 min explaining many examples??well thnx for this
Edit: please reply!🤗
Yes, I´ll consider it. :-)
Hi i am learning this concept it's confusing when it's sex linked
How to download?
isnt it suppose to be a crossing between 2 true-breeding parents? like TT tt
Hi lantz
I didn't understand 😟
Mono in English means one (the number). Hybrid means a mix like the sea creature wholphin (the offspring of a dolphin and a whale). A mono hybrid cross is when two heterozygotes (examples: Yy, Gg, Mm.. etc) reproduce, their offsprings will be 3/4 dominant (YY and yy) and 1/4 recessive (yy).
