      Great job! What about the water temperature on Summer? Does the water gets too hot? I'm thinking about to do the same, but I'm worried if I'll end up having a big hit tub on summer.

    When you watch a project in a series of videos spread out over time. You get a good idea of the work that is being done in that moment. When you put together a video like this. You get the full scope of the project. That was a really big project!! The dirt work you did was top notch and the deck should last for years. I don't know if I would have taken on this one but hats off too you for pulling it off!! It looks great! Have a great weekend Tony!! P.S. counting the days!! LOL

    Wasn't sure whether I was going to like the end result after seeing other try the same, but I think with the care you have shown I now think yours is a superb job for this combination.
    I've enjoyed both longer and time lapse versions but I think the best thing about this project was that you both worked your nuts off together, simple it how it should be in a team and you guys have it in spades or should I say tractors. An honest applause to you both.👏👏👏

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому

      This is not the Walmart Intex. Many people have this pool up 7 years and counting. A concrete pool will need expensive maintenance in ten years. If I have to change the pool out every 5 years, I will still save thousands of dollars and I get to swim debt free.

    Beautiful pool!!!! My only concern with this is that those Intex pools are known to be of very shoddy construction and Intex's customer support is widely viewed as unreliable. Intex's various support mounts, etc., tend to rot out within a couple of years. I know because my sister has has two of these Intex pools over the past six years and both of them had significant deterioration of the infrastructure after just a few seasons. Imagine what a pain it's going to be to have to tear up that gorgeous deck to replace those parts (or worse, the entire pool) when parts rust out and fail.

      Cost changes for area to area and year to year. You will have to get a material list together and do a little homework. We hit about 7-8k overall with everything finished. It can be done less expensive for sure, but I over built everything.

    Few questions if you dont mind.
    1) did you have to have it pre designed or you built and modified as you progressed in work?
    2) is it easy to replace the pool if it gets old or damaged beyond repair without changing the surrounding?
    3) does this type/size of work require permit?

      Had a plan in my head. Not much room for anything else.
      It is easy to replace the pool. God bless you too! 😇

    Ummm I like this video but what happens when it rains? It's going to run though those boards and erode that dirt and sand under the pool. Is there a drain pipe to direct it out of that hole in the ground?

    How hard is it going to be when you have to replace the liner in a few years? Also, what about the rain that collects in the area around the outside of the pool? Those legs are going to rust out is few years and that's going to be a real pain to replace.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure I have watched the video many times. I'm planning to do the same thing and am trying to find answers to those questions and concerns. I was thinking maybe you made the decking removable.

      The ground at the back of my pool is lower than the ground at the front. it has drains that go out to a point in the yard that is lower than the lowest part of the pool. I have an opening on the right side of the pool as you look at the video. I can literally walk around bent over under my pool. I wholeheartedly expect my pool to last at least 10 years. We cover it in the winter and remove all water. It is only stressed during summer. These types of pools will not take cold weather as the vinyl sidewalls get brittle during the coldest weather.

    any chance you have the plans?? planning to sink my pool, but need to submit plans to obtain my permit, & am having a hard time starting know what I want, just need something to go off of so I have everything "correct"... lol... any way you could help???

      I built it in my head and then built it in real life. We did a rough sketch and rolled on. There is no correct. There is good enough. I grew up building stuff, and I have a decent understanding of physics. We are right in the middle of a cabin build right now.

    So I guess that's in the U.S. I see videos again and again where wood is used with earth contact.
    For simple things I do that too, but never for such constructions, because you can only tear it away when it rots. What kind of wood do you use in the States for something like that?

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому

      Pressure treated wood. If we keep it dry on the inside, it will last 20-25 years. We will not care after that. We also treat it for insects.

    Great video! Curious if you thought about insulating your pool (on the outside) before building the deck around it? We have a smaller circular pool and I'm working on getting our pool water warmer this year. How are your water temps in Tennessee? (We're in Oregon)

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому

      We have very hot summers with many days of 100 degrees with heat indexes up to 120. I bought one of the long black solar heaters to make it get warmer earlier this year. I will see how that works.I also run a gas line out to the pool so that I can use a gas pool heater. The gas pool heaters are like $2,200.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure That's somewhat similar to Oregon, but we're closer to 90 degree summer days with a few days over 100. I'm considering the same type of solar heater for my pool but I'll be doing it DIY. I don't have gas supply in my neighborhood, so it's either solar or electricity for me. Thanks for your reply!
