Time Lapse. Can you put above ground pools in the ground? Would You Try a sunk pool? Share with friends you think that would try this. We just completed a DIY Do It Yourself In-ground Dropped Above Ground Pool retreat. It is our little piece of Heaven. We dug a pit and dropped the pool over 4ft. The pool is an Intex Ultra XTR Frame 16ft x 32ft x 52 inch saltwater above ground pool. Check out our video as we discuss the process turning it into an in-ground pool. It is the least expensive way to get a quality in-ground pool on a budget. Part 1 of this series tells the story with insight from our experience. • Never Seen a Pool Buil...

Great job! What about the water temperature on Summer? Does the water gets too hot? I'm thinking about to do the same, but I'm worried if I'll end up having a big hit tub on summer.

When you watch a project in a series of videos spread out over time. You get a good idea of the work that is being done in that moment. When you put together a video like this. You get the full scope of the project. That was a really big project!! The dirt work you did was top notch and the deck should last for years. I don't know if I would have taken on this one but hats off too you for pulling it off!! It looks great! Have a great weekend Tony!! P.S. counting the days!! LOL

That was awesome Tony. Great idea you had. I love it when someone says "it can't be done" then you show them. Yeah it can be done, then you show them. Your tractor experience is a big Blessing too. The little wife is pretty good too on the tractor.

That is an incredible amount of work -- and materials. I just built a little 10x10 deck next to an Intex 12x24 so I can easily imagine how much effort (looks like the wife was doing a LOT more than most would) and expense went into this. I like it!

Wasn't sure whether I was going to like the end result after seeing other try the same, but I think with the care you have shown I now think yours is a superb job for this combination.
I've enjoyed both longer and time lapse versions but I think the best thing about this project was that you both worked your nuts off together, simple it how it should be in a team and you guys have it in spades or should I say tractors. An honest applause to you both.👏👏👏

Great video of the pool project 👍 The end result is very nice looking Deck and Pool great job to everyone involved 👍. A Canopy is a wonderful thing to have on any tractor for sure that sun got me a few times this year. So I got a canopy for my New Holland now no more sunburn lol. This year has been very busy we are finding ourselves over ran with tractor work so we purchased a second tractor for the wife she got a Kioti CK3510 HST loaded with extra options and a Arkansas built rotary cutter for a very low price. Thanks for sharing.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому

This is not the Walmart Intex. Many people have this pool up 7 years and counting. A concrete pool will need expensive maintenance in ten years. If I have to change the pool out every 5 years, I will still save thousands of dollars and I get to swim debt free.

Beautiful pool!!!! My only concern with this is that those Intex pools are known to be of very shoddy construction and Intex's customer support is widely viewed as unreliable. Intex's various support mounts, etc., tend to rot out within a couple of years. I know because my sister has has two of these Intex pools over the past six years and both of them had significant deterioration of the infrastructure after just a few seasons. Imagine what a pain it's going to be to have to tear up that gorgeous deck to replace those parts (or worse, the entire pool) when parts rust out and fail.

Few questions if you dont mind.
    1) did you have to have it pre designed or you built and modified as you progressed in work?
    2) is it easy to replace the pool if it gets old or damaged beyond repair without changing the surrounding?
    3) does this type/size of work require permit?

With this build can and or do you leave your pool up year round??. Could you do a video of how it looks now being that this video is 2 years old? Wait let me check first lol

We leave the pool up drained under a cover. The pool has performed well. This is the fourth summer. It took us a while getting around to editing the video. Nothing to see under the deck. It looks very much like it did when we built it. I hit the pool today! I would love to accommodate you on the video, but putting a video together, is a good deal of work. I don't think there is enough interest.

It turned out perfect. But I was looking for more details on the actual pool part. How you did your wall support on the narrow side. Thanks.

If it would just warm up. The pool is open. We are having a rather cool wet late spring. Thank you for watching.

Hey Tony I have a RhinoHide canopy on my N/H wm25s and love it. Goes on and off great, lightweight but strong. I love the pool Tony, you guys did great, project came out wonderful. You have me willing to try this but it will be a next year project at the earliest due to others ahead of it and the funding. That is something I would like to ask if you have a general budget you could share.

Are you in cold weather climate? Do you drain the pool in the winter? I know they recommend draining those pools in the cold weather.
    It looks awesome !!

We arecin a mild climate with some freezing. I drain it at the end of year.

My only negative comment would be the pool being so close to the trees and all the leaves that will need to be skimmed on a regular basis.

You are not kidding. We are taking all those trees down. It was a pain in the butt late summer.

I have the same problem and while I love trees, they are near the pool so I have a love/hate relationship with them right now. Where I live (NJ) they charge an arm and a leg to remove trees so for now I’m living with them.

What happened when it rained?Does the void fill with water?
Did you make a way in the deck to get to get to the filter when needed? Did you drain this pool in wintertime and un-assemble?
What made you decide on this versus a resin or steel pool since they are close in cost?
    Thanks!

Look at the video around 03:22. The rain water drains out the back. It is not completely sunk.

Hello, this looks amazing. We are currently working on our pool. We ran into standing water issue. Any recommendations for draining rain water??

    • @TonysTractorAdventure

I mean this with respect. You have to have your drainage figured out before you put the pool in. Mine drained out the back down hill. No standing water around the pool.
