I know ill get hate but this is the one and only scene i felt like pedro nailed joel. I get what he was going for throughout the season but it didn't work for me
I agree. The crossed arms, the head movements, but mostly, it's the far off look in his eyes as he listens to Henry knowing what it's like. He seems dismissive, but he's always listening, and when henry gets to saying that Joel is a man with a heart, Joel instantly tries to deflect by bringing reality back to the situation and wanting to move on.
