Would LOVE to overfly Greenland! But I''m just a VFR guy. I think it may be a bit too dicey weather wise for such a pilot. Your thoughts on this having done it? Cheers
It is required to be IFR rated on this route and that is good. Best time to fly this route is in summer. Good preparation and equipment is important to minimize the risks and I will probably do it again - thinking back every day!
Hello Herman, I'm curious - the right aft fuselage area below the canopy has what looks like a fuel cap built in. Is this for the 10 gallon aux tank you used for the Oshkosh trip? Is the tank permanent in your baggage area or take it out when flying local? - thanks
You´re right, that is the fuel cap for the aux tank in the rear. The aux tank is removable by just removing two bolts and disconnecting the flexible fuel and vent lines.
You´re right, just a few pics from Iceland. For my excuse the weather arriving and departing Iceland was not perfect. I have to do the trip again and fill the gap!
So beautiful! Great flying!
One of the Best vids ever. So epic.
Outstanding! Makes me want to do it!
Awesome!
Great stuff Herman. We are looking forward to more
Super, Hermann!👍
Amazing adventure! Can you explain how you managed fuel?
Fantastic!!!

Curious why no video of Iceland, also on return trip. Is it restricted by them or just camera issues?
