    As a small manufacturer of carbon fibre parts, it REALLY bugs me when some one comes to me and says "I can find that on eBay for way cheaper". Finally someone said something about it!

      Claase Design
      Haha I'm friends with an aircraft builder /reengineer...
      I took him to a show and he was quite amused with the average products out there in composites.
      Like a real hood would be 1000$ , but the eBay one is 359 shipped.
      That's because it's just a layer of cf on the top and bottom and the rest is old school fiberglass.

      Perfect example! I've seen this so many times haha. Maybe people will eventually come to realise that it does actually cost more to get a quality piece.

      As a tuner and engine builder, I've found no matter what your prices, somebody somewhere will ALWAYS tell you this! I just say politely to them: "If you can get it cheaper somewhere else, feel free to buy from there - and when it breaks, I'm happy to build it for you properly!"

    How to fix car culture:
    1.) Stop giving a shit what other people do to their cars
    2.) Do whatever you like
    It's really not that complex

      Joel Cairns True, I agree, who gives a shit about how much money you put in a build or if you use eBay parts, you are not a expert but a Enthusiast. Period. Everyone categories themselves to be recognized. My build is my way, if people want to throw their opinion on it that's fine whether it positive or negative. No one is better than anyone else an if you think you are cause you spent more money on your build your a tool. Everybody in the car community deserves respect. Remember you are just a Car Enthusiast.

Nonetheless, I did feel like you do, but I am not anymore. Those types of enthusiasts maybe annoying but in my mind there's only one group ruining car culture: the speculators who push the cost of cars far past what most people can afford. I hate people who see cars as an investment.

    • @shaunmark1
      @shaunmark1 6 років тому +7

      That would be the number 1... people who just buy cars to store them as an investment. I get it for certain cars. How many Ford GT's do you think will actually get driven? It's depressing to think of the answer. Some need stored, yes, but for F's sake you only live once.

What, you gonna sell it and lose a bunch of money, or race it, have lots of fun, and make way more than what the cars worth in sponsorship money? These speculators know nothing about cars, and are blinded by greed to not realize that there's a better investment opportunity if they actually drove the cars instead of treating it like it's stock in a company.

    My favorite fake fact that I've heard from people about my own car, an '83-'85 RX7, is that "It has a front subframe from a early Foxbody Mustang".
    I also hear it ridiculously often... UGH.

    As a minor who can realistically only make minimum wage and legally only work 20 hours a week I find it pretty hard not to use ebay as my main source for parts. I certainly dont go around thinking my parts are just as good as genuine name brand products and I would much rather be using a name brand turbo but I honestly just cant afford it. The way I see it if I use the cheaper ebay parts I get to do what I love to do more often. But if I save up for all these name brand parts then most of my time is going to be spent saving up money and doing nothing. I think what you said about these parts being rip offs and them destroying companies is totally true and I agree with everything you said but I thought I would just represent us poor people lol

    • @typingreallyfast
      @typingreallyfast 7 років тому +15

      Philip Brandt he's not faulting people buying cheaper stuff. He's faulting people buying cheap fake stuff and act all hot shit and companies ripping off designs with no originality whatsoever and selling them off for a sixth of the price, i.e. pirates
      I own a bike instead of a car and also limited genuine parts to the mechanical-operation ones, like lube, engine parts, chains etc. and used China shit for probably the side mirror, handlebars, and grips. I can tell you these cheap stuff, you win at buying them but lose at using them because they wear down real fast and I find myself looking for spare parts already within like 6 months. Once I got a decently paying job, I began replacing them with genuine parts and boy, they last well and using them just feels different. I feel more confident and safe.
      There's a reason why genuine parts are priced like they are. Other than the branding, marketing, and operational overhead of big companies, you just know that they've been through serious R&D and proper testing before release, and there's always warranty. Unlike China shit, they don't skimp on material and manufacturing costs.

    • @KennyatHumble
      @KennyatHumble  7 років тому +53

      This is going to sound harsh, I don't mean it to talk down to you, but cars are a hobby. Thinking you deserve to be able to put knockoff parts (not cheaper parts, stolen designs) on a car just because you're subject to 'entitlement' thinking. Rather than dreaming, aspiring, and working towards a goal, we as a people seek instant gratification. I personally think you'll never find true gratification in something you did just because that's what you could afford within your few month window rather than looking at a build as a few year process. For example, I have a 3rd gen rx7 that hasn't run for 2 years because I want it done right. I could have taken the cheap shortcuts and got it running quickly, but I would rather know it was done right than done quick.

      I can kinda relate. I'm a student that works 2 days a week and I live away from home so I have little to put aside for my car. Becuase of this my car itself is a little lunch box (which I love) and there is no huge range of parts. like I want coils and only 3/4 different companies make them so ive never really had the cheap option but I can understand why you would take that route. Just remember to invest into small companies because the more you help them, the more they will help you buliding the community. so in the long run, it may be worth waiting that little longer and saving that little more

You don't have to respect someones build if you don't want to- but trashing those who respect others builds? Not cool, man.
    Telling people to stay away from ebay? I don't like ebay parts, I agree that most are shit, but outright shitting on the budget builders who don't have the $500 for an intake who still want to have the fun of jacking around with their car? The people who buy those ebay parts 99% of the time wont have the money to drop on the expensive quality stuff. there is no loss of business.

Most legit intakes can be bought for as little as 150, with the proper knowledge and resources. My Injen CAI I just ordered costs 217 with free shipping. Not all car parts are expensive man, you just have to know what you're doing and who you're doing business with. Btw, this guy wasn't shtting on other peoples' builds just for the hell of it. He's talking about people who play dubstep out their rusted-out Honda Civics with an eBay ricer wing and annoying as hell poor-quality subwoofer, and tell you crap like "I beat an Enzo once, you wanna race me??" (And they actually mean it...) If your whole goal was to make the riciest (dont know if that's a word or not lol) build for kick and giggles, by all means GO NUTS. I think that's hilarious. Just like guys that saved up their entire lives for that Porsche 911 or Nissan GT-R, save up your money and in due-time, you'll get what you earned....

    Maybe if parts manufacturers didn't overprice the hell out of everything people wouldn't buy so many eBay parts.
    A lot of the stuff on Ebay is pretty much the same anyways. Some "legit" companies even buy stuff from china in bulk, rebrand it and sell it for 4 times the price of the generic eBay brand.
    I personally think Ebay parts are a really great thing for consumers. It creates competition with parts manufacturers. It keeps prices down and quality up.
    I also think it's great that somebody can build a car on a budget with (certain) eBay parts and have a car that performs the same as a car with genuine parts. The only downside of it is it hurts the egos of people that spent 4 times as much on genuine parts.
    And I'm not talking about complex parts like turbos, coilovers etc. I'm talking about things like intercooler piping, downpipes, intakes, intercoolers, radiators, etc. Especially cosmetic parts.

    When i was learning to build computers in my late teens. I practiced on DIRT CHEAP parts... intel celerons instead of the pentiums... cheap ass no brand name ram... IDE harddrives while SATA was the new standard. I built and worked on hundreds hundreds... and i got the practical skills of someone who has been doing the job for decades in a few years.
    When i was 19 i put together 22 PCs from scratch in 8 hours (os and all) By my self. because there was a paperwork mix up and everything came down to the wire. Some of the cable management could have been better but they were all up and running and ready for shipping at the end of the day.
    Guess what... all those parts were top of the line shit (of the day). Do you know how i was able to do it so efficiently? Because sticking a 10 dollar stick of ram into a slot is the same process as sticking a 50 dollar stick of ram into a slot. I had the practice and repetition and "experience".
    The people that purchased those dirt cheap PCs btw were POOR and struggling and had no way in hell of paying for a "normally priced" computer.... I saw you call someone privileged in the comments section because they said they are too poor to buy expensive parts... Do you understand that you are actually the privileged one because you are able to buy expensive parts?

    • @KennyatHumble
      @KennyatHumble  7 років тому +11

      It requires no privilege to buy an original, non-counterfeit part. Cheaper parts =/= Counterfeit parts.

    • @Skitzotech
      @Skitzotech 7 років тому +64

      Lets not mince words here good friend the fact that they are counterfeit isnt the reason people are buying them... It's because they are cheap. If the original was the same price as the counterfeit then no one would buy the fake. So lets not get away from the real cause and effect here.
      Brand named parts are expensive
      Ebay parts are cheap
      Poor people dont have money
      So poor people buy the cheaper parts
      What you are suggesting is taking a LARGE group of people and telling them to not be part of car culture because they arent "cool enough" (rich enough) Do you know how much smaller car culture would be if everyone who has ever bought/used a fake part just upped ant took your advice and just not participate in car culture?
      I'm a gamer at the age of 15-20 i was literally one step above being a hobo so to play any games I had to pirate like jack sparrow. When i finally got done with schooling and was able to get a steady paycheck the first thing i did was head to the mall and buy a legit copy of Bad company 2 a game that i have pirated and fallen inlove with... Since that day i have never pirated another game.
      What I am getting at is not everyone is as financially able as you may be. Was i right for pirating when i was broke? FUCK NO! But it got me into hooked into gaming and since then i have probably spent more than 30,000 dollars EASY on gaming related things... Everyone starts somewhere... they arent born with the fire sometimes it takes someone buying an ebay turbo then 10 years later he is the number 1 dragster in his state...

    • @sarcastixx74
      @sarcastixx74 7 років тому +14

      Bullshit. Counterfeit by definition is "made in exact imitation of something valuable with the intention to deceive or defraud". That means putting, for example an HKS label on a generic turbo and passing it off as the genuine thing. Aftermarket, alternative, etc are NOT fucking counterfeit. Best get your shit in order before attempting to denegrate your entire audience. A lot of OEM parts are that bad that uprated, aftermarket parts are produced as they last longer and in a lot of cases have more flexibility in their functionality. So the aftermarket parts that are dearer than OEM are shit too? You don't even know your own shit, saying one thing in a vid then ranting contradictions in the comment section. Which you said at the start of the vid you weren't interested in. Ooh, the irony.

    • @Skitzotech

      I cant believe I'm actually gonna entertain this reply... sigh.
      "Uhh.. maybe you should not be playing games & focusing on work or something." - This here is how you cultivate a generation filled with school shooters and mental instability (all work and no play as they say, gaming was my stress relief). And I'm not sure how things work in your country but paying someone under the age of 18 for work done is called "child labor" and its a crime. So getting any job higher than mowing lawns and washing windows is almost impossible. Age 18-24 Is literal 90% of your time in a book or classroom the other 10% is sleep and "unwinding". God I dont believe i have to explain this.
      "If you cannot afford to do it right, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place." - aaaaaand copy pasting my previous reply to this exact sentiment.... "telling them to not be part of car culture because they arent 'cool enough'" Here is an example of your sentiment applied to other things... Person cant afford a sports car like a Ferrari or a (insert expensive fast car here) you are telling them to either save, work them selves to the bone for decades to buy the "expensive sports car" STAY OUT OF OUR COOL KIDS CLUB ..... and if you buy a Miata and upgrade it you are scum and ruining "sports car culture"
      "YES. GOOD. It needs to be smaller." - HAHAHAHA you are trying to fix the issue of people buying fake/cheap parts and putting after market parts makers out of business........ by cutting a HUGE portion of their "potential" buyers out of the picture. XD literally shed a tear laughing there. So off the bat i know you arent in marketing cuz you would run that company into the ground so fast. You see all those car shows with sparse crowds? or all those drag strips with half empty bleachers? Lets see all those venues stay open when a large part of "the culture" takes your advice and dips.
      Lastly im gonna sum up the rest in saying... Do it right from the start huh? So forget the guys who started with nothing but their moms basement and some scrap parts that weren't even supposed to be used in that manner.... if we forget that then i wonder what you would be reading this comment on right now? If people didn't start out somewhere then the world would be in the says of covered wagons and open torches still. As i said before not everyone has what you have ... you missed the big one: the idiots that Ruin their damn cars with the stupid over camber bullshit. people that do that literally should have their cars taken away. it looks stupid for one, but the main thing is THAT IT RUINS THE DAMN CARS HANDLING BECAUSE WHEN YOU ONLY HAVE HALF THE DAMN TIRE TOUCHING THE GROUND HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO GET ANYTHING RESEMBLING GRIP?
    especially the people that camber the rears more than the fronts, thats now how it works, ugghhh.
    a little bit of camber is fine and can increase handling, but anything more than like 10 degrees (and even thats probably too much) especially on the rears and you're ruined your car.
    edit: googled it and optimal negative camber angles dont seem to go above 5 degrees. so even 10 degrees is way too much

    Of course you're entitled to your own opinion, but this is a comment section, so here's mine.
    1. "The Ebay Parts Kiddos", first of all, no one should have to be entitled to help or give out to the car community if they don't feel like doing so. No one actually cares about these chinese manufacturers making replica parts unless you're involved in the business or if you've been scammed, most people wouldn't buy unoriginal parts as they can be flawed by the manufacturer and unreliable, so you're talking about a small percentage of people which don't actually "ruin the car community."
    2. You waving around 26k gained subs in the comments like it's some sort of respectable accomplishment and feeling entitled to feel as if you're to be respected because of that is laughable. Yet you respond towards all those disliking your video; not by making a new video, announcement, or alter a change in your videos, but by responding with negativity. That's the golden rule of thumb for a bad UA-camr.
    I'm simply saying, if you make a video that just so happens to get near 50-50 ration likes/dislikes, maybe you should actually consider anything wrong you might've done, instead of rubbing your subscribers in other people's faces.

Replica kits have terrible fitment issues, and tend to need 10x the work to make them look half as good as the kit their knocking off.

      I think the definition of rice has been lost really. In fact there are two original versions to describe, " performance modified stock vehicles", and "cosmetic visuals on stock vehicles." Rice A, is "Racing Influenced Car Enhancements," which means that performance that are influenced by racing counterpart cars from professional racing designed for racing. That includes your weight saving, Aero, spoilers, engine parts, you name it. However, Rice B, is "Racing Influenced cosmetic Enhancements," is different and by that it is by the word "cosmetic", which means it has miniscule to no effect on a car's performance. For so to say, stickers, recoating, and wraps fit in this category. Ricer C, is just the food you eat. Ricer D, on the other hand is just an insult used by enthusiasts to other car enthusiasts who finds what "they themselves" find to be distasteful to what other car enthusiasts do to their own cars. Which is definitely opinionated. So I say that Ricer D gets used more so often for insult rather by using the other definitions stated that fit their acronym perfectly.

    Honestly, the only people who ruin the car scene are the people who shit on someone because they did something to there car that they’ve wanted to and they paid for it. Let people do what they want to their own car because it’s there own car. Everyone’s car deserves just as much respect as any other car because they still put the time and money into it. The person who buys only eBay parts for their Civic deserves just as much respect as the guy with the 1000 horsepower Supra built on authentic parts. Because, guess what? They both took the time to show off there car because they are proud of it, so don’t shit them down because they didn’t buy real Works. You never know anyone’s financial situation, and not everyone can afford $800 per wheel. Everyone’s car is worthy of respect. I don’t care if you buy a fake HKS BOV or a real genuine HKS from BOV straight from Japan, because they both worked hard for that product, whether they paid $80 or $800. Don’t shit on someone because they can’t afford a part. Not everyone can afford expensive shit. Like me, I bought ESRs rep brides for my Mustang because I’m not in a position to spend $800 for one seat or $800 for a single wheel. And, they do they same thing. Do I respect the genuine parts, yes. Do I wish I could and plan to buy the genuine parts, yes. Can I do it right now, no. Because I’m only 17 and that shits expensive, and working at Walmart isn’t paying a lot. With that being said, I don’t sit around and say that they are genuine parts. And it’s not because I’m embarrassed, it’s because I’m proud of them. Because I worked hard for those parts. It still took me 7-8 paychecks to buy my wheels, tires, and seats because they were still a good $2000 for everything, so just imagine if I bought the real parts. I’d be saving for three months just to buy a seat or a wheel. And I’m definitely not doing that, so I went the rep route. Doesn’t mean I’m 100% happy that I did it, because I’m not. But just because I bought a rep doesn’t mean my car doesn’t deserve the respect that the guy who bought real parts gets, because it does. Because, we both did the same thing. We both used our hard earned money to buy them, and we both put in the work to install them.

    I personally like EBay parts. No they aren't "as good" as genuine parts but I do think enthusiast cars are something that should be accessible to everyone. I'm 17 and just bought myself an 1993 NA-6 Miata.
    I do not think everyones build should have to be aesthetically nice or use 100% Genuine parts as it comes back down to money. Money shouldn't be an issue, That's why i think even the brokest guy using all EBay parts deserves respect. Its because he is one of us. By only giving respect to the "nicer" looking builds you are dividing the car community into social classes.
    My point being I think the 600+ WHP 4 Rotor RX-7 and the 100 WHP 197K Mile Daily Miata should get the same respect provided they aren't jackasses.

Just because someone can't afford or is not willing to spend a lot on name brand parts doesn't give you a reason to hate them. To each their own man don't hate on someone for what parts they buy. Also it's not about respecting everyone's ride its about not being a dick to someone for doing something they like.

    I don't get the Ebay parts. I mean, if the imitation parts work like radiators and such that you can get for WAAAY cheaper ($110 vs 250), why not? Sure it undercuts the main aftermarket companies but at least you got cheap parts to use, especially for someone who rags on their cars alot that need constant cheap parts.
    Look. You have to realize that there are tons of college kids who want to have a modified import or even muscle car but they're not sharks with tons of money to throw around like a maniac or have the will to force themselves to mod a car they want but then eat breadcrumbs every meal. These ebay mods give them hope. Of course you have to know what mods they are and how they work. Ebay mods don't get my hate in general as when I was in college, my NA1 NSX also had some imitation ebay parts from Thailand like racing grade oil pump and at one point imitation Advan wheels. What do get my hate are those who buys ebay parts and does ridiculous shits to their cars that either makes it worse or even doesn't work.. Like a fartcan on a Dodge Neon or a non-SiR/Type R Civic. If you know how to utilize the parts, go ahead and get ebay ones. I don't care.

    • @touristguy87
      @touristguy87 5 років тому

      That's one of the main points he's trying to make that is utter bullshit.
      A part is not necessarily a bad part, one that is going to leave you stranded by the highway or at the bottom of a ditch, just because it's a cheap Chinese knockoff.
      And if it wasn't for cheap Chinese knockoffs a lot of people wouldn't have cars to ride. Yeah it's illegal, somewhat immoral and unethical...but only if you ignore the benefits to those who cannot afford to keep their cars running with either factory parts or legitimate, "quality" 3rd-party parts. Sometimes you just need a cheap, half-ass part just to keep it running. Are they illegal to make and sell? If they are mislabeled copyright-violating parts, yes. You're damm straight. Are they going to be made and sold by the millions anyway?
      Of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      How many Honda owners have a legitimate, genuine Honda exhaust on their car?
      Oil filter? You name it, if they're deep in the miles they've got cheap as knockoff parts on their car. Are they labeled as Honda parts? Probably not because it would be obvious that they are counterfeit parts, right? Because you KNOW that if they are legitimate Honda parts they're not going to be price-competitive.
      Cheap, knock-off parts are one thing.
      Counterfeit parts are one thing. Stolen parts are another thing entirely.
      Ebay sees all of the above including legitimate factory parts that dealers dump on eBay because they can't source the parts, can't continue to list them, can't sell them and need to dump their inventory. Same thing with warehouses and 3rd-party vendors. Same with Craigslist, Amazon, all of them, as long as they can hide the fact that they're stolen thieves will sell them. But how would you know that they are stolen? You have no proof that they are stolen, you know the market is full of legitimate parts from legitimate vendors and resellers, and you're going to condemn the entire market? I guess that's like the time during Daytona bikeweek when the cops accused everyone on a sportbike of street-racing and confiscated every sportbike they saw...even the ones parked in hotel parking-lots.
      The cops were right in that a large number of sportbikes had been street-racing or would be street-racing soon. That doesn't justify confiscating every sportbike they saw south of Jacksonville. Or I don't know, maybe it does.
      after all why should they not just confiscate everything that might be used in a crime

      Hey I like a lot of what you are saying, especially the parts about the know it all who knows nothing. As well as the part about, those so called ebay parts kiddies. As I have run up on both of those people, even in the digital world with people who design 3D cars and bikes. In the digital design community, we see a lot of that with people ripping builds from GTA then importing them into other systems for personal gain just like you spoke about the ebay parts kiddies doing. But I have had a huge problem, with the know it all who knows nothing when talking to some of my trucker friends who drive semi's for a living. And it is usually with some know it all, that talks about how much better a turbine engine is compared to a diesel, without understanding the applications that both engines are used in.

      Please Take A Sip What? How is rocket bunny pandem a rep of liberty walk? Yes they both are widebody kits but are different designs. And my point was what do you think of TJ Hunt because he used a rep V3 kit and I was wondering where that stood on his morality scale.

      You're so wrong it's not funny. Designed by the guy, made by the same people and factory in Japan, marketed by two different companies.
      The kits are the same.

    Before you say 'not everyone can afford genuine parts', that is 150% your fault. Cars are a hobby, an expensive one at that. You want the cool kid parts? You gotta make the cool kid money. That requires having a cool kid job. That also means taking care of your cool kid responsibilities. If you say 'not everyone can afford to spend their money on car parts', good. That's what makes a proper build that much more appreciable. The most annoying counter argument is "I have to pay for X, I have to pay for Y, that's why I can't pay for car parts". Here's a secret, every single person in life has financial obligations as well. Almost every adult pays for their bills and kids, no excuses. Rather than get your quick fix because you feel you're entitled to use a stolen design part, work harder for what you aspire to build and appreciate it that much more.

    • @KennyatHumble
      @KennyatHumble  7 років тому +9

      It's almost as if you didn't read or listen to anything I've said.
      I'm specifically speaking about COUNTERFEIT parts. Parts that claim to be Greddy, HKS, or Apexi, but are not. Go to ebay, look up 'HKS SSQV', almost every single listing is a FAKE part. Go to ebay, look up 'Greddy Type S BOV' almost every single listing is a fake part. Go to ebay, look up Tial MV-S Wastegate, all those dirt cheap ones? They're FAKE.
      People ripping off part designs and selling parts as those parts only to have them fail destroys company reputations, it cuts into their development costs. That's the issue. Making similar parts that serve the same function? No big deal. Running a wheel that maybe kinda sorta looks like another wheel? No big deal. Running a body kit that emulates another body kit? No big deal.
      Stealing a brand name part, copying it 1:1 and selling it as that brand part with inferior materials? Yes, that is a big deal.

      I get it. Good parts are pricey. Sure I could get a twin turbo "Greddy" system for $50 on eBay. I'd rather get the parts worth getting, if I had hafta save up for them. Especially rims. There was an article on knock-off rims on CarThrottle not too long ago. Sometimes ya gotta go cheap...but still...

    • @KennyatHumble
      @KennyatHumble  7 років тому +2

      Really...? Just looked up HKS SSQV on ebay, it's all malaysian and chinese parts. If you're not searching name brand parts, clearly you weren't listening to the point I was making.

    • @KennyatHumble
      @KennyatHumble  7 років тому +1

      Yes they are... All these 'HKS SSQV's use HKS branding and say they are HKS SSQV blow off valves...

      All those fake Tial MV-S Wastegates say they're Tial Wastegates. Fake Aeromative FPRs say they're Aeromative FPRs. All these parts are claiming to be OEM. You're simply not grasping it.

    Some of the "enthusiasts" that I've grown to hate are the Americans who blindly hate on imports and they worship trucks and muscle cars and say that they are better than everything else. It makes me mad that people even try to compare the two when they are meant for different things. Try taking your 1000 HP Duramax or 1000 HP Mustang on a touge race against an RX7 or Civic with significantly less power and see what happens. Someone's gonna end up in a ditch. Imports are solely meant to be a mix between decent power, reliability and good handling. Not driving in a straight line with 10 billion HP for 6 seconds down the 1/4 mile...

    You don't need to respect their build, the point of that statement is more to frown upon the people who go around talking shit just because someones car does fit THEIR preferences. If they ask you for your opinion then sure, say how you feel but don't go around giving your opinion on everything when nobody asked or wants it. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

      Agreed. Very late comment but This guy clearly is the type to shit on other people’s cars, I believe In all types of builds, no matter how unusual they are. It’s still THEIR car and clearly if they put lots of work into it, they’re an enthusiast in my eyes. So long as they don’t act like uppity pricks about it or try to race everyone , accelerate hard at every light, etc. either way, much agreed, doesn’t matter if they have to cheap out on parts. Not everyone is blessed with earning tons of money to dump into their car

    I'm a car enthusiast that doesn't know shit about how engines work. I just like how cars look and sound. My dream car is a R35, and recently I've been developing an appreciation from older cars from before the 2000s. I used to think the older porsche 911s looked ugly but now I think they're actually pretty nice.
