For comparison, the Azurpoly C-160 Transall is 30€ and is light years ahead in quality, and, well, basically in everything. We must support developers who deserve it.

I think Captain Sims business model is to target the casual gamer flight simmers who fly predominately in external view and don;t care about systems, flight dynamics, cockpits, etc. I believe back in the day they wanted to be a major player in aircraft simulation, but I think the standards and skills required to produce a high quality systems rich aircraft these days far exceeds their capabilities. I do believe relatively speaking their products in this case should be much cheaper.
You were in a stall. Look at your vsi as you were dropping like a stone. What you didn't get was a clean break. That's not unusual, and very similar to the Orion P3C.
Yeah well this test was the last one because as I said in the next review, after discussing with several dev studios it's not as relevant as I thought. 1st I never flew a c130 nor any plane, and each plane can react differently depending on weather conditions, 2nd Msfs is mainstream sim, as good as it is, it's not perfect either in the physics. So all in all, in french we have a saying "I put a bit of water into my wine"
Visual model looks really nice, but the flight model is seriously lacking. Also, no custom sounds and only one included paint scheme make it ridiculously overpriced.
I'm a t56 mech not a pilot but I believe because of the nature of the props and the large wings that are not stepped back like a 737 it's much harder to stall the wings in that way.

The model version in FSX was way better. 16 years in the real aircraft as a maintainer (C-130E, G, H, and MC-130E Talon I and Talon II, Compass Call, HC-130P/N)
appreciate the clarification. I've never seen a plane that doesn't stall, or that just loafs along like that.
So, like you, I still feel pretty much the same way about it.
Might get it if it goes on a deep discount sale, like $20, and there is still no alternative Herc. Because, as you say, it does look good. But that'd be all it's good for - looking at.
OR, if Captain Sim addresses the noted issues/omissions.
I could get along without the deep cargo simulation of the Transall, but the other things like the poor ramp action, no access to cargo bay, and ESPECIALLY the flight model? Nope - gonna have to wait and see.
Captain SIM make the BEST ai aircraft 😉. Just keep them at arms length!

On FSX Captin Sim was magnificent especially with there 727 I pickup the 767 and as most of you know they just bought over from FSX you can even go though the flight deck door with out opening it !
I had there C-130 727 757 ( that was great to ) and the 767 I thought they would be the quality nowadays but I was so wrong.

Having never flown a C-130 myself, I can tell you that some aircraft do not have a pronounced break in the stall, only a rate of descent while at high angle of attack.
Yeah so I spoke with several people and I'm gonna change the way I review the flight model because it's not that simple. Thx for your comment.
I think it’s a good start. I think they’re trying. But if captain sim wants my 40$ then do better. In the meantime I will fly the Transall.
Yes we can see some efforts but they are too greedy. C160 is the single best military transport aircraft in MSFS.

What Assistance settings were ON by accident? All of them?
Yes all settings were reset. I turned off most of them but forgot anti-stall...
@@CaptainKenobi Honestly, I hate those settings! I always have them off. Much faster to learn to fly with ALL as Hard, than having to re-learn to fly differently each time one setting is disabled. I show them as Hard in most my videos.
Oh yeah definitely, everything is turned off on mine (except when the sim decides otherwise...)
@@CaptainKenobi And some developers have to make sure some settings are off, otherwise the Fly By Wire can't work properly. Honestly, they made a SIMULATOR, and created settings to make it as a game. Hello?!
