this is quite useful, got them 2 inch ratchet straps and i hate them always falling apart when you spend the time to roll them up. being that i rarely use them but have to have them imma do this
There are rubber bands that truck stops and any tarp/securement shop sell that are used to keep them rolled if you wish. If its the center that falls out, you just need to roll them tighter weather your hand rolling or using a strap winder.
Best method I have seen yet! Thank you. Rhino USA makes some retractable rathet straps that are real nice but there price is not so nice on the wallet.
Or have a little pride in your work and tools. Bet the rest of your truck is an unorganized disaster with 12 McDonald’s bags on the floor. Take 20 seconds to organize your straps, or take 5 min to untangle them when you need them.
@@sebastianusami tools are not people. tools are an item to make money. every chop saw table saw strap nail gun etc is all crap made in china.. my dewalt chop saw is a throw away item. my makita battery tools are throw away items...so are my straps. building homes in PNW in the rain and mud doesn't require pride in my tools...maybe for a cabinet guy or something you can be slow and anal. not when you are working outside competing against immigrant labor...just saying
Same, but I stick the whole bundle in a beer coozie, because people give them out for everything and I have too many. Then all the straps in their beer coozies go in a big plastic bag so they all stay bundled and zero tangles.
I feel like it takes the same amount of time to untangle them vs wrapping nicely. Now I just seperate strap and ratchet then throw in 10 gallon bucket. Have about 40 of em this way😅
That is nice but when I throw the wrapped end over my load, the hook is going to hit the side of my truck or my helpers head. Always wrap from the bare end. Much safer. Watch truckers do that on their big straps.
mine are in the map pocket on the drivers seat and the little cubby hole on the rear driver side door, and currently some may just be rolling around on the floor, gotta check that.
That's good if you only have two or three ratchet straps in your vehicle just in case anybody use them once a month or once every couple months if not I would suggest a footlong place of velcro stick around there from their ego some small industrial rubber bands
Just lap around the longest strap and tie it together with paracord via a Canadian jam knot. Just store the two together and put together when you need it.
I do something similar only dont olay with tails and all that just wrap the ratchet around the strap then hook the ratchet and hook works just as good and way quicker to wrap and unwrap
Put it in, wrap it round, thread it through, put it over, at exactly 1 and 14/16 of a mile take the other end and find a hedgehog with a limp. Then after you have wrapped trained the dolphin to whistle Dixie…. Oh yes you need a dolphin…… more next week.
A better one I've learned is you take ankle socks Arab tractor trailer up over itself I just slide in the the sock keeps it from enrolling and keeps it clean and just toss them in a bucket

Gonna be doing that on company time and only on company time
😂😂
purty much
😂😂😂

If you take your ratchet strap apart everytime after using I believe you are a psychopath
Correct!
It’s me, I’m a psychopath.
Depends on your job or what you are doing. Much safer to throw the free end of the strap vs the hook or the whole rachet and hook.
If I take em apart there a 50/50 chance I forget how to put them together in a few month and I know how to do it too my memory is just shit
I'm with you

Every one else is hating, but I’m heading outside to do this now! Thanks for the idea!
I know right! I practiced a few times and can now do it in less than a minute! Cheers! 😁

So you rather untangle them sometime in the future. Tell me you work by the hour without telling me you work by the hour.
Haha. Yeah, they getting tossed in the back until i need to untangle them to use them again
Nice idea also dangerous when you throw the strap over your load i always leave the hook on the outside a strap don't damage a car as bad as the hook
Cool, but I'm still just going to keep mine in a bag and untangle a ball of knots every time I need to use one. Keep it up, this is good stuff.

You're welcome!!
You are welcome to come over and fold mine. I don’t use mine often so they are in the original mesh bag.
Haha
5 gallon home depot bucket full of bungie chords and ratchet straps.... guilty
Wow! That really IS better!
Very nicely done!
Thanks!

Thank you sir!
Thank you! Lord they drive me crazy getting all tangled up!

Most excellent way
contractors ain't got time for that. throw then in the bed of the truck and forget till the next load

I love this.
I been trying to figure out how to neatly fold them all my life. I even tried retractible ones, which was a big flop.
Dude I am not doing all that. I just wind it up on my hand. Done!

It actually works. But over time the strap may stretch if in storage
Sweet … I like that …
Usually I just wad em up and throw em on the floor board 😂

No bro, you just buy the straps that come in a winding case. Put the straps in, turn the crank and they are perfect.
Great idea
And I thought I was OCD😊
wow, that is great, gotta do that today
I wish I got paid by the hour...must be nice 😂
Or just buy the retractable one before you buy and throw away 5 of these style ones like I did
Haha I thought I was the only one
I will totally do this, when I get time
I practiced it a few times and can do it in under a minute now!
Yeah I'll remember all that
While your at home you told them neatly. When your on the job you ball them up and throw them in the toolbox and figure it out later
Will have to try that one!
I thought the video was very helpful 😊
Glad it was! Have a wonderful weekend!
I just keep the ratchets separated from the straps and wrap the straps around an empty 3d printing filament spool.
I love this idea.
Works great! I don’t use them more than a couple times a week, but can do it in 1 min. Keeps my truck tidier:)
Very good thanx👍🏻

Can you tie a tie
I just wrap the straps and ratchets separately so I can simply just throw the strap over hook it somewhere and just walk around and tie it down.
"When you are paid by the hour"
When you get paid by the hour
Joe Biden Union Workers Official Video. Paid by the hour for sure.
I'm lazy so I bought the self retracting ones.
Great if you use it infrequently. Way too much hassle if you use it regularly.
Nice
They are reusable??
Tell me you never need straps without telling me.
Lectrical tape😊
Or a zip tie
Great if your retired and have nothing else going on in your day except a trip to the hardware
I just throw them each in individual Ziploc bags
Ain't nobody got time fo Dat.
I gotta get worked on and I aint got all day to fold a f****** ratchet strap
Don't have time to be neat and proper. (throw in bed truck, off we go)

We working 12 hours days we don’t have time for all that lol
Gets paid by the hour
Me hand wraps it and throw it in the milk crate
2.5 seconds
Wind it up, black tape it, done
Now, a guy can use this ☝️
Yea, only if you use your straps once a year.
If you have the time
You don’t have 10 seconds to wrap one strap? But you have 5 min to untangle one?
and now calculate the costs of that bullshit
10 seconds to wrap it neat vs 5 min to untangle when you need it. Little pride in your work and tools pays off
