Thanks for the support guys!!!! The skyblock series has gone well so far, check up on my progression here! - ua-cam.com/video/J1Z-zBdlfBI/v-deo.html&pp=gAQBiAQB Enjoy it :)
Thanks for the comment :)) I did NOT expect this reception! No one could have predicted lol. Do you have any advice concerning how much playing this game is too much? I've been getting comments about how investing too much time can turn out to be a time waster as later in the game the grind can get real. At the moment, I'm planning to go through the early and fun stages of this gamemode while I get to grips with it but I may stop when it starts getting difficult, but this video has already shown me a glimpse of how hard it can get! Thanks again!
@@TheGoldenDragonmc if your talking about playtime (/playtime but u need a certain playtime I don't remember how much but its around 50-90?) then I'd say 100-150 hours somewhere between. but if your talking about progression then I'd probably say around skill average 15-18 mainly because of foraging and fishing. Both of them take more than 1-3 months to complete. I'd also reccomend playing in 1.8.9 modded and I can send you the links (The REAL one) . I'd love to help you in the game :)
@@_Itzrainbow_ 50-90 hourse seems reasonable for a gamemode like this and I'm not looking to fully invest so I'll look out for the foraging and fishing phase (if I get that far xD) I kinda enjoy playing in 1.19 because it's what I'm used to and the mods I have and like work best at this current version. Seeing as I'm not going to dig too deep into skyblock, I'll probably stick with the latest version and may transition to 1.8.9 if I feel necessary! Thanks again for the advice! I may come back with some more questions if it comes to it! :)
@@TheGoldenDragonmc lol alr also don't do dungeons yet. I can tell you that. Get like skill average 18? unless ur dying to try it then I'd go for 15 skill average. also Combat level is the most important skill to grind for and you can also get it with /be aka beastiary but you will need to grind a bit till you can get the best rewards.
I gotta say it is so amazing finding somone who is discovering the skyblock for the first time after playing it for way too long. And pls make this a series. Got you a new sub
Haha I have the same feeling when someone discover's redstone, something I know a lot of! Thanks for the support :) This will definitely become a series with the warm reception I have got! I hope I make the best videos I can on skyblock!
It’s so cool seeing new players, you started at the worst or best time as derpy was mayor and so everything had double health. Play how you like in skyblock as it’s very approachable from any Direction and if you love mining for example you can just grind that out, it’s a catalyst for doing something you love so enjoy :)
@@TheGoldenDragonmc mayors gives boosts to certain things, there is a mayor that is voted for by real players every 5 irl days. Each has a theme and have a set of perks around the theme e.g. cole is the mining mayor and gives double mining drops. Mayors will sometimes have different numbers of perks out of 3 or so. There are also special mayors like derpy who doubles minion speeds gives 50% more skills disables auction house and gives mobs 2x health who are rarely candidates in the election but are always picked.
I feel bad that this has such a large view disparity compared to your other videos, essentially forcing you to play Skyblock, but I really hope you see it as a good thing! This game has so much to offer, and especially now that it's getting a lot of updates geared toward new players, I hope you'll enjoy it!
Yeah, I uploaded this video because I wanted to 'mix it up' from my usual redstone videos as I enjoyed playing it but it turned out it was what everyone was looking for! Now I do have some decisions to make, its not what I 'wanted' nor expected, so I'll need some time to think about the future of the channel, I didnt expect that Skyblock would be part of it but I guess it may be!
@@TheGoldenDragonmc you can do it as a side thing, i for example got recommended this video and thats how i found your channel, you have some great redstone videos, so doing both is also a possibility
There aren’t that many updates for new players only content update has been Arachne which is weak pre end armor and useless post end armor The game is basically the same it has been Easy early game (getting skills to 24 and starting cata) Impossibly grindy mid game (getting things like gs warden helm and hype or other sword with either wither armor or Kuudra armor) Very small stat gains end game (reaper peppers, daily dice rolls, grinding max skills and stats lvl)
@@TheGoldenDragonmc You can post skyblock videos from time to time and keep the redstone videos as the main one, obviously it won't grow as much as just skyblock but I think it's the ideal balance for your enjoyment and not getting frustrated with the direction of the channel later
Its actually funny how many things that are differnt, that after years of playing skyblock I just don't notice anymore, like the crafting table GUI. Also great video keep up the good work!
Thanks!!! I don't personally know if anything has changed but the new GUI definitely surprised me 😆 I hope skyblock will remain enjoyable for the time to come!!!
Seeing a new perspective on skyblock feels so refreshing I remember logging on for the first time 2 years ago and feeling just as astonished as you are. Truly a great memory
This gamemode can actually be really fun i would love to see a series from this A small tip i might have is to talk to most npcs and maybe collect some talismans and better armor and items also place minions on your island too
Yeah! The fact that you can take quests and different paths at your own pace makes it even better. I will take your tip and talk to more NPC's, in fact I still have a mission to talk to 6 more, but maybe reading what they say will get a bit boring, and perhaps long, so I'll try my best to summarise if I carry this series on! I'm yet to know what talismans are but I do know that minions should be put on your island. I still have a lot to explore, thanks for the feedback and comment! :)
@@TheGoldenDragonmc Sure take your time also one more thing you got to the part of talking to Rhys during your grind to mining level 12 you can also grind ores because you need 3 diffrent types of 10 enchanted ores (An Enchanted Ore is 160 of a normal one) Also reforges exist talk to the Blacksmith villager to get some also talk to Jamie the villager (if im not mistaken) and you get a free sword that will use Mana in some way (not spoiling) Also one of the newer updates made a levels system in the game check the levels tab to see what you can unlock also fairy souls give skyblock xp for the levels system and unlock backpack slots in the storage tab one last thing in the main town hall there is a npc called Elizabeth start all upgrades that she offers for free they will take a lot of time but be worth it in the long time sorry ive typed soo much but this gamemode is very big ill be on the look out then
@GrubyOut wow a LOT of useful info! After seeing the blacksmith reforge option I thought it'd be necessary to grind for the dwarven mines but I probably will see to that off camera. Thanks a lot for the info tho!! It will help tremendously as now I know a few things to be getting on with next episode... Skyblock has so much stuff so I don't blame you for thinking of everything I can do! I'll find it all out one way or another. Thanks for the advice again!
@@TheGoldenDragonmc What the npc's have to say can really kind of guide you through the game, but you definitely don't have to do those. And just try to get some of your skills up, like combat, foraging and mining as those help you out a bit.
This gave me a ton of nostalgia, I quit hypixel skyblock quit a long time ago. It makes me want to play it again. Its not a tip but still, u can use hypixel skyblock resource packs it gives the game new feeling but at the end of the day its up to u AND FOOD IS OF NO USE
this was AMAZING! to watch. i've never watched your channel befor but i'll deffinetly watch the skyblock series. i've been playing skyblock for Years and watching someone play it for the first time is really interesting! goodluck
As someone who's been playing daily for 2 years and is only in midgame, this game really has a ridiculous amount of fun content. You've only barely scratched the surface.
Mostly daily here too since day 1, though I've had periods when I've played less/barely logged on. I'm on the edge of mid and late, skyblock level 194 sa 45.1 but only 1.7b networth without having given anything big away
Seeing a new skyblock youtuber is pretty rare, its nice to see new people getting into the game. It's even better if it's a youtuber because they bring an entirely new audience. Keep it up!
A little bit of advice I have for you after over 1100 hours of playing is getting a efficiency 2 (yes 2) golden shovel and going to a area behind the barn and mining sand. The sand lets you get lots of mining so and 20k so won't take that long.
So awesome to see new players joining. Over these couple years I've forgotten what it was like in the early game. Would love to see you starting a series of this and sharing your thoughts while progressing trough the game! Earned a new sub ❤
i haven't played this game in a while, but your gameplay and commentary made it so engaging lmao it's kinda fun watching someone who hasn't played the game, you know.. play it lol.
i've played skyblock for years, and it is quiet refreshing seeing a new player to this game if you need any tips just ask most of the player base would answer your questions without hesitation 👍
Please make this a series you seem to enjoy it and i think the variety inside of the game makes for new content every episode regardless of the fact it is the dame game.
@@TheGoldenDragonmc the grind isn't so long in early game (ur stage of the game) early game is rly fun midgame starts to be rly grindy but still fun and then the late game u need to mine glass for 6 hours per day for money or do fishing for 5 hours or do flipping il give u some tips first for money i would reccomend for u in early game farming wheat and selling it to npc second u have custom enchantments in skyblock for armor example growth it will give u more hp and they are really good so i would reccomend getting them third u can use mana using the rogue sword (it's free) later in the game u could use it while playing mage with dreadlord sword , bonzo staff , frozen scythe , spirit sceptre fourth there is a mayor system in skyblock basicly there is a mayor election and they give custom perks for example more fishing skill xp tbh u started in the worst time because derpy is elected and he doubles the health of mobs he closes the auction house but u get 2x minion output and 50% more skill xp if u want some info on the game i will reccomend watching a guide from hellcastle , powliner
@@TheGoldenDragonmc Just a little tip... Breaking sand in the mushroom desert (1 jump pad after the barn) using an efficiency 2+ gold shovel gives a *LOT* of mining xp so grinding to level 12 is easy this way
Popped up on recommended and enjoyed it like it was my first time. Too bad the "level pt2" update comes early 2023 where you litterally get tasks to complete for greater rewards. It will also help you with what you need to accomplish to become better. You should def make this into a series :D
im like a early-mid game player and seeing u play the game and u starting is make me happy and a little nostalgia memory. its nice to see people discover skyblock and not hate it instantly!
I think it’s really funny that you started during Derpy, but that aside I do think you should continue. Pretty fun game with nearly unlimited things to do.
I discovered this channel because of this video. Honestly, you deserve the subs and views you got. Most people that do it for the first time are like “oh ya, I know how this works” and they don’t. But you admitted you didn’t understand, and you actually did a good job for a first timer. You gained a sub and my respect.
It is REALLY overwhelming too xD Thanks for the advice! I didnt realise this video would get the reception it did, I may have to turn to a tutorial soon if things go out of hand.... Thanks for commenting :)
Yo remember me when you become famous bc u will, keep up the work. Watched some of your videos and they are very high quality, capatalize of this video!
watching some1 ACTUALLY start from new without any prior knowledge of the game to this degree is actually pretty rare. i would totally watch a series about this. also if something seems wayyyyyyyy to grindy its might have a faster way of doing it than whatever you were doing at that moment (example being the mining exp from diamonds)
Yeah, mining exp from diamonds seemed grindy, not the worst, but having realised that mining sand with a golden shovel seeing as it wont break will be so much easier xD
@@TheGoldenDragonmc however grindy it may sometimes seem i strongly recommend you give the game a chance. also without trying to spoil too much. theres a golden dragon pet in the game, but you might not see it until little later on ;)
As someone who has been playing for 3 years I have to say that I was crying inside looking at the progression but I guess its normal we've all started the same way good luck on your grind if you decide to keep playing
I went into hpsb almost fully blind, When I logged on I didn’t think it would be that good but as soon as I got to the spiders den, the dwarven mines and the nether I realised that this wasn’t just a mini game. It’s a masterpiece.
Nice, I hope this continues as a series, I have some advices for your progression if u do continue playing 1. I highly recommend working at your minions as it can level up your collections. I recommend redstone minions as they can make you unlock the accessory bag and increase your stats in the game. After that you'd want to get talismans for your accessory bag (Easy ones to get are: Farming talisman, poison talisman and the adventurer merchant near the lumberer, he will sell you a bunch of talismans with a cost) Then visit the accessory bag dude near the collesum and pick the reforge of your choice. If you want to increase your minions slots, you can craft the easiest minions all the way up to the base resource cost 2. You would want to unlock the bazaar at skyblock level 7 (you can check the ways to level up at your profile in the skyblock menu). He can be very useful for buying and selling all the materials in the game 3. Level up your enchanting skill, enchants can be really important for increasing your weapons, gears and tools stats by a significant ammount Those are some of my advices but you also choose the way that you enjoy the most in the game, That's what all skyblock is about. Good luck 🤞
Wow so much advice! I'll bear them in mind of course but I dont want to fully invest into a Skyblock series (though I'll try my best to get the best bits for one) because apparently it can get quite grindy! But I will comment on what you've said, I'm working on trying to find a logical pattern in completing skyblock quests so after that I'm guessing I'll pick up minions and accessories on the way. I had no idea I could check my skyblock level so thank you! Enchanting I havent got to yet but I will make sure I look at. I will enjoy as much as I can! And try to document the fun bits! Thanks again for the comment :)
@@TheGoldenDragonmc i have 580 hours and am still considered early-game (220m networth, dragon armor and aspect of the dragons with 700 senither weight) so if you want to do a full serie then you better get ready to grind for 10 days to get + 5 crit damage
@@leschatssuperstars1741 it IS grindy but if you would have been more effecient you could have a bunch more by now. I am currently at 144 hours and am in (3/4 Necron; Livid Dagger; Lvl 100 bby yeti; REV lvl 7; 258m networth (according to skycrypt) and 841 Senither weight) everybody can play the game like they want to and there is NO WRONG WAY of playing skyblock but if your goal is to progress. just know that its possible to do that faster :D
I love watching new players find this game. It’s by far my favorite and I don’t even consider it Minecraft but it’s own game by now. I would love to see a series out of this. It is very grindy but it’s super fun too!
@@TheGoldenDragonmc both custom weapons costing hundreds of millions of coins, even billions. The Hyperion is a sword that has a really good mage ability and the terminator is a bow that does a lot of damage
Hyperion is sword which tp u 10 blocks do explodion give u health and dmg reductions but cost like 1.5B coins terminator is "shortbow" and its shoots 3 arrows instantly and do milions of dmg also cost like 600m 😊 ik funny and balanced weapons
@@TheGoldenDragonmc I'm not gonna spoil a lot, but you'll spend a lot of time breaking glass & killing herobrines/skeletons/zombies. And ofc endermen that make fun of you for not having a cookie.
i really hope you turn this into a series, im so glad i found this as i can hardly remember my first time playing skyblock so this will be incredibly fun to watch!!
although you DID hit the hammer on the nail with the game in the sense that it IS grindy (i have 2k hours on it lol...), its less grindy than you think. a lot of the game will hit you will massive walls of progression that SEEM like it would take you hours and hours to get the "legit" way. but in reality you need to look for creative solutions. like for instance in the case of getting to the dwarven mines you COULD mine 1000s of diamonds OR you could use a efficiency 2 golden shovel and mine sand in the desert for 10 minutes and be done. skyblock is all about grinding AND finding creative solutions to problems.
Scrubbing through the comments now for the next video! Its a bit more chill this time so I can see the comments I havent read yet! You have a very good point, one that I hooe will come more in the future but finding the creative solutions is the key to avoid the hard grind. And some times, grinding is beneficial in more than one way!
This is a great video! I really hope you decide to make this a series. P.s the easiest way to get that much mining exp is mining sand in the mushroom desert!
There is a bank by spawn to keep your coins safe, fast way to level up mining is mining sand at the mushroom desert, I would love to see a series on this as well
I am glad someone actually tries to figure out the game. Most of the players resort to begging for items, hacking, duping, p2w or other things. Good job sir!
refreshing to see somebody that has never played the game before, has no knowledge about the game, and actually does the ingame quests explore the true beginner experience of skyblock. good vid!
Damn bro, this is top notch quality. Its quite refreshing seeing someone new in the community. A way most youtubers like to progress is by taking contraband. Most people will donate money or items to you While u are streaming to see ur reaction abd have fun. So if u would like to progress faster. Make sure to stream here and there.
if you mine sand in the mushroom desert off of the barn farming area with an efficiency 3 gold shovel you can get the 22k mining exp in just a few minutes
It's always great to see someone start playing the game. By the way, Skyblock (and the Hypixel server in general) is optimized for 1.8.9, I recommend playing it in that version
i just saw someone play skyblock genuinely for the first time with no knowledge at all… I just felt an emotion that I haven’t felt since 2019, thank you so much (also go ahead try any editing style, I do reccomend listening to the skyblock music as it’s tasty)
Great video! I really enjoyed it. I just started playing Skyblock myself about a month ago. I'm personally playing the Ironman gamemode which disables trading, the bazaar, and the auction house.
Crazy to see someone play skyblock for the first time after playing it for hundreds of ours myself. Definetly want this to be a series, you got yourself a sub!
after playing for almost 4000 hours seeing someone trying this game for the first time is so cool and refreshing! i'd love to see a series on it and you already made a great start :D
It's always nice to see new players getting into skyblock for the first time! After playing the game for thousands of hours, its safe to say that it is a MOSTLY enjoyable game. Early game is super fun to explore for the first time and see the amazing mechanics skyblock has to offer that no other Minecraft mmorpg has to offer. There is tons to explore, updates are a bit sparse but for a new player there is so much to learn about and play. For late game however, you hit the wall where a lot of the gear needed is either a few hundred mil, or a few bil. Also for skills, you can either spend hundreds of hours grinding, only to be surpassed by someone cheating (which there are a lot of). On the topic of cheating, there are also scammers of all variants, irl traders, ratters, and much more to watch out for. While other games also have these kinds of toxic players, skyblock has a decent amount, but that hopefully wont affect game play. Overall it's a fun game to get into, if you decide to kep playing it, it will be a good while before it gets boring/grindy since as mentioned there is so much to do.
This is very enlightening! Thanks for the comment! I can already see how grindy it may get and I am willing to stop my adventure if it asks too much of me and strains me to the point where it is no longer enjoyable or fun. When that inevitably happens I have to turn my channel around to my original sort of content which may prove difficult... But I'll have fun in the meantime!
You should claim free stuff from the advent calendar in the bottom left of the skyblock menu it will help you out a lot (but also kind of skip progression because it's a lot of coins worth so up to you!)
It’s been ages since I saw a new skyblock youtuber and I realised both how different the game is to when I started in 2019 and how similar it FEELS to start off. Personally I’d watch HellCastle & Tylerrrr’s recent guide as it’s super informative and gives a good grasp on how the game works. The video was super well made too so good job!
after playing this since it launched, i am happy to find someone who just started. PLEASE make this a series! (i have put too much time into this block game's server)
great video man, its so refreshing to finally see a new person without any knowledge of the gamemode. i dont know if it was just me but it looked like you were playing on the latest version of minecraft, i would recommend you play it on 1.8.9 as that is the version it is built in. also if you are planning to turn this into a series (please do), you might also want to download some mods to make the game significantly easier. anyways good luck on your skyblock journey and it will be entertaining to see you go into things like dungeons and other aspects of the game.
I think I'll stick with the latest version for the time being as most of my mods that I use atm make the game much easier for me but if I can get some skyblock enhancing mods for the recent version I'll be all for it! Thanks for the support :)
@@TheGoldenDragonmc after some quick searching, i found this mod called "Skyblockers". It is for the latest version fabric and has some good features like a minimap for dungeons and other things, which is pretty good since it is built on the latest version. i haven't tested it yet to see if it is any good but maybe you could try it. Also, use mods like these at your own risk, don't download anything suspicious. Good luck on your journey and remember, have fun!
@Zhang_W Thanks!! You've probably saved me a tonnes of time! I'll see if it is viable for me and I'll see if i can find ant others. Thought here won't be any disadvantages if I don't have any mods. Thanks again!
@@TheGoldenDragonmc all good man, I’m glad I could help you to enhance skyblock a bit with these mods. Have fun with your skyblock journey and I hope that you can turn this into a series. Good luck!
Some tips: As you found out, this game is very grindy. I've been playing the game for almost a year and still have so much more to accomplish. Be ready to be on grinds that will take days 1. Armor. The armor that you are wearing is miners armor. Most armors have full set bonuses. This means when wearing every piece, you gain a bonus. Miners armor gains defense while in the deep caverns but isn't really good anywhere else. For outside of there, I would try to get lapis armor. Lapis armor is a drop from killing lapis zombies. You can also buy it from players at the auction house. (It is currently closed due to a special mayor that comes every few months). I would try to enchant your armor especially with the enchant protection which gives defence, and growth which gives health. The Rosetta armors are good but I would stick with lapis armor which is easier to get. 2. Weapons. For weapons undead swords are usually the go-to weapon for early game players. Most things are zombies/undead creatures in the early game. Enchant your weapons with smite, critical, and first strike. Those are your main damage enchants in early game. Sharpness isn't really used as most mobs are in the undead category. 3. Reforges. For reforges, armor I would aim for fierce. It gives good stats and the best reforge for armor you can get from him. If you want to survive more, get titanic reforges on the armor. For weapons reforges I would go for sharp or spicy. Sharp would be better early game because of the amount of crit chance it gives. 4. Talisman. Within the redstone collection, you can unlock accessory bags. You can store these items called talismans that give a variety of different stats. There are a few easy talismans you can get from the adventurer. It is located to the left of the spawn near the lumberjack npc shop and the bazaar. Choosing other stats for your talisman are located on about the right of spawn (I forget the npc name). 5. Misc tips. There is a way to store coins so you won't lose all of them on death. On the left of spawn there is a pot shaped building with gold on the roof. If you enter there is an NPC named the banker. You can store your coins with him and he can give you a daily interest too. If you go directly forward from spawn there is a building called the community center. In there, the npc named Elizabeth can upgrade your storage, daily coins, minion slots, magic find, and so much more. If there is anything I missed I bet people in the comments will tell you. Hope you find any of this helpful
Thank you!!! The last three points I did already know but you've given me further instructions on how to achieve them so its always handy! The first point is interesting that lapis zombies drop lapis armour so I will investigate further. I will look into enchanting as it seems a much better way to progress in the game faster!
My tip, if I might dare to add to the pools of knowledge of others, is to try to do as much as you can your own way without googling or taking advantage of the comments, as it’s really refreshing to see confusion or “suboptimal” ways of doing things in the early game instead of speeding past everything like most players. Excited for more!
You just happened to be in my recommended and I'm a fan of this type of video! (To be fair, I haven't even heard of your channel, let alone watch your videos prior to this). If you uploaded a series of this I would love to watch! :)
bro its so nice to see a new person discovering the game, and it MUST became a new series, what i reccomend for you is to watch the hellcastle's skyblock begginer guide video and you will know what you need to do, good luck in your new journey in this game my man! : D
As a skyblock tryhard with 3000 hours of playtime on my main account, this was an enormous nostalgia trip for me, and I love it. Thank you. And as you’ve probably figured out already, this game is crazy, and can easily become overwhelming if you’re just starting out: if there are just 2 things I think you should know if you decide you want to continue with skyblock, they are the following: - while there are lots of ‘earlygame guides’ that claim they’re the ‘only progression tutorial you’ll ever need’, the sad reality is that they’re actually showing a very hyper-optimised way an already-experienced player might rush through the initial stages of the game without doing all of the side-quests and experiences that would actually explain WHAT THE FRICK IS GOING ON. I know that may sound foreboding, but because of how long the majority of the skyblock community has been playing, we often take for granted various mechanics that are actually completely absurd. I recommend either trying to find someone you already know who plays skyblock, or watching actual let’s play’s if you’ve got the time. It will take longer, but it will provide an actual understanding of the game and will be much more adaptive to changes in the meta - Secondly, and I mean this nicely: you will not finish this game. Because nobody will. It’s such a huge game that it is effectively impossible to finish - it would take decades of optimal gameplay. And that’s not even a comical exaggeration. People have done the maths. So it’s ok if you can’t complete everything I wish you the best, whatever you decide you want to do.
That’s just worm bestiary specifically - you’ve still got t3 daggers, enrager, chilly pepper collection, dyes, fame rank, attributes, wisp, various misc rngs, rep, infernal sets 15 *ed, literally every other bestiary, the Anita shop, all the t7’s u can apply (and that’s assuming you’re not ironman), class average, boss collections, powder, pulse ring, Odgar tooth, 1b gold collection, sb level 500, 1b crest counter, And of course, maxing everything by definition includes maxing every collection and item - that’s all mathematical hoes with 1b counter (assuming is doesn’t go up past 2.1b), g7p7 every armor, max bank with max possible balance, chim 5 every weapon, every pet level 100 (or 200) legendary (or mythic) with every pet item, that bugged bonus hp Timedeo got that one time, all those collector’s items/admin items, 2.1b in everything because apparently everyone in this game is obsessed with bit-integer limit, midas sword and staff (2.1b, naturally)
Wow this is a lot of advice! This game is already crazy and, yes, I am WELL aware that this will take me infinity to complete and I am not planningt to complete it, rather, I want to enjoy it as much as I can before it starts stepping into the arduous and difficult territory that drags my experience down. I will see if I can find my way around skyblock a bit more next episode but apparently a new update will be coming in january which will help starters a lot so I'll keep my eye out for that too!
Love the vid! I think the main reason for that is the fact that you're basically in a new world, exploring everything for the first time, and getting new tips and tricks. I would definitely encourage you to make this into a series! And as a player who's played this for quite some time, it really do feel nostalgic to watch someone goes through their first few days exploring and getting to know everything. Keep it up! :D
Definitely looking forward to some more episodes of this series! As a long time skyblock player but a recent GoldenDragon subscriber, I can safely tell you that there’s much more to the game than what you played! 😂
You are the first ever UA-camr that does Hypixel Skyblock from 0 blind, most others only started making videos about them after they played it for a while and I'm so excited to see you progress more. Even though Skyblock is complicated and you will definitely need helps and tips from other players but discovering them yourself is way more exciting. You gained a sub!
Yooo, love this, every other skyblock UA-camr knows exactly what to do, what's the best method etc. Your gameplay reminds me of me when I started playing. Keep it up! I would love to see your progress without outside help, ofc there will be things that you will need some outside help or you'll need to use the wiki (i think you def should sometimes, /wikithis is a cool command for getting all the info about the held item)
Thanks for the support guys!!!!

@@_Itzrainbow_ 50-90 hourse seems reasonable for a gamemode like this and I'm not looking to fully invest so I'll look out for the foraging and fishing phase (if I get that far xD)
I kinda enjoy playing in 1.19 because it's what I'm used to and the mods I have and like work best at this current version.
I very agree to this. Back in the days when Technoblade or Dantdm just joined skyblock. It was incredible. This gives me flashbacks.
wait till he finds out about the golden dragon pet :)
hes prob gonna get over 1k subs with this video lol.
Definition of Skyblock: spend thousands of hours grinding
It’s so cool seeing new players, you started at the worst or best time as derpy was mayor and so everything had double health. Play how you like in skyblock as it’s very approachable from any Direction and if you love mining for example you can just grind that out, it’s a catalyst for doing something you love so enjoy :)
Thank you!!! I will try to enjoy my best! Whatever the mayor thing is I'll have to find out myself lol
@@TheGoldenDragonmc common rookie mistake: trusting people in large hubs
approachable 💀 i had to watch like 30 tutorials to do anything
@@g4lde697 well I know what you mean but just go with the flow and you’ll learn
There aren’t that many updates for new players only content update has been Arachne which is weak pre end armor and useless post end armor
The game is basically the same it has been
Easy early game (getting skills to 24 and starting cata)
Impossibly grindy mid game (getting things like gs warden helm and hype or other sword with either wither armor or Kuudra armor)
Very small stat gains end game (reaper peppers, daily dice rolls, grinding max skills and stats lvl)
@@TheGoldenDragonmc thumbnail + title were insane congrats
Wow I am the second comment on a yrrah comment
Seeing a new perspective on skyblock feels so refreshing I remember logging on for the first time 2 years ago and feeling just as astonished as you are. Truly a great memory
i remember spending 3 hours just trying to get combat 12. little did know that power mining takes 50 hours if lucky.
@@ispeedyy9995 if you do it right combat 12 takes 45 minutes
Him randomly joining while derpy is mayor might be the luckiest and unluckiest thing ever
This gamemode can actually be really fun i would love to see a series from this
A small tip i might have is to talk to most npcs and maybe collect some talismans and better armor and items
also place minions on your island too
@@TheGoldenDragonmc Sure take your time also one more thing you got to the part of talking to Rhys during your grind to mining level 12 you can also grind ores because you need 3 diffrent types of 10 enchanted ores (An Enchanted Ore is 160 of a normal one)
Also reforges exist talk to the Blacksmith villager to get some also talk to Jamie the villager (if im not mistaken) and you get a free sword that will use Mana in some way (not spoiling)
Also one of the newer updates made a levels system in the game check the levels tab to see what you can unlock
also fairy souls give skyblock xp for the levels system and unlock backpack slots in the storage tab
one last thing in the main town hall there is a npc called Elizabeth start all upgrades that she offers for free they will take a lot of time but be worth it in the long time
sorry ive typed soo much but this gamemode is very big ill be on the look out then
@GrubyOut wow a LOT of useful info!

Thank you for watching!! I dont want to get too into it as even at this point it seems a lot to grind! :)
As a person who played this game for a pretty long time, it's amazing to see someone just go through that feeling of discovering everything again
This also gets a tiny bit of starting money, afterwards end nodes are a good money maker
frozen treasure is the best early game money making method now but it is gonna be temporary (to open the island) after a few days
And speed or god pots
I'm well aware of this now Atticus but thanks anyways!!!
This'll get you some contraband!
(Coins given to youtubers because they are youtubers) great vid!
So awesome to see new players joining. Over these couple years I've forgotten what it was like in the early game. Would love to see you starting a series of this and sharing your thoughts while progressing trough the game! Earned a new sub ❤
i haven't played this game in a while, but your gameplay and commentary made it so engaging lmao
it's kinda fun watching someone who hasn't played the game, you know.. play it lol.
Amazing video. Seeing someone start out after experiencing it so many times is amazing
My tip would be to watch hellcastles early game guide
i've played skyblock for years, and it is quiet refreshing seeing a new player to this game
if you need any tips just ask most of the player base would answer your questions without hesitation 👍
Thanks!!1 Must be so nostalgic! I have a lot to learn so the questions will come xD
Please make this a series you seem to enjoy it and i think the variety inside of the game makes for new content every episode regardless of the fact it is the dame game.
Well, there is also the grind!!!
@@TheGoldenDragonmc the grind isn't so long in early game (ur stage of the game) early game is rly fun midgame starts to be rly grindy but still fun and then the late game u need to mine glass for 6 hours per day for money or do fishing for 5 hours or do flipping il give u some tips
first for money i would reccomend for u in early game farming wheat and selling it to npc
second u have custom enchantments in skyblock for armor example growth it will give u more hp and they are really good so i would reccomend getting them
third u can use mana using the rogue sword (it's free) later in the game u could use it while playing mage with dreadlord sword , bonzo staff , frozen scythe , spirit sceptre
fourth there is a mayor system in skyblock basicly there is a mayor election and they give custom perks for example more fishing skill xp tbh u started in the worst time because derpy is elected and he doubles the health of mobs he closes the auction house but u get 2x minion output and 50% more skill xp
if u want some info on the game i will reccomend watching a guide from hellcastle , powliner
1000h later🤣
@@TheGoldenDragonmc Just a little tip... Breaking sand in the mushroom desert (1 jump pad after the barn) using an efficiency 2+ gold shovel gives a *LOT* of mining xp so grinding to level 12 is easy this way

Wow what an amazing video u gained a new subscriber i hope u are going to turn this into a series!
Popped up on recommended and enjoyed it like it was my first time. Too bad the "level pt2" update comes early 2023 where you litterally get tasks to complete for greater rewards. It will also help you with what you need to accomplish to become better. You should def make this into a series :D

But you admitted you didn’t understand, and you actually did a good job for a first timer. You gained a sub and my respect.
Yeah skyblock is quite confusing at the start. I suggest watching an early-game tutorial, if you get stuck. Really enjoy your playstyle though!

watching some1 ACTUALLY start from new without any prior knowledge of the game to this degree is actually pretty rare. i would totally watch a series about this. also if something seems wayyyyyyyy to grindy its might have a faster way of doing it than whatever you were doing at that moment (example being the mining exp from diamonds)
It reminds me of the og skyblock like 4 weeks into existence
Yeah, mining exp from diamonds seemed grindy, not the worst, but having realised that mining sand with a golden shovel seeing as it wont break will be so much easier xD

As someone who has been playing for 3 years I have to say that I was crying inside looking at the progression but I guess its normal we've all started the same way good luck on your grind if you decide to keep playing
Thank you!!!
I went into hpsb almost fully blind, When I logged on I didn’t think it would be that good but as soon as I got to the spiders den, the dwarven mines and the nether I realised that this wasn’t just a mini game. It’s a masterpiece.
Nice, I hope this continues as a series, I have some advices for your progression if u do continue playing
If you want to increase your minions slots, you can craft the easiest minions all the way up to the base resource cost
2. You would want to unlock the bazaar at skyblock level 7 (you can check the ways to level up at your profile in the skyblock menu). He can be very useful for buying and selling all the materials in the game
3. Level up your enchanting skill, enchants can be really important for increasing your weapons, gears and tools stats by a significant ammount
Those are some of my advices but you also choose the way that you enjoy the most in the game, That's what all skyblock is about.
Thanks again for the comment :)

although you DID hit the hammer on the nail with the game in the sense that it IS grindy (i have 2k hours on it lol...), its less grindy than you think. a lot of the game will hit you will massive walls of progression that SEEM like it would take you hours and hours to get the "legit" way. but in reality you need to look for creative solutions. like for instance in the case of getting to the dwarven mines you COULD mine 1000s of diamonds OR you could use a efficiency 2 golden shovel and mine sand in the desert for 10 minutes and be done. skyblock is all about grinding AND finding creative solutions to problems.
Scrubbing through the comments now for the next video! Its a bit more chill this time so I can see the comments I havent read yet! You have a very good point, one that I hooe will come more in the future but finding the creative solutions is the key to avoid the hard grind. And some times, grinding is beneficial in more than one way!

It's great seeing new players exploring the game.
finally, a skyblock youtube i can relate, ive been playing the game for 2 years and made the progress that people do in a couple of weeks
You should claim free stuff from the advent calendar in the bottom left of the skyblock menu it will help you out a lot (but also kind of skip progression because it's a lot of coins worth so up to you!)
as a person who played this game from the beginning its nice to see the perspective of starting these days
The video was super well made too so good job!

great video man, its so refreshing to finally see a new person without any knowledge of the gamemode. i dont know if it was just me but it looked like you were playing on the latest version of minecraft, i would recommend you play it on 1.8.9 as that is the version it is built in. also if you are planning to turn this into a series (please do), you might also want to download some mods to make the game significantly easier. anyways good luck on your skyblock journey and it will be entertaining to see you go into things like dungeons and other aspects of the game.
I think I'll stick with the latest version for the time being as most of my mods that I use atm make the game much easier for me but if I can get some skyblock enhancing mods for the recent version I'll be all for it! Thanks for the support :)

Some tips:
As you found out, this game is very grindy. I've been playing the game for almost a year and still have so much more to accomplish. Be ready to be on grinds that will take days

Thank you.
And as you’ve probably figured out already, this game is crazy, and can easily become overwhelming if you’re just starting out: if there are just 2 things I think you should know if you decide you want to continue with skyblock, they are the following:
- while there are lots of ‘earlygame guides’ that claim they’re the ‘only progression tutorial you’ll ever need’, the sad reality is that they’re actually showing a very hyper-optimised way an already-experienced player might rush through the initial stages of the game without doing all of the side-quests and experiences that would actually explain WHAT THE FRICK IS GOING ON. I know that may sound foreboding, but because of how long the majority of the skyblock community has been playing, we often take for granted various mechanics that are actually completely absurd. I recommend either trying to find someone you already know who plays skyblock, or watching actual let’s play’s if you’ve got the time. It will take longer, but it will provide an actual understanding of the game and will be much more adaptive to changes in the meta
- Secondly, and I mean this nicely: you will not finish this game. Because nobody will. It’s such a huge game that it is effectively impossible to finish - it would take decades of optimal gameplay. And that’s not even a comical exaggeration. People have done the maths. So it’s ok if you can’t complete everything
I wish you the best, whatever you decide you want to do.
dunno what you mean if you move to NA bestiary only takes 16 years
That’s just worm bestiary specifically - you’ve still got t3 daggers, enrager, chilly pepper collection, dyes, fame rank, attributes, wisp, various misc rngs, rep, infernal sets 15 *ed, literally every other bestiary, the Anita shop, all the t7’s u can apply (and that’s assuming you’re not ironman), class average, boss collections, powder, pulse ring, Odgar tooth, 1b gold collection, sb level 500, 1b crest counter,
And of course, maxing everything by definition includes maxing every collection and item - that’s all mathematical hoes with 1b counter (assuming is doesn’t go up past 2.1b), g7p7 every armor, max bank with max possible balance, chim 5 every weapon, every pet level 100 (or 200) legendary (or mythic) with every pet item, that bugged bonus hp Timedeo got that one time, all those collector’s items/admin items, 2.1b in everything because apparently everyone in this game is obsessed with bit-integer limit, midas sword and staff (2.1b, naturally)
Love it 😍, also would love to see daily or at least weekly uploads and streams!
Keep it up! :D
Thank you :) I won't be new at this game for long haha but let's hope I can continue the new experience as there Will always be lots to explore!
this was really fun to watch, would love to see a series on this
Skyblock is an amazing game and you seem like a amazing creator. It’s really cute seeing someone playing it for the first time
Definitely looking forward to some more episodes of this series! As a long time skyblock player but a recent GoldenDragon subscriber, I can safely tell you that there’s much more to the game than what you played! 😂
I have played for years and I am not even close to done this would get you good views and boost your popularity please make more.
Congratulations! You are now stuck here 2-5 years! Hope you enjoy your stay
Yes! A new UA-camr to watch that isn't maxed out :) I am nearly out of early game with like 300 hours it's so fun
Very entertaining video, it's fun seeing someone discovering and exploring skyblock for the first time, please make this into a series
Super keen to watch you continue this series. Keep up the good work!
As a former mid-late game player (before I quit) I find it so refreshing watching someone just have fun and enjoy the game for what it is
