One of THE BEST thrash bands ever. So vastly underrated. They could play with anyone. Tony Portaro is as good as any thrash guitarist. He's so damn good. The one as good as him,in my opinion,is Pat from Hellwitch. These guys should have been bigger. I saw them in Dec 87 and they blew everyone away.
Whiplash, Slayer, and Venom were my 3 favorite bands in the 80s. Had the pleasure of seeing Whiplash live at a small Detroit club for the Power and Pain album. Such a great band. I didn't like when they got a new vocalist, and I pretty much went down the death metal path in the 90s, but these guys were the fucking GOATS at the time and I still think they should be in the big 4 instead of Anthrax.
This is how it's done, new bands. Stop trying to sound evil,or with those fake, bullshit vocals. These guys were fast and heavy but still had memorable songs. Absolutely killer.
It was not easy to find this in a sea of Metallica - whiplash videos, ha ha.
Seriously
Real thrashers find him inmediatly :)
Jesus, this guy's voice has remained the same since 1986. Impressive.

Good on him for trying the classic vocals again.

No Tony Bono Passed almost 20 years now
as long as there is no second guitar you can spare the solos out, the rest is awesome tho 😅🤘
Flashback tot the eighties haha. But what a terrible location is this to play.

Poor drummer is working his ass off.
He is a bad-ass though.
He loosed the lyrics... But who cares? Good thrash!
