Hey there - love the video. What is the part number for the fill adapter that threads directly into the oil pan? I don't think the one for my R32 is going to fit.
I have the DQ500 in my car and I load the oil through the oil filter, without any problem, with a rubber tube and a funnel it works perfectly. 5.5 liters and you will see that it stays just the right size.....
Awesome video guys! Thanks a lot for this… I have a dum question for u boys… how do you guys put this car on jack stands? Like I only see lifting points under my RS3 that I use to lift my car…
I always jack one side at a time from the front jack point under the mirror. This will lift that whole side of the car (front and rear). Slide a jack stand under the rear jack point and the other in front under the subframe near the lower control arm. Then repeat on the other side. You can then jack from where the dogbone connects to the front subframe to get the front up again and move the stands to the jack points. If that doesn't make any sense I think I walked through it in the oil change video 🤘
Hello, you said you applied vacuum on the breather ( the little bobble thing that clips to the bumper? ) or you applied vacuum to the filter housing so it could drain lol? sorry i might have misunderstood that. im guessing you can open the cap on it and push air in?
@@HardwayLearning Okay awesome, Thanks! i just got to say i really appreciate you guys. i hate going to the dealer and picked up a second/hand RS3 (granted it only had 7k miles to its new) but you guys have helped me out a ton with the videos be it maintenance or mods! I'm glad i found the channel.
Can we top off DSG fluid through the top of the car if we needed to? I been having a bit of DSG fluid splash around so I wanted to top it off a tiny bit but wasn’t sure if possible through the top of car?
You can fill from the top. Need a tube that will fit inside the small hole in the filter housing on the trans but it's totally doable that way. I've done several DSG services front the top.
We are very cautious after blowing up the first engine, but the new engine has slowly started to convince me it is stout after the abuse we've put it through this summer 🤞
Great guide. Hand pump did the job it just took a minute.
Build up that forearm strength 💪
U can fill from the top through the oil filter housing. Its alot easier that way.
According to the procedure that's not the right way, I don't think it drains from up there. Have you tried that?
@@HardwayLearning i have done it on 2 vw dsg dq250s and the setup is pretty much the same i have yet to change the dsg fluid on my rs3 but.
@@HardwayLearning I tried it and it works perfectly
Hello, the mechatronics will be filled by the oil in the gearbox or you fill that separately with different oil ?
Mechanics shares the oil with the transmission

I used "CTA Manufacturing 7416" from FCP euro. It worked on my MK7 GTI and they list R32 as compatible.

Need to do this soon. Looks like about how it will go for me. Lol.
Lmao, definitely not on our a-game for this one 🤦♂️

I jack the front from the torque mount area. Use rubber pad for caution.
🥇good Movie
Thanks! 🍿
Can you make a video on Haldex oil service?
We have one, search the Golf Sportwagen. Should be same procedure!

I ended up sucking it out of the filter housing,I never got it to drain out of the top.

Glad we could help you out! Good luck on your RS3 journey
May i know what dsg oil you used from dq500.

Not that I'm aware of, the only way to fill is pumping from the bottom unfortunately

what temp the fluid should be while drain and fill?
Between 35-45C when filling. Not sure about draining, probably the same?
Should be cold, under 30 atleast
Great. Do we need to drain the front diff as it has same trans oil chamber?
I believe they are combined based on the limited information I found googling 🤷♂️
The Transfer oil and the DSG box are independent oils and each one is loaded from a different place, they are also different oils.
Nice 👍 video guys!only it’s not clearly show how you top 🔝 up and also if possible fill up from filter?
I don't know that you can fill from the filter or top it up with how it's designed, but I could be wrong.
the fart got me lmao
Lol, when does that happen?
