      right, and why not just say I helped her run away. She wants to be alone. Or she asked me to not take her to the airport and idk what happened, but he just refused to say anything which looks so much more shadier than just saying the truth that she ran away UNLESS HES GUILTY and the truth was that he killed her :/ I just really hope it's solved soon. A diploma is basically unusable if you don’t have any other form of ID. You have to prove you are the person who earned the diploma and since she left her wallet and ID she wouldn’t have been able to do that, rendering her diploma a useless piece of paper. @@amaraberger7113 the problem it's that if police have that ability, criminals wil get their hands on the information to do it too and it will compromise the information of all kinds of people. It's just not very plausible. Phone companies can provide certain information from an account if police subpoena the records but that can only go so far. Different companies log different amounts of information.

    Emotional abuse and verbal comes before physical abuse. Add homophobia to that and James is the clear suspect. My theory is that she told him about the 3 way which triggered some male entitlement in him and led to him trying to sexually assault her. He either succeeded and then decided to kill her or it went "wrong". He disposed of her and sent the texts. We've seen this story play out so many times, and I trust her family's instincts. The mum must feel terrible asking James to drive her to the airport. You never know what someone is capable of.

It's not normal unless she had something going on in her private life that made her want to be away from the situation. But that wouldnt help to speculate on. I hope one day there is some resolution in this case for the family.

    This girl met with foul play, period. She is not going to run away and just never have any contact with her family ever again because she cheated on her girlfriend! Especially when she was away from her family, she kept in contact with them a few times a day via phone and she has a new nephew. James has everything to do with her disappearance! How does he explain that he told her mom he dropped her off at the airport when he (according to him) actually dropped her off at the mall, but then there is no sign of her ever being at the mall. Also, I don't think someone is going to chuck a big suitcase out of a car window while it's moving, when they could be easily seen doing so by people in other cars. But he COULD have stopped on the side of the road, got out, walked to the other side of the car, get the suitcase out, the suitcase is then hidden from passersby by the car. Then he waited for the coast to be clear, and then chucked it and got back in his car. And then he doesn't show up for work EVER AGAIN from that day forward?? Come on, this guy did something with her!!

      He didn’t actually tell her mum that he dropped her off at the airport, he did tell her he dropped her at the mall. What’s strange is that 8 minutes later Katelin texted her mother saying she was at the airport- if James was texting off her phone why he use two different stories?? I’m not saying he’s innocent, just something to consider

    • @mindyk4
      @mindyk4 5 років тому +57

      @@lauraedwards7389 No, at 7:24, she said James texted Lisa and said he "dropped her OFF, no worries". He was supposed to be dropping her off at the airport and he told her he dropped her off. He didn't say anything about dropping her off at the mall at this time.Then 8 minutes later, she got a text from "Katelin", which we know wasn't her, saying, she's at the airport. James at this time is playing like he dropped her off at the airport and that Katelin is at the airport. Then Amber gets a text saying she missed her flight. How could she miss her flight when she was supposedly at the airport well before (hours before) her flight even takes off? Lisa gets worried and feels like something is wrong so she calls James and THEN THAT'S WHEN he changes his story and tells her, "Well ACTUALLY, I dropped her off at the mall." and that Katelin asked him to drop her there and she would catch the metro to the airport. He was FIRST playing like he dropped her off at the airport with his text to Lisa and "Katelin's" text to Lisa.

      Emma Weaver I think you are right. All kinds of people are speculating James sexually assaulted her and killed her but it seems far fetched he doesn't seem like a loner type of dude who would do something like this. Not too mention it seems like James was probably only Male she trusted hence why he was giving her rides. I think if James had wanted to do something to her he would have done it years before. Being a man he probably just threw the most obvious place a teen would hang out in the mix to cover up something. • @Person01234
      @Person01234 2 роки тому +4

      Worth remembering people usually remember and describe the dead with rose tinted glasses. I'm not saying they weren't decent people, but I do doubt that every murder victim ever was this relentlessly kind and wonderful person who was always great to be around that they seem to be described as. I imagine most murder victims are just generally your average kind of people, perhaps with people who are suspicious or self-serving being slightly more survivable than those who are trusting. It's just that most people when describing a loved one who just died/went missing aren't going to nitpick about all those times they annoyed them or didn't do something for them.

    I scrolled for quite a while without seeing this information - so wanted to post it. I have watched/listened to so many things about this case. The "second property" that he has is where his mother lives. For some crazy reason, the cops are not allowed to search it because she resides there, not him, which obviously still makes no sense. So she is not likely to be being held there unless the mother doesnt know or is on board with it. Katelyns mother has suggested James's mother could be part of the suitcase throwing as James has seemingly no friends or social life except for her, but I find that crazy to imagine (but i don't know her so anything is possible).
    I'd love to think that she just ran away - but if thats the case, James should be more cooperative with the family and police. He probably talked to a lawyer which (smartly) advised him against a polygraph... but if he helped her in any way that day, by lying about driving her or where he drove her (obvious by her pings that he was), or actually taking her somewhere else, he should have come clean by now. I agree with most people that he more than likely did something to her. I hope they get some answers to this one for her poor family.

    I think the stepdad may have started sexually assaulting Katelin and maybe didn’t want her to leave him again? He was her last option to take her to the airport. It could explain the clothes being taken out of the suitcase but the money and wallet being thrown out. He doesn’t have a reasonable alibi in my opinion. I don’t think she did actually cheat, it was just more of an explanation for Amber. I hope that this case is solved as soon as possible, not only for closure and potentially saving Katelin, but because it’s so confusing! Great job with this video Bella, per usual! I’ve seen people arrested for way less… how the hell was the stepdad not taken into custody given he was the last person to be with her and CLEARLY lied about where he took her! I just can’t believe they didn’t look further into him and how he was just able to decide not to talk to authorities, and they were just like “okay, we tried. Let’s pack it up boys” … I mean wtf. At the very least, thoroughly check his second property!!!

    A thought about the suitcase - yes, it would've taken two people (one to drive, one to throw) if the suitcase were tossed from inside the vehicle, BUT what if the suitcase was on the roof or in the bed of the truck and it fell off/out? In that case it could be just one person in the vehicle.

    He was being super cooperative in the beginning to see where the cops are at in the case, and to see if they're getting closer to the truth- what he did to her. This whole case I feel like was him (James) stalling the cops bc all cops believe teens runaway all the time no matter what. Just because teens can be rebellious doesn't mean they're always runaways and that they should turn the other way. & This is proof bc they believed text messages to be this teen when it could've been anybody. Just bc it's coming from her phone didn't mean it was actually her typing..

    I would love for you do a video on Heather Elvis who is from my area. They prosecuted the couple who they think killed her, but her body was never found nor a confession so no one knows what truly happened. Doing a video on her would bring more light to the situation and maybe one of your viewers might know what happened to her.

    PART 6
    It seems like he was trying to buy enough time until the next morning. He was fine with everyone finding out the next day that the girl did not flyout as planned, but he did not want anyone to find out before that. Unfortunate for him, the fiancé has become suspicious of the texts and contacted the mother, but then fortunate for him that the police did not react until several days later. He needed only one night and he received even more time than he planned. He needed the rest of the day and the night to finish committing the crime or to hide the evidence of the crime that was already committed.
    If there are ANY vivid evidence left, they will not be on the property where the mother dropped off the daughter. They can’t be. Based on the texts, I was sure that the evidence was all taken care of before the morning, …..so when you said that the police came, I didn’t think they would find anything, and it so happened to be true. He was to carful at planning out the texts and there is no way he didn’t plan out how he would have demolished the evidence. Plus there is a high chance that the crime did not even occur at his home. There is a possibility that he told her that he needs to get something on the way to the airport and so they left much earlier than anticipated and he drove her off to a different place.
    To say the truth I was shocked when you said that he owns another property and they didn’t check it out. By the time they got there, there was no evidence there as well.
    It seems like the police’s ignorance has helped him at least twice.
    Sorry for the lengthy message (6 PARTS). I usually do not leave comments, but this time I had to add my input to this.

    PART 2
    Due to the fact that she is a highly intelligent girl, she did graduate high school 2 years early, she would of known that no one would be able to track her down through her suitcase, and also because she would have known that carrying clothing in the suitcase that they were already in, is much easier than carrying the clothes in her arms or easier than transferring the clothing into a bag, as well as she would have known that no school will accept her without her ID and without the ability to pay for schooling (credit/debit), and even if she does get into a school MYRACULASLY she had to have driving license in order to be able to travel to school and back, and she would have known that eventually, she would have needed some form of healthcare (once again ID’s and other cards are needed). All of these reasons indicate that if she was an intelligent individual (which she was), she did not throw away her suitcase if she wanted to run away and start a new life (and if she has thrown it, it was done not by her own will). So, it is safe to say that if she would have decided to (for some strange and unexplained reason) to “runaway”, she would have kept the suitcase and all of the belongings inside of it and had taken it with her. In this case, the suitcase would have not been found because she would have had it with her in her “new life”. Since the suitcase was dumped, with essential content (ID’s and debit cards are much more essential than fresh clothing), I am personally ruling off the theory that she decided to run away and start a new life and go to a new school (because if your IQ level is at least average, you would be able to say “that ain't happening, girl. Not with all the decisions you made”).
    These were the reasonings to why she did not run away to start a new life and a different school, based on the situation of the suitcase.

  • @JabberJawz.

    As for the suitcase-maybe he sat it on top the car and let it fall off to make it look damaged.
