s-tronic (dl501) can handle +-700Nm with ease.. above that basically the only problem is that the clutches start to slip. more ore less. after that you need to swap the clutch pack to stronger one. the max torque what dl501 can theorically handle is closer to 1000Nm (in short period of time obviously). it's an overkill yes, but in theory. but 970-980Nm is the highest Nm on audi 8ta I've seen. It didn't have the stock gearbox&flywheel, turbo, injectors, fuel pump etc. but in short terms: that 600nm is nothing yet if your gearbox/flywheel are in good condition. pretty much the highest safe figures for this car are somewhere between 380HP-420HP/750Nm-800Nm (if you want to max out everything "safely"). I've got this same car with pretty much the same figures (300hp/600-620Nm), with 280 000km on it (with original clutches and flywheel.
@@kalle2978 Well, some might have problems on early mileage, some don't. Mine has 280 000km now and still zero problems with the timing chain etc. But every car has some kind of "problems" so... 🤷🏻♂️ I also have 300hp/610Nm. Have been for a while now and still nothing has broken so far. 07-09 models has tiptronic. Above that they've s-tronic which changes the gears faster and is more economical than tiptronic, but it's not as robust. Mine has s-tronic and I love it. Just make sure you've a few grand extra for the repairs, because 3.0tdi is not the cheapest option anyways
Hello! Did you encounter any problems with the clutch pack or mechatronic unit ? I see in this video that you had a bit of clutch slip at gear change, did you fix that and if yes, how ? Thank you!
It isnt a real ''launch control'' it is just a revlimiter when you are stopped so its locked like 2.5k just mash the throttle with foot on the brake. At least i have that on my a4
@@4inc248 It is real launch control. It's even listed in the owners manual of the car how to activate launch control on the s-tronic box. When in Neutral or Park it'll only rev to 2.5k. But when in Drive/Sport you turn traction control off, foot hard on the brake then stamp on the throttle pedal all the way down till it clicks. If you don't press the throttle fast enough it'll not engage and will feel like the clutches are trying to engage. If you do it right, it'll rev to 2.9k and then when you release the brake the clutch clamp down and you launch. And as mentioned above, your car must be fully warmed up.
what i dont get is (i love audi more then any car brand) why do audis specially diesels get so slow from 100 above....thats so fucked man..but still great work
because of quattro, drivetrain losses are greater with 4 wheel drive compared to 2 wheel drive, and you notice that drivetrain losses more above 100km/h
S-Tronic (Dual Clutch) is on all Quattro Models, Multitronic (CVT) only on lower HP models and only FWD. TipTronic (ZF8HP) only on the most powerful engines like the BiTDI. This A5 is a 240 / 245 HP Quattro model , that means S-Tronic.
Its fast enough nice turbo sound when you started hit the gas
Very powerful engine amazing diesel very fast
Do u still have it? Im looking to buy one with 100k miles how has ur been any problems? How many miles do u have on it

Have you had problems with the S-Tronic clutches? I've heard that they don't handle remaps very well

Hi I have ordered, the bluefin remap which is really similar figures to what you have.
Have you done a timed 0-100kph?
And another one
Hi my friend. Got the same car. Just to know, is your gearbox still alive with that remap? original clutch ?
Hi buddy, yes it is, its been 2 years now.
Nice. Is this the tiptronic or s? Just a remap?
Lee Timo Hii its s-tronic 7 traps ^^

Hi mate!
I had zero problems with the clutch pack or anything else.
Old comment. But its not clutch. You can hear its the tires and tc is off
I also have Audi A5 3.0 TDI S-Tronic, chipped to 300hp. However, my car does not launch control. Any clue why I am not able to do it?

Did you turn the traction control off and was it in sport? Should normally work with the 7-speed DKG
Same here.
And be sure your car is warmed up.

Did your audi any problems since the tuning?
I only had a DPF sensor error on my dashboard..
Changed the DPF sensor for 100 euros and the error is gone forever I hope.
