Cooked this with 1.3kg chicken (wings & drumsticks). Ratio your recipe and turned out excellent. The Salted Bean Paste is an important ingredient. Had some leftover, and reheated for lunch. Comfort food, I can eat this daily. Thank you for sharing

Ok I followed the recipe. This is my second attempt after I bought the stuff like Chinese wine and soya bean paste, garlic, and ginger. Instead of leeks, I used red capsicum, carrots, and tomato. I made the mistake of forgetting to add soya bean paste initially and added towards the end. Before I added, the gravy actually taste fine, though a bit dilute. I also made the mistake of adding too much soya bean paste. I think my spoon is more than one tablespoon. So instead of four tablespoons, I might have ended 7. The end result is a gravy that is very salty. So I added water to dilute it. I think overall it will work. Just have to be careful with the soya bean paste amount.
Yum. I've been making something really similar to this for years except I put pineapple in, it's just so easy to throw together for a quick easy dinner and everyone always love it.
