Golf Cart Pt. 4 | Muffler Hack, Lights, Body Mounted!

- This time on our street legal golf cart build powered by a stage 2 Predator 420cc engine, we focus on mounting the metal body, finding a muffler made from metal flex conduit, and starting on wiring the headlights, taillights, and turn signals. In order to make our golf cart street legal, we need head lights, tail lights, turn signals, seat belts, a windshield, a parking brake, and a few other things, so there's still lots of work ahead of us!

It does. I drive electric cars from my work from time to time. Pedestrians wont notice you at all and step in front of your car. Thats why most new electric cars got noise generators built in to emitt some noise, so pedestrians hear you approaching.

buy the smallest cheapest car muffler they have at auto zone, its probably a turbo style muffler...its like 18 bucks and much quieter than anything else

Yup nailed it.
use as a big a muffler as you can , so it will flow awesome and not kill power, and it’s sheer size means it will be very quiet also.
You can’t get small and quiet without restriction,so bigger is better in this case.
Or maybe rob one from one of Ike's motorcycles....did the Ducati 900 have one?
Autozone probably had flex pipe too, just measure the OD and find something that'll work.

Get a turn switch from a kenworth truck for your signaling lights. Getting all in one package. Hazard, turn signals, dim light switch. Easily mounted to. Working great for my cart

Wiring is one of my favorite parts on a project. Keep it clean and don't use but connectors. Solder and heat shrink everything.

23A is the model number of the battery not 23 amps. That battery is like .40 amps.

Car alarm home alarm most key fobs use that 23 A battery
I know, worked at Rat Shack for 13 years till the shut the doors of my store. Sad part was the most profitable store in my district and usually the talk of regional meetings on how I was so profitable.
Stack a second light assembly, wire the first as high beams and tilt them up and the top as lows and tilt them down. A 3 way switch on the dash makes the selection easy and accessible.

Hahaha...love the sound testing for exhaust....very scientific.
The rear tires are exposed, you may as Well install mud-flaps/ spray guards a few areas get really anal about that. Enough to fail you on the spot. Just a FYI & yes loud pipes save lives. !!!!!!!

Wiring rule #1: never reuse unknown wiring! I have never yet in my life had good wiring on any used vehicle I've ever had. Loving this build! Great video!

Great build. You guys got me wanting to get a junker and build one. But you should put the street bike engine on it then that would be a blast
Sometimes you guys go all out in your builds, yet sometimes you cheap out big time. I am a huge fan of your channel since you guys always doing DIY stuff with go-karts.
I would install the stock flywheel back up:
1. Your gain torque (heavier, more torque. Lighter flywheel more horse power. On this "slow speed" vehicle your better of with kore torque.
2. You will have your charging system back and will not struggle to set up light bars, horn, stereo, etc.
3. You will have electric start.
...also, if you ever plan to throw the turbo 420cc in this gulf car, please have a profesional muffler shop do the pipping. Trust me, that turbo trike bike of your has lots of airflow restriction.
It will be nice if you take your time to think about this.

I'm running that .265 cam on my mini bike. Its a great all around cam and sounds freaking amazing. Ive got a video of it on my channel if you want to hear how it sounds.
