Wheelies (with a 'lil help)! Looking forward to seeing you guys at Mini Mayhem Spring 2019!

Pretty sure ike has a bug that may have the solution to the problem? 🐞
Ike has a Instagram? N i send u a massage on Instagram
Paint it metallic blue, or silver
Channel is getting pretty boring guys, best of luck..but I can only take so many disappointing video before I gotta go..
So.. you have no rear turn signal when brakes are on?
Heck, itd be easier just to add amber colored lights on separate circuit for turn signals..just sayin..
I fully agree with you these guys should just add a another light to the rear end and run just brakes for one light and run blinkers for the other it would be the simplest of way to do it and the most cost-effective
I agree as well, just add two just like the front ones but isolate them to the flasher circuit only, and that would fix it.
Agreed...Use rear trailer led lights. All in one, brake, turn, and back up lights. This way when you put a reverse box in from "go power sports" you can have back up lights also...
And replace those front lights to bigger ones, to fit the body opening.
I agree but they have been hacking stuff more and more every video I will be fine is cool and all but it only goes so far
What about a volt meter on the dashboard? Since that 420 doesn't have a charging system it'd be useful to know your battery level.
They should get an alternator and connect the belt to the rear axle
@@polaris6644 definitely
Absolutely needs an alternator, no doubt in my mind dude.
customvideo454 not with the billet flywheel
@customvideo454 They could but now they're really starting to get into fabrication just to mount the coil. They should just DO an alternator. Would charge while coasting and might help braking
Just go get an "electronic" blinker module at the autozone. They work regardless of LEDs.
I did this to my 99 tahoe when I switched the fronts to LED switchbacks. A simple signal relay swap and they work just fine without resistors or anything
Without Ike, this channel would be called Cameras.
Wish I could find a good camera guy and editor.
Lmao
i i just come for ike any way
@@rugger8787 Did you ever notice that Ike gets to do all the first test rides? He is like a crash-test dummy, aside from being all the brains and technical knowhow on all the modifications they do.
John's learning heaps and definitely has his place on the channel, i like him, but there's no doubt who's the mechanical master and i'm sure both John & Ike would agree.
I found y’all a couple years back y’all inspired me to build my first go cart keep up the good work it’ll be fine
almost broke my finger clicking!! That thing is gonna be so cool ripping around your town. You should Letter it up with vinyl "Cars and Camera" decals. or at least a big "It'll Be Fine" on it :)
Agreed. But, I'd keep the smiley face.
@@bradleyj.fortner2203 I agree :) keep the smiley too
Custom licence plate saying it'll be fine would be cool
froggers garage ITLBFINE for 8 letters, or ITLBFIN for 7. I don’t remember how man NC allows on vanity
Wire a resistor in-line to get the turn signals to work with a standard relay. 👍🏻👍🏻
What size? That's the important parts lol
George Duckworth keep going bigger until it works. Or figure out what load the relay wants and calculate which relay you need.
Then diodes to prevent the feedback problem.
@@dwerg85 lol I know this. Ohms law is calculated in my head constantly. It's part of my job.
Or instead of needlessly wiring resistors in until it works, buy an electric relay.
People love to make work needlessly complicated
I love how you guys problem solve your issues rather than just giving up. Speaks a lot to your character. Watching you inspires me to keep looking for a solution to the problem. Keep up the content! Looking forward to Wednesday!
Such a awesome build, I love this channel. Can’t wait to see the golf cart making parts runs.
Train horns man! You guys have come a long way with that cart. 👍👍👍👍
That thing looks like it takes off pretty good guys. 👍
Loving this build! Keep up with the good work!
Keep having fun and building kool stuff. Wheelies and a burn out, life is good : )
Awesome video!
Can't to see the inspection video!!
That looks like soooooo much fun
Great series. Loving it.
Love how you learn we learn too good job guys.
That looks fine all right. You guys should hook up with Grind Hard Plumbing. Would be awesome to see their Barbie Jeep Crawler at Busco Beach.
Jonathan Amadeus yessss
also quad ricers with kramers golf cart
Quite a ways from North Idaho to Busco Beach.
@@rogerbushong3464 Roadtrip!
@@rogerbushong3464 they live in north Pennsylvania
This is turning out really cool!
It looks and sounds so sweet keep up the good work and great content
Looks like a blast have fun and be safe
That gas tank peeking through the seat is so funny.
Nice work boys.
I WANT one!!!!! Great video guys!
This golf cart is my favorite build only because ive been thinking about a 670 on one
Keep up the good work love the videos
Just add another Orange light above the red one for the turn signal like a car. Get an LED flasher. Looks like a lot of fun! Nice job guys!
I watch your videos at 0.25 speed it prolongs my happiness 👍
First minute of the video johns gotta go and say “it’ll be alright”... you meant “it’ll be fine”... it’s alright though bud, we all have bad days... haha
Sounds good looks fun keep up the great videos
You guys are awesome
Make all your town eco people love you by putting a flexible solar panel on it to charge your battery when sitting. Lol
That thing is going to be bad ass
Wicked cool direction of the channel guys!
Anyone running a surface grinder while watching this great video?!?!
Good job guys! I want to see the face on people when y’all leave out from a light on the back tires!!
Cant wait for mini bike mayhem
Hahaha the end was funny. Who couldn't love you guys? Thanks for the video
Loved the ending :)
You boys be careful on that thing. I've put a cart just like that so hard on its side dicking around. Reverse 180s, it was all fun and games until it hooked up mid turn. Luckily didnt get hurt, but keep that in mind! Another great video, keep up the good work.
I live this build. I think I'm going to build a golf cart this summer. I have a good body and frame. Can't wait to see it done
Cool golf cart!!
Yeeeeaaaasss, I think I’ll be able to come to the meet for my birthday!
Love John's cackle as Ike's lying flat on his back at the end of the vid. Ike - you have to rig up some payback.
Badass badass idea for a Deadman switch brake light
Love the billed
Ike flat backed while u drive off was priceless.good job guys. Id love to come hang out with u guys one day .kip from Clyde NC
Definitely one of the coolest projects so far
Aw man if I could spend my days messing with engines and karts, what a pleasant life that would be
That's why I love you guys, you live a life that I could only dream of
Ike cracks me up. "It'll be fine! *finger points*" "We got Hazards..." "Let me think...let me think. *smirk*" LOL.
Would love to come to the mini Mayhem. but it'd be a 4100 K Drive :( you guys need to come up with an event on the West Coast .love the content boys keep it up!!!!
super nice job on everything you have done on the golf cart i like its nice all the way down to the smiley face lol good show guys
So I see the video is posted for 32 minutes with 5.7k views already when I come across it. A ratio of 3 views a second, pretty outstanding.
"It'll be fine " definitely applied from when you two first launched this channel.
I love your vids
thanks for the video
Reminds me of when we had golf cart races at camp. The owner hosted it. It got a little too competitive. We had all of the fat guys standing on the backs for traction, wound up just doing wheelies. Had strings hooked up to the throttles so it actually got full throttle, and then we got them up to 40mph
Hold on tight Ike, Hahaha nice bail.
Last clip 100% 💯
Big fan of u guys and I follow on the gram good video
You guys are lucky. Be safe but keep up the great stuff.
Awesome!
If you go back to the auto parts store, they will have blinker modules that are digital and made for LED lights. They don't cost a whole lot more..... your panel lights did the trick! I can appreciate the not giving up... Wiring turn signals is much easier than folks realize, you'd cause yourself more trouble trying to pull it out of a motorcycle or something than what you just did. Good work.
What a great ending to this video! Talk about LMAO! Hey, a little welding--it'll be fine!
For a moment there I thought Ike had accidentally let the smoke out of the electrical wiring system. Well done lads!
There was a after market turn signal switch that will mount on the steering column. It was a all in one system that where used to replace or add turn signals to older cars. Not sure if you can still get them.
Love this project! Just on3 tip for u guys, predrilling. Makes life hell-of-alot easier!
They make a flasher with a ground wire that will fix your turn signal problem
Load resistors
Right. That way they can make a flasher circuit that's independent of the load and the flash rate won't change with the load. Adding load resistors in parallel with the LED's when using a 2-wire flasher will work, but that's a kludge that may go well with this build ;o)
To have turn signals and brake lights work simultaneously, try using one of those trailer light converters for foreign cars which have independent brake and turn bulbs / filaments. (One can also design one using XOR or XNOR gates and drive transistors, but that's... Nevermind.)
Fourcycle why is life so complicated 😂 sometimes it's easier to just run independent indicators rather than combined with the tail/brake lights. It's a bit more work but it's simple circuitry
It's getting there.
Cant wait untill that thing is done you guys need to do some street racing!!
Man, you really don't think about wheelies and skidding when it comes to golf carts. This definitely will be a golf cart that'll stand out!
John looks like a kid on that thing lol. It's coming along awesome guys.
This is such a cool project! Maybe you guys eventually throw a lift on it with bigger offroad tires. And keep the yellow you dont see many yellow golf carts and it looks awesome. This is what people did before all the side by sides got popular. Lifted golf carts are fun and also make great pit vehicles and you can offroad them too
I think it would be really cool with a transmission! cool project!
I think you need a relay in series on the circuit where your switched 12v for the illuminated brakes is run through. That way your foot provides constant 12v to a relay that switches on/off for one side only when the turn signal is activated.
Love these videos, I watch them every week. I’m a mechanic similar to Ike and I enjoy watching the creativity.
Yall need more subs
I love that you guys put your mistakes in there. Keep on keeping it real boys!
Really think you should have geared it up a bit more.
Have the highs that y’all already have just as break lights and get 2 yellow lights for blinkers and wire them separately from the break lights like on motorcycles. They have the single break light in the center and then the blinkers off to the sides.
omg remember last year when you and Ike made out on the hood of your miata!! things surre got wet and wild that day !
John's voice finally dropped! Congratulations young man.
You need the euro car trailer adapter for the lights. (cars with a separate amber turn signal bulb) That will let a brake light blink when the turn signal is on.
Hi Guys! Why don't you install a real muffler? It should sound a lot better, just a suggestion...
The tubes are for testin' purposes only. Once they get it inspected they'll fix it... it'll be fine.
They put the conduit on to pass inspection, then they will go to a straight pipe. After all, LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES!!!!!!!!! Lol
Almost new Harley take-off mufflers are cheap on eBay.
Run the exhaust through a 4 cylinder car muffler, it will be quiet but have very little restriction
That cart looks like fun. I can imagine a stereo system, a cooler, and a charging system, getting installed. Add some better tires with grip for off road use. Now you have a street legal beach buggy. That cart is way too fast for the golf course!
SHould have totally gone to summit racing and bought a column turn signal switch! Next level
The brake lights is one thing I could never really figure out when I was converting my golf cart to street-legal, I ended up buying a kit that had the turn signal hazards and horn all built into one, I don't recall if it had a brake light wire in it or not.
Well done, Isaac! When you fall off, always lay there like you're dead. It's much funnier.
At my age its best to wait to see if i really hurt myself or not. Lol
@@isaacitllbefine7231 I hear that, young feller.
Going to my first Mini Mayhem in April!!! 🏎
Should just buy a turn signal and brake light kit for a ezgo. They have them on Amazon for like $150. Wiring harness, lights, everything in one kit. Wouldve saved so much headache on Ike's part and it's all plug and play.
Try the Tusk Enduro lighting kit replacement wiring harness (and components), from RockyMountainATVMC. Cheaper, LED blinker relay option. Brake/tail all wired correctly. It doesn't really matter if motorcycle or other, extend wires if needed. [The tricky signal/brake situation on the golf cart is easiest fixed with separate blinker lights in the rear.] *that Enduro harness includes wiring for two brake light switches and horn. I guess they also sell the T-Rex universal harness for UTV's slightly more expensive.
I found a switch made by gm on eBay it only like $20 but it doesn't come with lights they already have the lights tho
Too expensive. China bike outlets have these or in peices for max 80$
Drill out and tap left hand thread wont back out bolt and wont need tack welding . Cool vids guys keep em up .
y'all should put a dixie horn on it. that would be dope.
Hey guys tech tip For you:
Briggs & Stratton has a specialized tool to remove the valve springs, it doesn’t work on any other engine but Briggs & Stratton!!
If you can find a set taking apart any Briggs & Stratton engine even with basic hand tools can take less than 7 minutes.
You can also put a resistor in the led
You can put a ballast resistor across the indicator lights to draw some more current, or there's some flasher cans that are designed especially for LED installs.
Turned out great...would be fun to see a 4wd build someday.
Flexible conduct over wires to protect them
With the brake lights, put them through a normally closed relay (also called a changeover relay) for each side. Then connect the left side relay trigger to the left indicator wire and the right side relay trigger to the right indicator wire. That way, when the indicator flashes, the normally closed relay will open, cutting power to the brake light. When the indicator turns off, the relay will close again, turning the brake light on. So you will get the brake light flashing with the indicators. And because of using a normally closed relay, the brake lights will work normally when the indicators are off. The brake lights will flash opposite to the front indicators, but that shouldn't really matter. To clarify for the relay. Pin 85 to GND, Pin 86 to indicator wire. Then cut the brake light wire and connect one side to Pin 30 and the other side to Pin 87a (normally closed)
can y'all make a PTO to run a 1 wire or 3 wire GM alt to keep the batt charged when your idling/driving?
In order to get brakes and turn out of one LED use a tail light converter they use for trailers
We need a update on John's truck. I see he bought some doors👀
For the wiring, get a trailer wiring control box from uhaul. They will take the brake, running, and turn signal signals and adap them to work for combination brake/run/turn lights.
Did it in the next vid
@@isaacitllbefine7231 Saw that, Thanks for the heads up.
I converted my 83 Honda CB650 to LED lights, I changed the flasher to an electronic flasher. sold as "led signal flasher" they are also adjustable to change flash frequency.
A proper universal turn signal switch that mounts to the steering column would allow signal on one side and brake light on the other. Pretty simple set up with hazards can be bought for around $20 on ebay
