200 Subscriber Thank You & my top 5 criteria to collecting

- Опубліковано 25 чер 2024
- First, I want to thank everyone who has taken a moment to watch a video and comment, like, and most easily counted, subscribe. Having 200 subscribers is a very humbling statement. I hope this means there are at least a couple hundred collectors that share a similar interest and passion for my style of collecting.
In addition to the huge thank you to the many kind and supportive folks in the card community, I wanted to take some time in this video to review how I screen cards to collect. What types of criteria do you look for in your collecting journey? Please share and I am guessing many of us share a very similar set of ideals and interests. Thank you all again for your participation and support.
Great cards. Cheers!
Glad to be a little part of your UA-cam community. I wander the channels like some stalking commenter lol.. It's fun we can share what is special individually and revel in it together.
@@royakard8536 it is awesome to have you as each collector brings something unique and fun. Appreciate you!
You have great cards
@@mostlyautumn thank you, my friend.
Well done, good video. Congrats again! Killer Worch Cigar, love that.
@@OC-MC_Joe thank you! Need to get you on a few recording when you visit!
Love the 72 Venny Rod Carew sticker , thanks for sharing Aaron.
@JoeWoodCollector-Doug thank you, my friend! That is a particularly interesting card for sure.
Great cards Aaron! Love your thought process on collecting. It is a true collectors mentality. Thanks for sharing my friend.
@EverydayCardCollector-Jason thank you, sir. You have been a great friend and motivated me to take the jump and get this process moving.
Congrats on 200 subscribers. Thank you for sharing your collection
@ACollectorsDream thank you, sir. I always enjoy what you share and am very appreciative of how you support the community!
Congratulations on your 200 subscribers, Aaron! Well deserved. Really enjoyed seeing your new pickups. Beautiful FATIMA Nationals team card with some iconic names. Thorpe, Marquard, Mathewson, Merkle, WOW! Glad you included the mascot. The Foxx and the Dickey are classics. I enjoyed hearing more about your collecting style and philosophy. Thanks for a great video. You are on your way to 300 and more, for sure!
@@BaseballTimeTraveler thank you, my friend! Always appreciate your thoughtful comments and getting to know more about your collection.
Awesome video! Love the Exhibit Foxx. I have the 4 in 1 Blue tint with Foxx, Cochrane & Grove from 1929-31.
@stuke1976 thank you! I absolutely love those multi player exhibit cards. It's such a huge bonus to score three HOF players in one card. I'm definitely envious of that one as a Foxx and Grove collector!
Cheers Aaron! your cards are awesome but what draws us to your channel is you amazing personality and fun way that you collect! You seem to get us and we connect because we kinda all think the same in our silly, funny and yet fully defendable way. What we do as card collectors is preserve history and share stories. Sounds to me like pretty darn important things we do. Wow! that Rose rookie is one that i hope to someday have and your copy looks great! Lol pre-war! Which war! Classic! Ok so the Blyleven card made me laugh out loud! I have always enjoyed that card and wondered what they heck they were thinking when they took that photo. I mean I can chew gum and blow bubbles so should I get on a Topps card? Hmm I am a set collector so my criteria for collecting is list driven. I want to cross off that card from my "list" but i want the card to be something that I am excited to look at again and again. Color, image, player, scarcity and bragging rights all come into play. Oh and I agree poor Fred Merkle....
@DogAteMyCard wow, my friend! Thank you for the kind words and such a fun take. I always admire the set collecting process. No opportunity to find another version. Your list is strictly defined. The card community in general and more specifically on UA-cam is just wonderful. I appreciate getting to know you a bit through the discussions.
Congratulations on reaching 200. I really appreciate your views. One criteria I have to include is price; if I can’t afford it, it doesn’t matter how great a card is. (At least that’s what I tell my wife.)
@@randallbaker9060 oh, Wow and 100% on point! I have to disqualify cards over a certain threshold too and that is almost like a different classification mentally. Really great point!
Congratulations on 200. Nice cards
@peterb4871 thank you, my friend!
Mh
Gf is Waitress in Rest. & One of her customers was Showing Off. Jackie Robinson Rookie Recently ,I wasn't there & She Couldn't Tell What Make Card it was.
Congrats on surpassing 200 subs.
I enjoy the content that you provide on your channel.
Again Congrats 👏
@CraigsCards62 thank you so much, my friend! Appreciate you and all you are doing as well. Great community!
Congrats on 200 Aaron! Very cool walkthrough of your collecting criteria with a lot of cool cards. Wagner is next on my list and your Polo Grounds Game card is wonderful. I’m eyeing either that one or the 1913 National Game or Tom Barker cards.
@@3D80sKid thank you, my friend! Congratulations again on that big Ruth pick-up too! That Wagner seems to be a great value and the images on all of those sets are great. I definitely want more from all of those sets.
Congrats on the 200 subscribers. I like how you think about cards. I don’t have exactly same criteria but I collect in a pretty similar way. Love the old rare stuff.
@@MarksDodgersCards I am guessing if you add Dodgers player, we are pretty close 😂
@@Valuevintagecards-Aaron yeah - I’m less of a player collector. There is one team I kinda go for though.
Congrats on 200 Subs!! I'm drawn towards art cards. I enjoy cards that had an artistic value. I also agree with all of your criteria but the artistic draw is most important for me. That's why I collected the entire 1934-36 Diamond Stars set. The whole set is a work of art. Now I'm moving onto the 1952 Bowman set. Another work of art in my opinion. Beyond that I'm trying to decide which set is more artistic, the T206 set or the 1933 Goudey. Either way they will both be enjoyable to hunt down. It really doesn't matter if its a card of a common or HOF player as long as it's eye catching.
@@OlSargeCollects first, thank you! I love that art card focus! What a great way to focus the search. Absolutely agree, the Diamond Stars is excellent. Since Goudey would have so many similar players, how about T206 for my 2 cents. Maybe a smaller Caramel series. Potentially easier and just as beautiful.
@@Valuevintagecards-Aaron totally agree on the caramel series. They also have a few extra HOF players than the T206 or T205 sets
