Ugly Cards? A couple of sets to avoid or to collect

- The sets featured in this video are on the short list of least popular for their artistic impression of the players. However, over time I have made a 180 degree change and actually now enjoy these sets. Take a quick look at the R337 and R302 sets and decide for yourself. Please add comments on any ugly sets you would add to this list.

I have a R302 Bobby Feller that I won on auction. Would love to get a R302-2 Larry Doby. Haha. What is really bizarre is that the Doby card has the exact same image they used in 1943 for Jonny Vander Mere-the white, left handed pitcher #57. Good stuff. Thx for sharing.

Cool. I’d never seen that eclipse import set before. They sure pale in comparison to the other issues you mentioned. I’ll need to check for any dodgers on the checklist.
@@MarksDodgersCards I mostly agree, but they do grow on you. As a player collector, it's hard to skip sets if available 😬

I don't recall the exact #, it may be W519, but the set that I am thinking about has the Frank Frisch rookie....really one of the ugliest sets. Coveleski's rookie may be in that set as well, although the Coveleski may be the W520, which is equally ugly to the W519.
@bagwell78 good call! Those strip cards have some that are pretty brutal as well. Definitely a cartoon kind of look to them.
Consider a new background for your videos, especially with the sun glaring in.
