Watching one year later from U.S. military, South Korea, Christmas season. Thank you for your beautiful prayer which brought tears to my eyes. May you be greatly blessed for your sharing and the good times you ( and the precious beagle) bring to the hearts of many of mankind.

Thank you for the dish, and tips on outside cooking! I will give this a try, making the cornbread even in coals! I must also thank you for the wonderful and beautifully articulated blessing. You are a true American cowboy gentleman. God bless.
There aren’t very many that are willing to let their faith in God shine forth. Giving thanks for everything and asking God to bless us and our food is wonderful. Thank you for all you do to make people smile and give of yourself.
I'm watching this nearly a year later, and it reminded me I need to get my Mama to show me how to make giblet gravy for the dressing while she's still here to do it. In our family, when I was a kid, every cook had there own little specialty and when we got together at Thanksgiving and Christmas it was a potluck or in the summer a "dinner on the ground". Sad to say it kind of fell apart when my Great Grandpa died. Most of the old folks are gone, but I have some good memories of the feasts I saw spread out back then. Never seen dressing done quite the way you do it, looks like I need to give it a try.
Amen is right, Kent. Any of us that are in possession of our family’s dressing recipe (and yes, for the last time you other kind of people, it’s not stuffing, it’s dressing) consider ourselves to be in possession of the most valuable treasure bestowed on our family. My own Mama never made it for fear of riling up my Grandma, but as the favored grandson, I was gifted with the family recipe and consider it my most valuable possession. As I’ve looked at the backside of 60 come and go, I can see my wife and daughter are getting a little nervous that I might find my way over to Grandma’s side of the river without passing on the dressing recipe. “You’re making the dressing, right Dad?” is the thing I most love to hear my daughter ask. She doesn’t know it, but she is feeling the arms of her Great Grandma, who she never met, by loving the dressing recipe so treasured by 5 generations. And counting. Thanks for sharing the importance of this family tradition, Kent.
One of your best videos by far. Brought back so many memories. The staging was outstanding. That SW Oklahoma background, with Old Glory framed in the middle of the tree was beautiful. When you stopped and blessed the food, well, I shed a tear or two. I wish you both the best Thanksgiving season ever...
Kent your and Shannon's videos are some of the highest quality on UA-cam. You both are very good at what you do. Why food network hasn't grabbed you up I don't know. Glad they haven't so I can still watch you here. God bless and keep the videos coming.
My daughter's favorite stuffing is stove top my other daughter she likes me to get all fancy, the stove tops good enough for me. I like to use what I have and you are an inspiration 4 people that have trouble flying by the seat of their pants. Thank you for asking the Lord to bless the food and to bless this country because we are truly blessed.
Yeah I thought that too. Here in the UK it's stuffing but back in Canada when I was growing up I remember the locals called it dressing. My parents were English and called it stuffing but if we ate Sunday dinner at a friends they would call it dressing. "pass the dressing please". Great memories.
Oh my! Kent, you done stirred up some very fond memories of my Mama. She used to make (IMO) some of the best Okie cornbread dressing you ever set up to. She was from McAlester. This is the time of the year when all these old memories come flooding to the forefront of my mind for me. With five brothers and eight children, Mama kept busy baking cookies, pies and, making different flavors of fudge. She knew what each person preferred, what their favorite desserts were, and that's what she prepared for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please keep these treasured memories coming our way Kent. Wishing the Rollins family and pups a Blessed Holiday Season. God Bless you and Shannon Kent. Stan
Your videos, your voice and southern gentleman ways make me feel so homesick... I've been away from the South for too long. ☹ But I enjoy watching for the same reason. Thanks for the great how to videos.

"Put it in the icebox". I love it. I got to get me one of them things and put a 78 on the old record player... and eat some cornbread dressing. Thanks Kent.
@@Peter7966 I can remember those authentic "icebox's". In fact, where we lived at this particular time, every home had an icebox. Why, I remember myself and the other lil 3 - 5 year old urchins chasing the iceman around the circle where we lived. He'd drive his truck down the lane with a passel of kids after him finally, he'd stop and take out his ice pick and commence to start chipping chunks of ice for us. He made sure everyone got a piece of ice. Another great memory was going to my grandparents house, opening the door to the icebox and getting out my grandpa's beer and chugging some down. Grandpa would get a good laugh out of that. Anyone else have any cherished experience with ice boxes? If so, how about sharing. Stan
