So excited to share this with you guys!!! Scott and I have bought our first home together! We’ve been renting whilst saving up to buy our first home together!!!
As you can see it’s far from perfect - that’s an understatement! We have had to completely redo the house! We have been filming a renovation series so that you can see all that we get up to and what we do with the house!!!

Congratulations on your first home. Neither of you shy away from hard work so, in the end, this ugly duckling will be a home you will be proud of. Funny though, where I live in Australia, we'd call that third bedroom a storage cupboard it's so small. What astounded me when I last visited the UK was the total lack of built-in cupboards in the bedrooms meaning ridiculous stand alone wardrobes taking up space in already smallish, by our norms, rooms. Definitely a sensible idea getting rid of those pine trees. Not only are the huge, messy light blocking monsters thay attract lots of pest that live in them like mice.
Again looking forward to future Reno updates and congratulations.

It's a cute house. I hope you're going to open 1 of the rooms up. The little fire place in the blue room is a nice touch to olden days. Think it was one floor upstairs made into 3 rooms. Have fun with it. Looking forward to updates!!!

Loved this. My house is a doer upper too but I own every last bit of mould and rot in it! Lovely to be able to do what you want in a house. Oh, Lord some of that wallpaper and carpet! LOL! Looking forward to seeing what you guys do to it.

Ermm I don’t know what to say about that decor lol, it’s going to be gorgeous when you’ve renovated it, with all that artex all l can say is good luck guys lol, on a serious note though Ashley with your dad being a builder he will know about being careful of removing old artex may have asbestos in it, l think the hardest thing is getting rid of those trees, the root system is a bloody nightmare, the garden is a good size, not big enough for the horses though lol, l’m definitely watching you guys doing the renovations, can’t wait, one final thing is why didn’t Scott carry you over the threshold lol, tfs x Julie

That is... quite a project. I know how fond you Brits are of carpets, but I would suggest getting floor heating and some hardwood floors, much easier to keep clean.

@@ashleyharrisoneventing in Norway people ripped our their carpets in the late 80's and never looked back. Cleaner, better for people with astma and allergies, must if you have pets, or clothes shedding hay, shavings and horse hair.🤓
When I went to university in the UK and asked for an allergy friendly room, they had to make one... and all the cleaning lades were extatic because it was so easy to clean.
We say when the carpet is bad, its Pub carpet
