Amazing work, Jeff. Very well explained from beginning to the end. I was wondering if you will continue with these video series with the way to periodically schedule the data transfer, once the mappings are set-up. :)
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, my intention was to carry this through to include scheduling the integrations to run on a recurring basis. I'll get back to it, so check back in a bit! Thanks again for being part of the channel!
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback and for being part of the channel. Just FYI, I've recently published a full ServiceNow Fundamentals course that can be found at www.servicenowsimple.com. It includes 15 lessons with downloadable study notes and sample cert test questions. Please share with others that might find useful!
Thanks, the importing series helped a lot in my real life task. I wonder when importing some record number which is a refference to different table, how can i import the number but display the Name of the record of that referenced table insted.
@@ServiceNowSimple Thank you ! This hierarchical import has been a pain in my neck :) and I am pretty sure it's very overwhelming for someone starting new. Especially if you could emphasise on the difference between a field map script Vs the Transform Script in relation to hierarchical imports, that will be great !! Thanks once again.

Could you please do a video on transform map for hierarchical import? Thanks
Yep! I will put it on my list. Thanks for the idea! I’m always looking for topic ideas.

Hi,
Question: Will coalescing do both INSERTING new records and UPDATE existing records?
Yep. The transform will check the coalesce field(s) and if it finds an existing record, perform an update; otherwise an insert.
By why you have stopped creating those?

I recommend you just refer to "import sets" as "import sets" instead of muddying the waters with "staging"
