ive got an 86 125 and its got a mesed up cdi box that if i tilt just right and have it mounted with hose clamp it will un restrict rpm and as messed up as it sounds lol feels like a hondas vtec... please forgive the statement but mine has been clocked at 48 by garmin and has 20x7-8 rear tire... and yes confirmed mph not kph....
They go about 40mph. I am a giant so when I am on it more like 35 lol It is actually pretty good really, they are rated at like 11HP and I used to pick on my buddy who had a 200cc Yamaha and while it was a smidge faster I could keep up with him running around on dirt. The little Suzuki's top end when you wind it up really makes it snappy for how little it is.
Do you have the throttle limiter screw all the way out? (It's right behind the throttle). You should do a new video on the top speed, but mount the gps by the odometer and actually try
yeah it's all the way out! trust me, i actually tried here! i don't have a way of mounting the gps by the odometer right now. the odometer spins way too slowly to really show anything. maybe i'll come back to this in the future with camera on the gps.
Mine did about 27. it wouldn't do 30, I didn't feel like smashing a valve or killing the engine in some expensive way. with different gearing yes it possible could go faster.
my stock 1984 in 5th tops out at 100 kmh and faster if ur smaller. it keeps up to traffic doing 80kmh at 3/4 throttle. and my chinese 150 does over 100 kmh both stock. and 3 other that go faster than need be!!! and it sounded like you didn't wind yours out to the max? mine makes that nenenenana noise on my 1984 stock 125 suzuki even though it's 4 stroke
that was my first quad back in 06 I paid 600$ for it and think I paid a bit to much for that junk that lasted me less then 2 months smh how much did u pay for yours ?
I had a 84 lt 125 complete piece a shit I bought it back in 06 from some hill Billy rancher for 600$ piece a shit only lasted me like 1 month and the motor seized
fun enough speed. I just traded/bought an older one for my fiancee to learn on.. I also have an lt250r, suzuki atvs from this time period are awesome.

The fastest ive gone on mine was 36mph. Started in first and maybe revved up to 7 or even 8,000rpm.

Martin Peralta they run forever with little maintenance. I paid 300 in 1995.
