Teach your dog to walk at your side

  • This video shows you an effective technique to train your dog to walk at your side without pulling on leash.
This technique works by showing your dog that as long as they continue to walk at your side, they get to continue to move forward on their walk which is naturally reinforcing to dogs.
    Steps:
Position your dog at your side with a little slack in the leash.
Now begin moving forward. If your dog starts to forge ahead of you, you will move backwards one or two steps. If the dog stays, at your side, you continue to move forward. Use praise when your dog is in the correct position.
This technique works with almost every type of leash walking equipment including harnesses.

Honestly this is so good! I have adopted a shelter dog. It’s been 4 days now since he arrived. We had a lot of luck because he was immediately drawn to us. The walk on the leash wasn’t that easy tho and he was always running ahead and pulling on the leash. I tried this today for a whole hour and omg it worked!!!! Of course I have to repeat it over and over again but this was by far the best walk within the 4 days. I’m so glad I found this video. Haven’t had these issues with my first dog which I got when he was still a puppy. That’s why I think I will have to work even harder and have a lot of patience with this one. Thanks a lot ! You are great

Appreciate the video thank you. Just wondering how long and how often do you recommend for training?

Love your method. Not like those that keep treating all time and then once no more treats dogs do not actually learn anything.

I just adopted an Amish breeder release pup, 1.5 yo and walks horrible on a leash. I can't wait to try this method!

You make it look so easy. My dog is 5 months old and whenever I try to go walk him he loops around my legs or walks across and in front of me making me fall 😫 lol but I will try this! Hopefully it works 🤞

I’m excited to try this. Although, I do recommend using a harness so the dog doesn’t choke.

Good luck with the technique! Also dogs don’t choke if you teach them not to pull on leash no matter what type of equipment you are using. However, if the dog has a tracheal avulsion previously existing, choking may occur and a harness may be helpful.

And Yep, you'll get a discount for being So Cute 😏
      What do you say?
However if you are in another state you'll have to fly me out though.
I'm THAT GOOD and worth it
      What do you say? 😏
