You will get the best result if in the mixing stage you already keep your instruments at low volume. Then you won’t clip and your track will breathe much more 👌 Edit: I think that’s called gain staging
That’s not gain staging... Gain staging is making sure every signal is at the exact same volume throughout the effects and all, for example: You’re kick is at 0.0 db, lower it to -6.0 db, add ott or some shit and now your kick is at -3.5 so you lower it back down to -6.0 on the output knob of that plugin, and you do this so you can turn effects on or off without hearing a difference in volume to get a more accurate representation of what change that effect is making. It’s recommended to have every element set to the same volume and the lower you choose the more dynamic control you’ll have while mixing AND you’ll have more headroom for mastering. I like to do -6.0, but some people will do -8.0, -9.0, -12.0 or something.
man I just wanna thank Ultrasonic for getting me into music production. I've been producing over a year and a half now because of him. I've worked so hard for the past year. I now have a following of almost 5k on tiktok because of my music 😇 thanks Ultrasonic.
when you eq'd the kick and put an OTT on the instrumentals i thought the video was a joke, but then you kept going and i was like 🌚 great tutorial tho lol sometimes we get stuck with the same formula and a video like this helps a lot
help with mastering pls when i glued my instruments together i couldnt take them apart and they all broke and didnt work anymore and i was called a failure someone help me pls?????????

Sorry I'm late Master to watch your video , as usual you help me again with this useful tutorial ❤️😭 , I'd made my track but I did not do the mastering . So the result was disappointing 😂. By this tutorial , I understand how important of mastering is . Big thanks to you master ❤️❤️❤️
You know you're a pro when your kick is louder than the whole instrumental.

you should watch BIG Z bro!
What he does is basically stems mastering. But I never actually thought of doing this myself before🤔
@Mick Barnes I also use Izotope Ozone, but I don't let the AI do the Job. I use the modules and make it myself
i think this doesn't even hit the -5 LUFS 😐
Bro I just slap an Ozone 9 and use the mastering assistant. NOW THAT'S A PRO MASTERING TECHNIQUE
You joke but Ozone is honestly a game changer. I do think it rolls off the bass too much though..

Why did you put a fruity balance on the master at -6 dB instead of mixing the track at -6 dB?
What if you're Mastering for streaming services and you need -14lufs and -1.0db true peak?

Ty bro!, a lot of knowledge!!!
What about bass mono? I at Slap House in bass separate bass from high frequencies (bass about ~100Hz) and give bass in mono.
Generally should be 200 Hz maybe 250Hz and below should be mono, you can do this easily in maximus by adjusting the bands freq's.
It was cool idea to master track with this method though we have many different techniques
Can you please make any video to master Psytrance..like ViniVici
🥺Pls
Really unique mastering chain 😱
This is the best mastering video i seen! Next time please use ott. It is the BEST plugin ever!
I think, when we are a pro, then we should increase the volume of the kicks and bit of the other drums.... and the sub bass would be a bit high...
now we need a future bass mastering tutorial
Yeah
