This isn't what young guys with hairloss want to hear... but it's what they NEED to hear. When I got my HT at 32, I really envisioned a low, straight NW1 hairline... but my doctor pulled me back into reality explaining the dangers of going down that route. It made me realize that for once in my life a professional was actually not aggressively selling me anything, and that ethics must be involved.

Do you know if Dr Muresanu accepts doctor trainees at his clinic? I would like to contact him personally, but I can only find the email of his patient coordinator

Will I be doing any "complete" BHT transplants? You mean bigger than a test case? Probably not, but never say never.

Great video, it's fantastic to have access to such valuable information. A key issue for me is how my alopecia will progress over the years. For instance, I'm 26 and have been losing hair since I was 20. I've been taking dutasteride for the past two and a half years, which has allowed me to moderately maintain and regain some hair (from a diffuse NW3 to NW2.5). I'm curious to know if there's a way to predict whether I can keep most of my hair over the next 5, 10, or 20 years, as long as I continue the medication. My doctor thinks it's possible, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

It's a tough call but if you've had noticeable improvements already, then it comes down to your family history. If you've got a lot of extensive loss in your family, you've got a chance of seeing your genetics overpowering the medication. If your family history doesn't have much presence with extensive Norwoods, and again you've gained, then you got a good chance of hanging on to what you've got as long as your medication remains consistent.

@@hairtransplantchannel Thanks for the answer, Joe. Unfortunately, both my father and mother have alopecia, and some of my grandparents and uncles do too. Funny enough, my older brother doesn't... I guess I should expect more loss in the future.
