O M GOLLY GOSH, GIRL!!! You did a F A B U L O U S JOB!! Tfs! P.S.: Your quiet, unrushed delivery is a MOST WELCOME change to some of the crafting presenters here on Y.T. Thx again.
I really like the look of the card with the tiny straps, but I don't think I have the patience to put that together! The snowflakes in different colors are GREAT accents to the cards. I think I liked the black ones better than the other colors. 😄
These are really awesome cards! I love how you use the rose gold mirri paper. I also like how you embellished your cards. Thanks for sharing. I'm a new subscriber.
Love these cards! As a budget saver, I use gold wrapping paper for the background gold boarders. I buy the metallic wrapping paper after Christmas on clearance. Then use the thicker good gold papers for the die cut out shapes and words.
As usual, they are stunning! I LOVE this idea and look forward to trying. Not only because it is fairly simple, but all that foil adds so much shine without purchasing a special machine.
Thanks so much! I have a few new Christmas card making videos, not one of them are traditional colours, I've only just realised since reading your comment! XOX
I love all of the cards that you’ve made and especially the modern spin that you have given them by using non traditional colors. I miss your videos because for some reason they no longer come through my feed. Not to worry, I put your name in my search and then binge watch whatever I have missed. 😉😂😂😂
Oh no! There's a few people who have said they don't get notified any more and I'm really feeling it this end too! I'm so glad to hear you're searching for me, hopefully UA-cam will start to pop me up again soon 😥🤗❤
Thank you so much for watching the video, just about all my cards I create on my videos can be made by card making newbies, it’s a really fun hobby 😁♥️♥️
Hey Lucy! You are a genius, using up the negatives to the stripes die is a perfect idea. i have been thinking the same thins with the cardboard cut outs too of shapes of things that have been cut out and using them fussy cut out and placed on a card, using the cut outs as an extension of the item as apposed to throwing them away also. These cards have turned out amazing i just love them all. Such beautiful papers too. the ones we don't like so much always end up in a box and not used this is a great way of using them up. If they don't look good by themselves they will look great as a collage which is a great idea. Keep up the great work you are doing i think You tube are crazy not bringing your videos to people who are not yet subscribed. You are doing cards unique to anything else i have seen on here and i just love the cards you make. God bless you Lucy your amazing.
Love the cards. I usually make these type of card with the scraps strips I have left over rather than cut up good size pieces if cardstock but you had such lovely papers to start with , you achieved such great results tfs
They are awesome I never thought of doing snowflakes any other colour than white but thank you for the ideas they are lovely certainly going to use them this year ❤
Thanks for all the tips. I own the wooden snowflakes and didn't know an easy way to use them. Using the Versamark ink and embossing powder is a wonderful idea.
I love how these all turned out! Very pretty and elegant! Nice strips card! I've done this before with tags and made a ton this way. I haven't done it on a card yet. But I will now!!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you like them. I do have a few other "strip" card videos, here's the latest one ua-cam.com/video/bTLrO5XP60M/v-deo.html and I'll be sure to create more in the future, I love strip cards too XOX
G'day Lucy from sunny, at last, NSW. I really love these essentially black & gold themed Christmas cards. You have a great knack for pulling everything together to design quite unique cards congratulations 🎊
Hey Faith, it's so nice to finally get some sunshine isn't it, here in Vic it's been a rainy spring until this past week. I'm so glad you like the cards and thank you for your sweet comments. Have a fab week in the sunshine :) XOX
Beautiful inspiring cards. I just found your site and I agree how your delivery doesn't feel rushed at all. I really like this process. Yes I would love to see some more designs and also maybe a video of all the dies you use and the machine. I'm new to card making and it would be very helpful to me to see your process. I'm from the US. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind comments and I'll keep in mind your suggestions about showing the dies and the die cutting machine. I hope you love your new hobby creating cards, my main tip is always be your biggest fan of your work. XOX
Thanks for this video Lucy. I actually have this pad that I bought from Spotlight maybe a couple of years ago. Would not have thought of using the skeleton strips from the die. Great idea!
New subscriber here, too, also named Lucy. I watch lots of card-making videos and I think this is the first time seeing someone using a paper pad I have, though mine is 6x6 and doesn't have all the designs you showed. I very much liked the black snowflakes and would appreciate seeing more cards with this paper pack. I've been on a mission to use up what I have (way too much, that's for sure) and often make strip and quilt cards from scraps. I don't think any of them have turned out ugly and unusable. In fact, as others have mentioned, they're often my favorites. I see you have other videos for using strips and scraps so I will be watching those, too. Sorry this is so long, but wanted you to know I like and appreciate you and your style.
What lovely comments you wrote Lucy and I love reading long messages, especially such sweet ones like yours. I’m happy to hear you have this paper pad (albeit smaller) and hopefully I can add some more design ideas into my next video using these papers. Thanks for subscribing also Xox
Wow, these cards are so classy! Thank you so much for the inspiration 😊. Great idea to use coloured snowflakes, and you've given me ideas for using some of my MDF embellishments too.
I really love how you made these cards, they are so elegant. I will be going through my huge stash of Christmas cardstock and see if I can come up with some that look as good and elegant as yours. Thanks so much for sharing.
I think we’ve gotten away from being so strict and traditional and I think it’s great for our creativeness
Great idea ❤😂
Can I ask you something Lucy please
O M GOLLY GOSH, GIRL!!! You did a F A B U L O U S JOB!! Tfs!
