Chod, for your 11 Mac song, I'd recommend "Silver Spring" or "You Make Loving Fun" !! Silver Spring from their 1997 concert 'The Dance' is fantastic.
Yep. That’s by far their best. 👈
I do agree that you really do need to react to the performance of "Silver Springs" from the reunion concert "The Dance"...it's a great version.
It seemed as though the entire world had a copy of Rumours at one time.
The Rumours album is one of those one-time gems. Born of drama that should have ended the band, it was a huge hit instead.
It’s an album of literal heart and soul of love and break ups in real time. A classic on every level.
Love Silver Springs, I read they didn't put that on the Rumors album because Stevie had too many songs on there already. Not sure how true that is or not, but they definitely should have added it. I wouldn't have minded.
They were split in two camps while they were dealing with their personal relationships within members of the band going to rocks. Knowing that gives extra to the lyrics, regardless if they are a direct description or inspired by the situation and moved to more universal level.
Stevie Nicks also wrote the song. She's won five Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame both individually herself and with Fleetwood Mac.
Gypsy is a must for a taste of stevie nicks vocals 👌
i saw them in st. louis long ago,, great show.. stevie is beautiful ,floats around like a butterfly.
Stevie , Stevie , love her.
One of my favourite Fleetwood Mac songs. The Corrs do a great cover of this on their MTV Live album.
Stevie’s fast vibrato is something special.
Stevie captures another soul.
Stevie has one of the sexiest voices I’ve ever heard.
I had the pure pleasure of seeing Fleetwood Mac in concert in the 80's in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Excellent concert
I have always loved this song. Please react to the following Fleetwood Mac songs: Gold Dust Woman, Gypsy, Songbird.
Iconic band, talented to the max... And they have such a soap opera backdrop
You should check out Fleetwood Mac's song, "Songbird". It's mostly Christy McVie by herself with piano but it's beautiful!
And to think that Stevie had a bad cold when she recorded her vocals for this song. she wanted to redo it at a later date she did but everyone was happier with the original.
Chod, Dee would really dig Stevie belting out Rhiannon on Midnight Special in 1976. Totally different but a phenomenal performance Stevie was on 🔥🔥 Fire.
One of my personal top three rock songs of all time. Never gets old
The album is Rumours. Fleetwood Mac has 2 female singers: Stevie Nicks and Christine McVee. Chod, let her sample a song from both of them, like Rhiannon from Stevie and As Long As You Follow from Christine.
So true. Christine never quite gets all she’s due, as a singer/songwriter. Always had a healthy respect for her as an artist, and how important she was to “The Mac.”
love Christine McVie's lead vocals on their "Everywhere", "You Make Loving Fun" and "Little Lies" as well !!
"Hypnotized"
That's Stevie Nicks and Mic Fleetwood on the cover.
Chod, now you see how much D listens to you when she's acting like she's listening.
Lol, this girl has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to Stevie Nicks…..one beautiful and obscure song of Stevie’s that you really should react to is FOREST OF THE BLACK ROSES….Look it up. Her voice is exquisite in that song.
Dee, welcome to the Stevie Nicks Fan Club!😊. A huge membership!!!
Rumours was Fleetwood Mac's most celebrated album. Listen to all of it . You won't be disappointed.
* STEVIE ❤️🔥NICKS * had a crush 💗on her and her voice since I was a young lad
Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸
How could Mr Buckingham walk away from lil Stevie? Every guy’s heartthrob of the late 70s-80s!
Happy Easter Dee and Chod!!! And yes I will be taking a shot or two of Whiskey with you and Dee....and......lol......I won't be alone!!!!Hahahaha....Happy Easter you guys!!!
She's smiling and moving, she likes it!!
That a voice! 😎
Don't stop at Dreams. Check out the whole album. It will be your new favorite band!
happy Easter Chod an family
Happy Easter
Rockin' that RAIDERS hat my friend, it looks good on you. With your gorgeous lady beside you, beautifying the scenery, as always. Love the reviews, keep them up.
Your music mirrors your mind
I gotcha, Chod If I ever hear Layla by Eric Clapton again it would be too soon, even before I learned of his politics! A constant barrage on the radio Over Over OVER again It has totally soured me for sure
Smoooooooth.
Did you know President Clinton played saxophone with them for his presidential inauguration?
Stevie is a legend
Silver Springs live 97, The Dance. Please. Rumors was at one point the # 8 on the all time list, selling over 40 million units. A timeless treasure.
She’s on the album cover.
I see both your points of view. I have discovered many songs from hearing clips in movies and commercials. I also have been so sick of songs from hearing them over and over again. I grew up listening to the radio and in the 70s Fleetwood Mac (Lindsey & Stevie version) was played a lot. There were a lot of 70s songs I couldn't listen to for years. I gave Fleetwood Mac another listen, because I was a big fan of Stevie Nicks music in the 80s. My brother is still traumatized by overplayed Fleetwood Mac.
LOL ! Me too. However I must remember this is supposed to be a first for these guys, not me. It's hard to believe anyone has not heard this a hundred times.
Here is a suggestion for Chod - how about some older Fleetwood Mac - before Stevie Nicks. Peter Green was an amazing guitarist and singer. This one is fun. Another version of Willie Dixon's You Need Love. Very different from Small Faces or Led Zeppelin's versions. More like Muddy Waters:
ua-cam.com/video/xIKu-EfgXfs/v-deo.html You Need Love Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac
@@cindyfalstrom7231 I usually remember that this is their first time listening to bands/singers that I have heard so many times. And when asked for more suggestions I will make a list.
I hope they react to your suggestion. I would like to know their opinion. I listened to it, but I won't give my opinion at this time. I would like them to react to Fleetwood Mac before Stevie and Lindsey, because I want to learn more about that period. I know I can go on my own, but sometimes I get sidetrack with other things. LOL I also recently learned there was a Fleetwood with Bob Welch, which I know by his songs "Sentimental Lady", which I heard on the adult contemporary station and "Ebony Eyes" on the rock station.
@@bangmon1000 Peter Green was very well respected by his peers and founded the band in 1967. He was a blues guitarist who previously played with John Mayall. I don't know alot about him myself. He's on my list of artists to check out. My type of guy as I've heard he took took much LSD and went crazy. That could be urban legend, but I have heard him referred to as gifted but unhinged. LOL sounds interesting to me. His band played at that French New Years eve 1968 party w/who, /small faces/Booker T/Pink Floyd/Joe Cocker/ and others. Remember I sent you the link?
I doubt Chod will check him out. He doesn't seem to do too much obscure stuff anymore. Just popular stuff....
If you love her voice at its "angelic best", try the studio version of "Sara" from their "Tusk" release. Although there are a number of them, her early studio versions of "Silver Springs" really highlight her beautiful, storybook vocals.
Happy Easter guys
Same to you
@@carollittle1059 thank you carol .to you and your as well
Stevie. 😭❤🩹
Check out GYPSY by Stevie Nicks and STAND BACK with a little production help from Prince
It's them
Dreams
Dee wears Rugrats WELL!!!
i still like the original fleetwood mac.Black magic woman was a original fleetwood mac song. And Fleetwood Mac's - Albatross was a great tune.
She wrote this in 10 minutes. When her and Lindsey auditioned they only wanted Lindsey but he would not without Stevie so glad they did decide to take them both
If you really want to be blown away by Stevie Nicks or Janis Joplin even listen to some of their Demos on YT they are wonderful..
👍👍👍👍👍
Surely Someone will do "Leather And Lace" at some point
Rhiannon live! Rhiannon live! Rhiannon live!
Easter Bunny requests Fleetwood Mac Hypnotized 😵💫
If you liked that, try Gold Dust Woman
Check this Cover of"Dreams" out😁 Lanie Gardner.. She's amazing.. 🤘😎
7:05=This is one of the issues I have with sampling, as well. Though I think it's definitely an art form, I also think it can take away from the overall experience of the sampled song.
Try Peter Green and Fleetwood Mac, Need your love so bad, Green manalishi, Black Magic Woman, Rattlesnake shake, Oh well, Man of the world. And the instrumental Albartross whic Peter Green kinda ripped from Chuck Berry.
Check out Stevie Nicks live Chicago 2008, you will love it.
I think the current generation has no clue about the music they are tic tocking. Just looking for views. Rumors is one of the best rock albums ever, production, lyrics, musicianship, every song a banger. I do agree that this album was probably overplayed on the radio but it is a great album and deserves all the accolades that it’s received. Happy Easter you guys.
I like the new Fleetwood Mac, but I prefer the older Fleetwood Mac and their various line ups.
Reaction fleetwood mac - go your own way
Happy Easter Ramadan Passover.
Ok I admit it! Her voice tamed me Lol
You have to show her the live version of Dreams
OMG, the last thing I want to hear is bickering.
May I recommend you watch/listen to Stevie Nick's Gypsy.
You have to let your wife react and listen to Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac Saturday Night Special
It amazes me that people only listen to the songs on here that Stevie sings, Christine was more talented in that she wrote many more of the songs, and I always preferred her songs over Stevie's. You make Loving Fun, Over My Head, Little Lies, Songbird (My Fav.), Think about Me, Everywhere and their biggest hit "Don't Stop was sing by her and Lindsey, and she wrote it. Really head scratching tbh. I think people not from our era only know of Stevie and thus they really do nit understand that this group had three different phases, with three different group of peoples, the last was Stevie and Lindsey's period, they were great in the 60s way before they joined.
Christine and Linsey on "World Turning" is one of my favorites! Also on her solo album, the song "Ask Anybody" is a beautiful song.
When groups have two or more lead singers I always like the contrast in vocals and sometimes song style you get, especially when the lead vocalist is also the main or sole songwriter. Makes the whole album more enjoyable.
Chk out There live Rhiannon
Bro it's over I'm giving you a hint...
Don't worry about the mule being blind, just load the wagon.
Your a hit, bigger fish are yours for the taking.
This is why I don't approve of 'sampling'
Now here is Lana Gardner doing a cover of that great classic : ua-cam.com/video/V1LhC1zGouc/v-deo.html&pp=ygUSTGFuYSBHYXJkbmVyIERyZWFt
May I recommend Landslide?
Sadly, Stevie Nick's Rare softness she had here was Ruined by the 80's due to her Cocaine Addiction. Her voice started to change in my opinion her voice was starting to change by the "Stand Back" song I Bought her first Album but that was it. My Favorite song by Stevie Nicks is "Silver Springs" such a Tragic and Devastating and Permanent thing. I'll always treasure their first Fleetwood Mac Album titled the same and most of all Rumours. My favorite song off Rumours was "Go Your Own Way" By far. The Guitar Riffs Oh My. Most of them were on Cocaine I know for sure Stevie, Lindsey and Mick were.
Now do 'Stop Draggin' My Heart Around' Stevie and Tom Petty
'Layla' became the most overplayed song ever on the radio when it came out....wore it slap out.
React to Rhiannon live
As annoying as tik tok made it, it also changed one girl's life after Mick Fleetwood heard Lanie Gardner's cover of this song and the Jonas brothers signed her....all from one tik tok. Worth doing a reaction vid of her cover.
Tusk
Well there are probably a lot of teenagers who have never heard of Stevie Nicks, but other than that...??
Sorry, I think the new generation is dumbing down great classic music. Please keep the classic music alive WITH RESPECT.
My favorite Stevie songs are Rhiannon, Dreams, and Landslide. Now, don't be a hater but, though I could easily take any of those as my top picks for Stevie, I could really take or leave most of the her other songs, in or out of the group. After she and Lindsey broke it off, she started singing pretty much monotoned (or monotonous as I call it). She lost the beautiful vocal range that Lindsey had helped her to develop. She even started adding or changing verses to her songs like in Rhiannon. If you compare their live versions to the album, it's almost like she forgot the words and ad-libbed, though I believe she may have just used lines that had been removed from the studio version. Whatever the reason, they sucked and threw off the meter and rhythm of the song.
Now, my 1st peeve with reactors and Stevie fanatics of all persuasions, is that people often overlook Christine McVie's contribution to the group. She actually introduced more hits with them than Stevie ... lots more, and she had been WITH the group long before she was in the group ... she started out doing artwork for their album covers (i.e. Kiln House).
My favorite Christine McVie songs, and therefore, my recommendations from her would be Warm Ways, Over My Head, followed by Little Lies, Everywhere and Say You Love Me.
However, my 2nd peeve ... everyone seems to overlook Lindsey Buckingham, and that's strange, because he single-handedly brought Fleetwood Mac back from dying a cruel death. He not only insisted when he interviewed for the group, that BEFORE he agreed to join, his then girlfriend, Stevie Nicks, must also be allowed to join as well.
I don't know if it's because his voice is so unusual that make people think it's someone else singing (either lead or in a mix of voices), when they're really hearing him, but he has got an incredible voice. From him, I would go with, of course, Go Your Own Way, then Don't Stop, I Don't Want To Know, Monday Morning, World Turning (Buckingham and McVie shared leads), I'm So Afraid, Crystal, Blue Letter, The Chain, Never Going Back Again, Second Hand News.
Old Joke - Taylor Swift writes whiney songs about her Ex-Boyfriends.........Stevie Nicks writes songs about her EX, and sings it to him while he plays the guitar on it...........
Please react to Selena bidi bidi bom bom
I liked Fleetwood Mac better as a Blues band. IMO
Tic TOC is so silly and childish. Such a waste of time.
Have no idea what you’re talking about
