- Darold Williamson and Jeremy Wariner whooping ass at 2004 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

This video was originally posted by some one else a couple of years back. I couldn't find it on youtube anymore, so I'm reuploading it. - Спорт
I’m here 13 years later to relive the glory of ole “Quarter-Mile U”. Williamson & Warner were legends and watching them run in the Olympics was so exhilarating. Man, I miss Baylor.
The 4x4 will always be the most emotional and competitive race in track and field.
Still one of my favorite videos ever, of any genre, over the last 5 years
Thank you! I enjoyed making it. Wish I could go back and fix some stuff though!
@@kurtdorr seriously I’m with that guy. I love coming back to this video. So beautifully made
This will never get old...
Well, you ran a great leg giving Arizona State a big lead. I always wondered if the collegiate record would have fallen had you guys won.
I made this video. UA-cam forcibly took it down from my site. I never re-posted it. I don't mind that you re-posted it though. Glad everyone likes it. I loved the music I put with it.
Wariner was always my favorite runner. I must've watched this race 10000 times.
Yup
same here
Watching it gives me goosebumps every time!!! I really hope CBS won't complain to Google about it being here, so we can continue to enjoy one of the most beautiful 3 minutes of Track & Field...
Wariner was already the best in the world over 400m at this point. Made the rest of the field look like scrubs
Wariner starts in 8th place and leads at the end of his leg. That almost seems impossible.
Ladies and gentlemen... May I present "the Jeremy wariner show"?!?
One of the most amazing college track performances, this video never disappoints.
Sickest 4x400m race, ever. Wariner flexes.
I love this video so much. I always come back to it every year or so. Only think keeping it from being perfect is the weird rave music.
wish commentary would be exciting like this every time
thank you so much for putting this back up! i love this video
Wariner can fly... wow. Amazing relay!
@BaylorSports I remember you as baylorfan I had several of your videos and boy did they provide me with inspiration throughout my career
No video on the internet gets me more pumped than this lmao
I could run through a fucking wall right now
Williamson faded badly post college. He was a beast in college but didnt do a great deal (by his standards) when he turned pro. Shame because I always liked to see him run.
Injuries sometimes happen and get the best of people. Look at Jeremy Wariner after 2009. His career was never the same even though he was still good because injuries got the better of him.
wow finally get to watch this again
Running like that in traffic was the greatest leg I'd ever seen in the 4x400 relay, still should have been the anchor, but just amazing. Arguably the great 4x400 relay runner of all time and one of the top 3 400m runners ever.
After watching this amazing run the only other 4x400 relay runner I'd put over him is another Baylor alumni and the ONLY one to run 400m in under 43 seconds in a relay. Michael Johnson. Notable mention goes to the 2nd fastest relay runner ever (43.06 I believe) Michael Norman.
@@gmaxsfoodfitness3035 I'm fortunate enough to live on the West Coast. I got to see Norman run in HS at Vista. My dad and I try to go to Cali every year for the track meets. He made those kids look silly out there. Caught him in Eugene too when him and Rai torched the field for USC in the 4X400
@@gmaxsfoodfitness3035 MJ 42.91 JW 42.93 are the only two to go under 43. JW ran better than 43.5 on relays 4 times. MJ only did it 3 times. JW is arguably the best relay runner of all time. A Michael Norman, Quincy Watts, Michael Johnson, and Jeremy Wariner would probably be the first sub 2.54 ever.
Glad to say I ran for the Golden Gophers, not on this relay team, but the 400 meters for the Gophs nonetheless.
WHOA this is just motivation for me love it!!!
Please...what is the music behind it? Awesome rhythms and chanting.
Love this race here!!!
@Barrangut
Thank you, appreciate the support. I plan to re-do it in higher quality and fix some things with it too.
Almost forgot to watch this today.
For those of you wondering what the music is it is from ENIGMA. I made this a long time ago. I need to re-do it in higher quality. I will do so soon.
I'm so happy that I found this video love'in it and please don't delate this video it's a beautifull race thx ;)
simply amazing
@TheCosmokramer1 Glad I could help! I hope to make more this Spring from the Drake Relays. The new ones will all be in high def too.
@BaylorSports I look forward to seeing them. Yes actually still have two of your videos saved, Michael Johnson's 1996 200m with enigma, and his 1996 400m with some other song.
Jeremy Wariner can FLY. Amazing 3rd & 4th leg.
Jay G. Darold Williamson is my uncle
I logged in just to give my respect to Jeremy. This is the BEST COMEBACK I've ever seen in my life apart from Guei in Euro 4x400 finals. It's unfortunate he lost to a drug user Merritt in Beijing Olympics 2008 and Berlin World Championship 2009. He's a Legend.
My favorite race of all time
thaksssssssssssssss i love this song!!!!!
OK...got it. THANKS. GREAT music.
Jeremy had a better 'leg' than Gisselle Bucheon there.
Wariner shows to run a third leg. Dramatic race.
the best 4*400 of all-time
Normally don't like music implanted in the video but I really like this one. What is this song?
@WayoftheSaiyan the first song i dont know, but de second song is smell og desire-enigma!!!!
Not sure how I screwed up the spelling of Darold's name and Wil Fitts first names!!
ASU had a 4 second lead before that baton drop on the second exchange. Woulda been interesting to see if Baylor could make that space up.
@egerish
I used the music from ENIGMA
Baylor still would have beat ASU. Go look at "Greatest anchor leg" video and see what happens. Arizona and LSU had a huge lead and guess what Williamson came back for the win. This race would have been the same even if Arizona had that lead.
astonishing
Commenting just for memories
u get those goosebumps 2
Man, my Golden Gophers looked great in that race. I wish Potter could have caught Baylor, but if you're not in the lead in the first 200 meters against a Baylor runner you have no shot.
Potter&Steele ran great legs
Name song?
@TheCosmokramer1 I will most likely be at NCAA Nationals this year at Drake in June too. Should have some good videos. Plus I have some good new music to use!
Man...this video hurts everytime I watch it.....ish happens though
Your leg was still good though. I wished that the class in front of yours won because that group was more talented, but you guys were more determined.
@Drumcoverforuppl that is mine too. Just another whole different gear.
It's the sunglasses.
smoooth
@MrRockDRock
I disagree, Jeremy Wariner would have taken the lead from anyone.
Someone sent me a message asking if ASU front loaded their relay. No. Their anchor leg, Banda, ran 44.58 in the open 400 that year.
jeremy wariner is bad ass, im wondering what his split time was, jeez.
43.9
gets my blood pumpin
The group is Enigma.
christ in heaven
YEYEY JWWW
what was this team's 4x400 the next year? jesus no one was a senior, they lost no one haha
At the time of the handoff ASU had a lead of 1-2 seconds over Minnesota(who didn't drop the baton) and Baylor dusted them...
More like 8/10ths of a second
I'm guessing Wariner woulda closed the gap on Domenik Peterson or pass him and Darold Willamson woulda caught ASU's anchor since he seems to run faster when he's pushed
@micbaca 43.9
The fo by fo
i wonder if arizona state would've won if they didnt drop the baton....
Everytime I watch this race I know the baton gets dropped but I always hope it doesn't. It would have been close but I know Darold couldn't have ran his leg chillin like he did right here he would have had to split 43 for them to get it.
I am glad you guys did what the class before you did not do (with the exceptions of Dwight and Marcus), break many school records.
@@beeemdee_ Yeah for sure because Marcus still holds the school record in the 100 at 10.09. Jerry Bright has the 200 at 20.29. But yeah they were all something else. They broke the indoor 4x400 collegiate record in 2004 at 3:03.43. We got both the 4x400 Outdoor and 4x100 Outdoor school records in 2005. 3:00.57 and 38.71. Such a great year to be there in 2005.
wtf -_- jeremy wariner and darold williamson .... do they have V tech built in their heart or something?
why the fuck is the music in the vid.....
+adza botchway great music!
@bbronston1
lol please
@micbaca 44.1
Why are people saying Arizona State had some ridiculous lead like 2-3 seconds (tramo14) and 4 seconds (napalm17)? Look at it again when they cross the line after catching the baton. The lead was less than one second. Baylor was winning that even without the drop. There's no way we'll know for sure, of course, but I really doubt ASU would have won that relay.
jbrumundsmith it was a 2 second lead, and baylor was on the very utside so they would have to cut in
l0l at the 1 dislike
they wouldnt have been able to.
go gophers white dudes woo minnesota!!!!!
Very unfortunate; this was ASU's race
With all due respect, if Arizona St doesn't drop the baton, Baylor doesn't come close to winning this race. Let's be real. ASU was a good 2-3 seconds or more up on the second place team and Baylor wasn't close. They were on pace to run 2:58.
More like 8/10ths of a second. Watch the clock as they cross the line.
Baylor would've still won. ASU was not on pace to break 3 mins LOL
ASU's fastest time that year was 3:01:51, which was also a school record.
thesundevils.com/sports/2004/4/3/207849248.aspx
@@user-ty5em5lh6g ASU actually ran 3:01.26 with out Lewis Banda at Pac 10 championships that year it would have been very interesting if that drop did not happen. ua-cam.com/video/F7JfcLrfkPk/v-deo.html however, we have always battled with Baylor at NAU, Drake and even the sun Angel classics. This race would have probable been a camera finish just like the track and field news where Jeremy accidentally fell
And I thought the 2001 battle at Drake was great.
