Damn those levers look snazzy, like some seriously top notch craftsmanship went into making them. He makes cases too right? I saw a sexy af CNC'd aluminum case a while ago on some Korean site, can't remember exactly.. but it had a hinged opening top with magnetic closure and some blue anodized sections, and it was ufghhngh beautiful.
yeah that's the one! I haven't seen many of his case, let alone in the wild, but yeah they're CNC Aluminum beauties. I want to grab one......but the price on them sumbitches is troublesome lol.
I know you keep saying it's all preference and I agree, but to be a bit objective, does the V5 feel better than the Knee level (or does the V3 feel better than the JLF) and does the quality of the construction actually enhance your gameplay in any way (whether it's just the pleasure of using it, or playing better)? Would love to hear your thoughts on that. It's all preference in the end, but quality is definitely appreciable I feel.
Unlikely tbh since phreakmod link has a much larger upper shaft even compared to sanwa, which will make contact with korean collar. It may fit but won't work since throw is too small.
Hey I really like your vids, they're a wealth of information. Btw what's your favorite lever? And how do you like the sanjuks v5 compared to the fujin (with the 7.8mm shaft)?
The fujin and V5 are pretty much my favorite levers so I like them for similar reasons. I like having freedom within the area of neutral so my trash hand movement don't bump into other inputs. I like the fujin longer throw but I like the overall grounded feel of the v5. My fujin is before the revision so I have the 7mm shaft so I cant really compare to the 7.8mm shafts. The V5 and Fujin are much my fave levers.
@@alexnostalgix I bought the fujin before the revision but when I saw them selling the 7.8mm I copped it and I prefer it over the 7mm. I am by no means a nub with the k levers but the throw was just a hair too much which threw off my kbd from 2p (sometimes I didn't let it return to neutral). I know you like that long throw but next time you order from ist, I highly recommend trying it out. And I decided I'm gonna cop the v5 too lol. Gonna request that full collar tho
Cool video, man! I have a Sanjuk V5 on the way and it suddenly hit me. Will it fit in my stick? Does it need a bigger hole or will it fit a Japanese style hole?
Does the V3 go deeper into the case than a JLF? If so, is it still shorter than a K-lever? I'm tight on space and can't fit a k-lever, and don't want to go through all the trouble of seeking one out only to find out it won't fit.
Hi, I noticed the grommet of the V6 was a 30a whereas the CDP one is a 35a. Can you feel a difference or would it be necessarry to swap the native one with the 35a?
@@alexnostalgix if you can get it and don't mind spending the money I recommend it. Would love to see a video on it. They where back in stock about a week or two ago
Hey I want to ask your recommendation of a good Korean stick for me. I am super interested but have yet to get to try one. I'm currently using the Otto v2 Korean dyi kit with a 60 G Gromit. A standard 1 lb sanwa spring. And the more rounder Square gate. And I absolutely love the feel of it. I blatantly prefer Square Gates over round Gates. And I like to try avoiding having to drill a larger hole in my stick. Lol. Thank you for your time and I absolutely love all your videos. :)
@@alexnostalgix I appreciate the reply! I actually watched all your videos yesterday and going to watch them all again today. Lol. I want to double check with your input because you were very knowledgeable on the subject matter. I have a hori PS4 Soul Calibur stick coming in and wanted to pick the right Korean stick for it. I think the 309 with a different set of micro switches should be what I'm looking for. I'll experiment. Lol. also you might enjoy checking out my UA-cam channel because I have some stuff on Arcade sticks and converters. anyway thank you for all the great content and I look forward to your future videos!

its apparently like 70 bucks, its shipping that kills apparently and availability....and if you can get in contact with bandit..... Only reason I don't know personally is because I bought mine all together and never asked how much for the individual parts.
Hey bro, I'm coming from the Japanese jlf and i have switched to the knee lever which i really liked recently i tried the v5 and i found it quite accurate but in contrary to what others say about the knee lever i found the sanjuks to be quite awkward to find the diagonal and preform stuff like the wavedash, i really found it awkward to a point i started thinking that i may have caused a bit of damage to it while installing it, therefore can you guess why that might be and what kind of differences it may have in comparison to the knee lever that may cause such problem? Thank you in advance and your channel is very informative.
comparing the v5 and knee lever are quite different beast however if the V5 has the "tekken" actuator that requires a deeper pull to the corner. The Knee lever to me, dont own it anymore so going off memory, had bigger corners than the V5 but overall I liked the feeling of the V5 over it and is now my main lever.
@@alexnostalgix thank you for your reply, so is there a certain actuator that i might install that might make it preform better? Is that what you are saying because i honestly didn't catch what you meant by a tekken actuator, my apologies in advance i don't have a solid background in the matter, i already appreciate the v5 but still found it awkward for my mishimas maybe because i put a lot of time into the knee lever.
You would have to buy an actuator set from Bandit from what I know. They call it the "tekken" actuator buts it is just a term for the smaller actuator, bigger deadzone and whether you prefer it or not would be up to you. I don't think it would perform "better" just may be able to give a more desirable feel. No worries about the background man, we all are learning lol.
Fantastic production quality, but you blurb too fast, man. Had to rewind multiple times to process the data you're spitting out. ETA Prime comes to my mind when considering articulation, he is a good example and is a joy to listen to. Keep up the good work, thanks for the vids!

I wonder what do you think about the Sanjuks v6 :3

I've known this song for years and never really had a name for it 😂. This was in all of my break beat mixes from a long while ago.
do you prefer Korean levers with largest dead zone or minimum dead zone ?
I like something more in the middle but I guess a smaller dead one is more my preference.

That black actuator is actually not the stock actuator for sanjuks. It's actually the tekken actuator and stock is white one.

what board was you using for swapping your levers out?
Where can i buy fujin mod?
How do Korean levers feel? Like closer to American stick or Japanese?
Hey Alex, is the Sanjuks V3 Lever compatible with the QANBA Dragon arcade stick?
what is the best brand of korean yoke?
The missing cable door on a hori rap n worries me a bit. Do they fall off as easily as rap 4?
Unfortunately I'm not sure as the one I had was a HRAP3 and I only had it for like two months. All doors break eventually tbh, if you use it often.
Alex Nostalgix Thanks! good to know
