How dare you... I am stupidly invested now... I've looked at Korean sticks over and over again, and what you're putting down seems to be exactly what I need. Granted the only grommet stick I've liked so far has been the otto V2 with the stainless steel spring delete mod. What you have so far with the octagon gate really piqued my interest. I think it's going to be perfect for a build I have in mind

My friend growing up dad was one of the best Mechanics in the u.s he had a z car just like that one..everyone thought it was some kind of old camaro..when we would tell them its a z car we would get the same question everytime, "wtf is a z " and why are you building an old Japanese car lol..BECAUSE IT WAS BADASS!
if you want it to based the name of your lever in G gundam maybe " Shining" or "Burning" Lever since its the name of Domon's Finisher for Shining and God gundam
holly crap i just realized i can fix my ghetto fight stick made out of a box a controller board and a $20 button kit with my p1p 3d printer. i can even make something for my beat games. thanks man i didnt even realize this was a option. side note have you modded or rebuilt buttons, mine are too squishy so im looking for good ideas for a 3d print fix. man this is going to be hard to get accurate in blender but im up for the challenge
Do you have a separate channel for your car stuff too dood? Lol literally have the same hobbies as you and a few more, keyboards, cars, fighting games, cards, and etc... it's just interesting to see like minded people having the same crossovers in shared hobbies and their takes and insights.
octogonal gates are a nice idea, but they do not work as you might think. unless there will be a stick with 8 microswitches. Only then will an octoganl gate work

Its cool if you don't but the only other project I've found for a 3d printed lever was some Australian one that I've never heard of before, and I've never tried a korean style lever.

@@adrianthomas4163 for prototyping I’m just using PLA mainly but trying others like PETG & ABS since I might end up with that as my final material maybe
@@alexnostalgix Keep in mind that PETG and ABS have different shrinkage amount. You can probably tune for this using the X-Y hole or contour compensation in Precision section of the Quality tab (I think I saw you're using Orca Slicer - but it might be the same in bambu). You'd probably only need to adjust by like .02mm or so - but to see what it does, you could change the setting to adjust by 2-3 mm and look at the preview.
The burning lever idea did give me an idea for my lever. Iron blooded lever… Korean lever made entirely out of cast iron… taking my Tekken back to the Middle Ages!
@@KetsubanSolo Aluminum is a hell of a lot easier to melt than iron. Do it! I’ll probably do an aluminum run first for just that reason. Hard part is going to be making sand molds off of a Fujin 3 lol
