Hey coach Justin whenever I get into the box I’m always ahead of the fastball and find myself lunging out towards the ball with no power. What are some drills I can do to keep my weight back and to wait for the ball to come to me?
Hey coach Justin, I have a question about a drill you mentioned from another video. The overload underload drill. How long does it take of you consistently doing the drill to start to increase over time?
Thanks Justin from San Diego. My 12 year old crushes it in travel against average pitchers. Guys with plus stuff give him fits because he tries to speed things up. I mention it to him but sometimes, youngsters just have to hear it from others. Great reinforcement! Go Pack Go.
Hey Coach Justin! I was wondering if you could give me some encouraging words because I'm moving up to hs baseball and I'm kinda small for a highschooler and the baseball team is freshman through senior so all grades of hs are on that team and also new coaches so that's always nerve racking to see if they like you or not. Thanks
@Edgar Vasquez Dude thanks that really opened my eyes if the only thing I'm scared about is missing a routine ground ball which I usually don't but still gets to me
I have a kid in my leauge who throws about 60 miles per hour. His mechanics are perfect, he throws strikes every single pitch and has a great curveball. I am 11 how should i approach those at bats.
@@rslwannabe9475 It had a pretty big bruise but didn’t break. I’m only 13 so the ball wasn’t going all that fast. I would say maybe 65 mph. The funny part is that it was one of my friends that hit me.
Thank you so much this helped me a lot this kid was throwing 75mph yesterday and I was scared but I hit a homer today off the same kid.Thankyou so mucj
Same when I’m thinking about getting a perfect swing and thinking about all the mechanics in a swing, I tend to strikeout but when I don’t think about it I hit way better

Thanks so much
Thanks playing baseball this year for my high school
Awesome video, man! I just got back into playing baseball after years of softball. Been a steep re-learning curve. Your videos help a lot!
After years of softball? I’m confused. How come you switched
It really annoys me how he always has that tee but never hits the ball of it😂
Nice Video Coach Justin. What drills can I do to help me make the high school team?

I am in middle school and I have a hard time finding a good accurate fastball grip is there anyway you could pls make a video to help me with that?
Outstanding as usual...!
Love that mentality about getting ready for the fastball anytime, then try to slow down, only when off speed appears 🤩
That's brilliant 😎
All much needed info justin great for all ages thank you.😷😷😷
I also need some help with good catching drills

Thank you I’m on my moms account but I get very intimidated by fast pitchers and this helped a lot
Great video

Do u still post? I’m new
Sounds like this would help my fastpitch softball player
I had a babe ruth game the other day we are used to around 55-70 and a kid came in throwing high 80 like 88-89 and only one kid made contact all game

I wish I knew this my freshman year of high school, I was on varsity going against mid 80s to low 90s for the first time.
Wtf
I always am scared of fast pitch because in little league like me not many people can aim well and I get hit
the only time i am scared of fast pitching is when the pitcher hits multiple people before me
Fr
@@rslwannabe9475 Yeah. I got hit in the knee last year pretty bad and I was a little scared for the next few games. Thankfully I’m back to normal now.

hi
I once had a pitcher who when he warmed up was in the mid 70‘s and then my first pitch he threw me a mid 90‘s and I was like shit bro relax
lmao
For a good fastball pitcher, time your swing off the wind up, not the release.
Coach Justin. I’m scared of fast pitching
Commet to the pitcher
I get scared because I always get hit by fastballs
Bruh Idk if this is a good thing but I feel like when I’m not thinking about it I’m better
