Psychological symptoms of perimenopause include:
Mood swings: Mood swings, irritability, and tearfulness are common during perimenopause.
Depression: Depression is common during perimenopause, and the risk increases during the transition. Symptoms include crying a lot, feeling hopeless or worthless, and losing interest in activities.
Anxiety: Some women report anxiety during perimenopause, which can involve constant worrying that interferes with daily life. Symptoms include muscle tension, sweating, or nausea.
Low self-esteem: Feelings of low self-esteem are common during perimenopause.
Reduced motivation: Reduced motivation or interest in things is a common symptom of perimenopause.
Panic attacks: Panic attacks can be a symptom of perimenopause.
Brain fog: Poor concentration, often described as "brain fog", is a common symptom of perimenopause.
Sleep problems: Many women experience problems sleeping during perimenopause.
These symptoms are caused by hormonal shifts, particularly estrogen, that affect the brain and other major organ systems. They can arise suddenly and unexpectedly, and can be disruptive to normal functioning.
You should see your ob-gyn regularly and discuss how you are feeling. Treatment options are available.
Thank you for sharing this!🙏🏾

Great video Patience! Not enough of us are having these conversations. I’m definitely in full blown menopause I believe. Thank you for starting the conversation.

@@donnaharwood3925 yes she still have not seek help. And when we were married she had the best insurance. I was staff at the us embassy and retired US military. But that’s how goad work. For my kids sake I hope she do. It was hard watching here lock hereself in the bathroom and stay in the walking closet. She never come to bed before 3 am. So she definitely had lack of sleep. They check here blood and she had low iron count. But when she came to the states after being deported from London she change here real age so the doctors was puzzled so they could not treat here properly. She was 54 saying she is 44 so they didnot suspect menopause and she did not and refuse to tell here real age. There is so many good treatment out there
Thanks for sharing your experience and being honest on a topic that has been taboo for the longest.
I’m happy you did the video. I’m recently divorced my wife. After she was going through it for about 8 years. I ask here to see here doctor she refused at that time she was forgetful and allot of mood changes dryness and became very controlling and sad. But after 5 years of pleading I told here if she don’t get help I would leave plus she had a daughter before me that was disrespectful and physically aggressive towards me. Any way I filed for divorce and after 2 years it was finally over. She has kept my two kids from seeing me and she lies allot. Yes she is Ghanaian so I kept the land I had in Ghana and she got my 1.1 millions dollars home in the us. I had lost allot but I’m good with things. There is some good solution ie estrogen replacement or what I have seen work is get off of white sugar reduce inflammation by changing your diet I love that you told your story.
Most of your forgetful nis could be lack of sleep or snoring. Stay away from anything that has corn sugar like soda pop. Etc. I hope to be in Ghana soon I’m praying for you and your husband
I can see the frustration in your expression. This is only for a season. I was very supportive when my x went through it. It’s things you can do to reduce inflammation like turmeric ginger and Kian peppers mix it together or juice it and take a shot glass every other day. I have been told it reduces hot flashes and allot of the symptoms my aunts are in their 102 to 90 it’s 4 of them and they use that old time healing
It's a shame your wife didn't seek help, which has ultimately caused the end of your marriage. I have come to realise over the years that many marriages end up breaking down because of lack of understanding of this natural process in a woman's life. This is the main reason for doing this video topic so both parties can extend some grace to each other during this time 🙏🏽
Definitely lack of sleep. Remain blessed 🙏🏽
@ronaldhaynes2648 👍🏽
Thanks for circling back on this subject Patience! I’m 45 and feeling the effect on and off so I completely understand. (I might also post on this subject) it is an important subject😂, I had no idea what was wrong with me which was scary. Praying you’ll continue to improve ❤
Thank you.🙏🏽
Yes, please do post about this also! It will help others. I am in a much better place with it now, but when I meet other women, I can see that they are going through it, but they haven't quite figured out what is going on with themselves. These videos help.
I’m building in Aburi
Aburi is so beautiful. Well done 👌🏽
You just said when you was 40, my god so what is your age??? You look young!!
