I have a Wen GN400i that I use for my camper. Powers everything and is great. I am looking at upgrading though to one of the super quiet models as I’m tired of hearing it. It’s quieter than a traditional generator but louder than the super quiet models. I installed my own extended run kit and off my 12 gallon tank will run it for a few days straight.
Just bought the WEN. Waiting on delivery. Been wanting this generator for about a year now, but every time I thought about buying it-out of stock. Looked on Amazon today and low and behold in stock! Finally got it!
@Yaniel Valdes Thank you for your kind feedback! We have so much fun making videos and glad to hear they are helpful! We love to give back to others! Thank you for watching our video and for your support! 🤩
I am probably going to buy one of the current models. I think you have convinced me dual fuel is the way to go and your experience with this one seems positive. Want it to be able to power our travel trailer while we work on developing our property. Not full time by any means just on the weekends during the winter here in Florida. Probably wont need AC so much in the winter but may need it from time to time.
@davva360 We definitely recommend this generator and we have not had any issues at all. You should be good for the weekends! Thanks for watching & congratulations on your property! 🤩
Enjoy the review. This convinced me to get the duel fuel over the straight gas. We are from Arkansas and go down to camp around Fredericksburg and Kerrville areas to see our son a couple times a year.
@B W So happy to hear our review has helped your decision! The Fredericksburg & Kerrville are is so beautiful. We were just talking about going to Arkansas soon and camping. Do you have any recommendations of places you really like? Thank you for watching our video. We would appreciate your support by subscribing to our channel! 🤩
Just Bought and Received mine because of your last video. Love the auto fuel switch over and ordered it from the wen site and two days later it arrived on my porch. The Wen site had the cheapest price other well known sites had it a $100 - $200 more. I do not RV but want to keep my sump pump and some other things power supplied during outages so my plan is to use this with a Bluetti AC 300 for night time running. Thanks for taking the time for the video and the yearly update, makes me feel good about my decision to purchase this unit.......Have a Good One!! John

great post thank you ...just a quick question ... any tips on moving this thing around ? seems pretty heave ? I know it has wheels but how about into truck ect ?
@Rob Smith Thank you for watching our video and taking time to comment! It weighs 100 lbs so it might take two people to get in the truck depending on your strength. It’s easy to move around with the handles outside. 🤩
WEN is The Best Bargain In Inverter Generators , Generac & Champion are Just Way Over Priced There all 3 the same Generator with just different Names on them & Price Tag !
@Jacob Hernandez Yes! We are able to get a full night without refueling. We notice each time we boondock that when we wake up, it starts getting low but we have always had a full night on one tank of gas! 🥳 Thank you for watching! 😄
Thanks for the review, I watched your first review and have watched and read lots of information about generators/inverters. Looks like a WEN is going to be in the future.

@FinCityFL Thank you for watching & taking time to comment! Half load run time is 8.5 hours on gas & 9 hours on propane. Gas is 2.2 gallons, propane is a 20 pound tank. Please let us know if you have any additional questions! 🤩
You guys are awesome! I’m looking at purchasing this Wen DF400i for dry camping. Our travel trailer has the Coleman Mach 15,000 btu A/C. I’ll be adding the Easy Start/Soft Start to the A/C. I’m trying to get a feel for runtime on generator. Can you provide your fuel consumption seen when running your A/C? How many minutes will it run before refueling? Additionally, will it switch over from propane to gasoline while under A/C load? Thank you!
@Ram Cummins12 We can run it over night on a full tank of gas with AC on, specs say it will run 8.5 hours @ 50% load on a full tank of gas and 9 hours @ 50% load on 20 pound tank of propane. It will switch from propane to gas if the propane runs out but we haven’t tested it under ac load yet. The easy start is a great mod, especially since you are running the 15000 BTU AC. Thanks for watching our video and we would appreciate your support by subscribing to our channel if you haven’t already! 🤩
Great review! I bought one on sale at Amazon for $659! Such a good deal and love the genny. Question: What hose did you buy for the low pressure quick connect? It looks like the LPG input is a 5/8" flare fitting, and I have not been able to find ANY quick connect hose with that fitting size. If you can tell me what you used, that would be awesome! Thank you!!
@Jim Cavanaugh We used the following hose that we purchased on Amazon: EXCELFU Propane Elbow Adapter Fitting with Extension Hose 12Ft RV Quick-Connect Kit for Blackstone 17"/22" Griddle Thanks for watching our video and we hope you have subscribed to our channel! 🤩
@@michaelcisneros8557 - now it looks like the DF450i is $726 on Amazon and $677 on the Wen site, and the DF451i is $702 on the Wen site and has an electric start! But the model in this video is either sold out or much pricier, not sure why.
I purchased the 4000 W dual fuel they did not give a screw in type oil funnel, which other generator manufacturers give to you. To get to the spark plug you have to pull two tiny screws that you'll lose instead of some kind of a snap panel. The oil drain hose is pathetic. Godzilla must have put the spark plug in because their tool was bent trying to get it out. The propane operation is rather expensive for the few hours of operation, you would be better off sticking with the gas even at $5 a gallon. The big foldable handle is nice. Since it's electric start they should have included a FOB for remote start. But then the choke is manual via the switch. Now it will be put to the test running 12 hours a day everyday, month after month. If it holds up like my other two generators, than an update report will be given. Meanwhile it lacks the maintenance conveniences as mentioned. It is reasonably quiet and it could be even quieter.
@@OutsidebySide Roger...It will be put the test. There is also one other problem it doesn't have a gas gauge. If you don't measure the fuel or estimate what you need to top off the fuel tank, then you're going to spill fuel all over the place. Forget any warranty since what you will pay for labor, would be better to just go towards buying a new generator. My main concern is how long will it last.
I got the spark plug out and it was pretty fouled for less than 100 hours operation. You should remind people they need to clean the spark plug and dump the oil every 50 hours. I recommend an oil which has a high heat range which will last a little longer.
