Very cool! I've been searching UA-cam to figure out how to use the nebia shower wand attachment (without the rest of the pricey nebia shower system) I think you may have cracked the code with the fittings! The thought stimulation was appreciated!! Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Really helpful video, what size timber frame studs have you used? I’m getting to this stage myself and I’m worried about the size of the cavity required to fit the mixer fittings
Great job as always. Love it, but I don’t think you need to use both, tap and plumbers mate just one of them. If you use the tap, use only two lines .not sure which way you should turn it, look it up, it is either same way as the thread or opposite way.
Thanks! Yeah It seems every plumber has a different opinion on tape only or dope only or both lol. I went with both just to be safe haha. I made sure to put the tape on clockwise so it tightens as it screws in. We'll see soon enough if it worked haha.
that video was really helpful - and thanks for the backing plate link..... i was scratching my head. what size batton did you use on the shower framing?
Hey Berry! Glad you found it helpful I been scratching my head about it too for a while. The shower battens are 34mm x 34mm, you can find it in BnQ or Wickes - I put a link in the description.
Interesting and informative build. Thank you. What will you be doing to stop water pooling on the plastic ledge the toilet's standing on? The joining strip obviously has a hump in it so there doesn't seem to be any way of allowing water to drain off that there (I assume the hole that's there is for the ventilation duct from the loo rather than another plughole, but I may be wrong).
Hey Nicholas! Good question, it's something that we been thinking about too. I'm not sure, we are hoping that most of the water will fall in the shower tray and only a small percentage / spray will get to that area, not enough to pool too much. The PVC floor is on a small decline towards the tray so if we do get some pooling it'll be near the strip and should be easy to to push into the shower tray after a shower. Yes the 2nd hole is a vent duct for the loo which will get PVC boxed up (including wiring on the side of loo) I have some ideas for workarounds if it becomes a major problem (not as neat as you'll see silicone joints) but for now we will go with this and see how it works out ! Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Thanks Matt ! No, we don't plan on installing a fan. We will have heating run to it and we will leave a gap above the full sliding door for the steam to escape. Our max air fan is very close to the shower so I don't think we will need one, especially with pretty short showers 😆. We will see, can always add one later if its a problem but I think it should be ok
@@CasLaz which one is doing the review??? 👀 Your building a smart multi-purpose van, I don't like fixed beds too much room wasted!!! Top van!!!! Well thought out!!!
@@nasty.nick.p Will do, we are taking a bit of break as work been really busy, we made some small progress on the van so we'll do an update video soon! :) Thanks for watching !
This is super helpful! We're doing our shower/bathroom in the coming week or so, and this helped with a lot of question marks 🙌

@@CasLaz ha ha, you know more than I do by the looks of it. Fingers crossed it will work!
What did you use to glue the shower walls in? And then what did you use to seal the seams?
