Hey guys, I’ve done basically the same upgrade here with processors, but I have 4x 8gb sticks and the system came up with an error stating not enough power. I have the 570w PSU, so was wondering how you bypassed that issue? I’m running the latest BIOS as well A19 I think, but I thought I’d just upgrade to the 870w
In our next video we go into some specifics about what happened to our T-610. It didn't make it unfortunately and now acts as a nice mount to set our R710 on top of. We had some voltage regulator issues that were more expensive to fix than buying another machine outright.
@@BuenaVistaBros well my original plan was to use it as a Chia Farmer, but with the power issue I was going to use it as a Plex Server, which is how I found this video.
@@donovannewton9507 Well watch the rest of them and see if there is anything else that piques your interest. We have details on the plex server setup process.
Maybe lose the randomness and take the video a bit more seriously. I like the idea of repurposing old hardware and I see positional in this YT channel. I'm just finishing up my 24TB plex, and the virtualization server. I just got this exact T610 server from work and wondered if I should use it instead of my custom server I'm working on rn. Interested in what you guys end up doing with yours.
Thanks for the view and the input! We at BuenaVista want to demystify the concept of IT for the everyday viewer with comedy while making sure that the main idea of our tips and builds are understood by our more seasoned viewers. Next week we will go over some of the problems that we encountered with the T610. Our video format, however, will continue to be semi-satirical. We will make sure to include more concrete facts in our videos and descriptions as well. Check out our build intro where we discuss the parts we used in our server. ua-cam.com/video/OawDizdncvk/v-deo.html Detailed specs are found in the description as well. Again, thank you for constructive criticism!
I really like this style of videos. I can't wait to see what you keep on doing
I'm about to do the same power supply fan mod. Did you ever get yours working with the Noctua 60 mm fan?
DON'T DO IT
