- Welcome to my small condo kitchen.
My roommate, Sierra, and I are both completely paralyzed and use wheelchairs full time, which leads some to believe that this tiny kitchen wouldn't work. But it does, very well.
From using baskets to store things on taller shelves and still be able to reach the back to removing lower cupboard doors to save floor space and allow a closer reach with your knees in the cabinet, we make it work.
1:00 - Upper cabinets
1:30 - Mason jar storage - I also use the smaller mason jars for things like sugar in the pantry, so you don't always have to dig into the bag and make a mess
1:40 - Spice rack
2:08 - Lower cabinets with the doors removed. This allows for me to pull very close with my wheelchair to help with reaching to the rear of the counter or up into the upper cabinet as well as we don't have to worry about ruining them, or opening and closing, being in the way.
2:33 - Lower corner cabinet
2:45 - Over the range microwave - how to get extra height to for a longer reach
3:16 - Regular stove/range
3:30 - Upper cabinet glass storage
3:53 - Corners on top of the counter
5:04 - Large lower cabinet drawers - plates & pots & pans (with more pans and baking sheets in the drawer underneath the oven)
5:24 - The pantry

I have a tiny kitchen too and also in a wheelchair. 🙌🏻 There are definitely some perks to small kitchens. Easier to clean!

Great to see you on UA-cam again ! Would love to see some workouts from you 😅 I became paralyzed in 2020 (L1) and like you, was in the gym a lot. I’m still lifting and stuff but notice that there’s not a lot of women in wheelchairs that I see on UA-cam, lifting weights, working out etc. take care lady 💗

I am also in a wheelchair( from Langley ). On of the best things I use is a Kalorik oven . So much easier to get into then a regular over cause it had french doors or better access.

coffee grinding is definitely not old school, it's the cool way to go! I ground my beans every day and use a pour over coffee pot.

Was wondering if you can direct me to the video you made a while back, it was the review on a bunch of products from the Netherlands.
I’m getting my first manual wheelchair in a few weeks ( I’ve used a power chair for years) and need a under the seat bag. I remember how good the quality of those products and thought I’d look at getting one.
Also you’ve encouraged me to get into a wheelchair exercise class, I’m doing a Boxercise class three times a week for an hour workout and loving it.
