awesome video, the drone shots and editing look great. looking forward to future videos as well. I think you made an excellent engine choice, n/a induction and a healthy increase in power but not crazy power will compliment the original purpose for the Miata extremely well.
GREAT Video!! I learn something new about the Miata and something interesting about your build with every video. The drone intro and music - dude!!! Nice! I couldn’t be more excited for the next episode!!!! K-Swap!!!!
Exciting k swap! Not that it matters if youre swapping the engine, but on the current bp4w setup, if youre still running MAF on the aftermarket intake (which looks like you are), the valve cover vent should have a hose connected to the intake instead of the little cone filter. Assuming you are running the factory ecu, it isnt getting the full atmospheric meausrement since your MAF is not aware of that connection anymore. Could be costing you a couple ponies.
Hey thanks for the info! I actually had everything I needed to hook the vent hose back up and never got around to it then decided to do the engine swap.
Funny story -- I came across this vid from your fuel pump video since... I also have a black 99 Miata, withe same Harddog M1 rollbar, all blacked out like yours, AND my name just happens to be Brad! Pretty funny. Anyway, enjoyed your video, gave me some ideas. And, I'm interested to see the engine ur swapping in.
Ive been subscribed for about a year and funny thing is today i actually saw a k swaped miata with itbs and put up the thought of k swapping my 95. Will you be keeping ac? And you should try to document everything that goes into it would help alot of people.
Sure do. I talk about it more here: IRP Shifter Review and Shift Boot Install - NB Miata ua-cam.com/video/SKlOlnHUXMY/v-deo.html That said, Miata’s aren’t exactly quite rides, especially with the top down, so it doesn’t bother me at all.

Oh man, thanks so much for the kind words. My goal with the K24 was USABLE power. We shall see!
That drone footage is AMAZING. What an intro!! 🤘
Haha thanks bro!
Looking forward to this swap series!
It’s going to be so much fun!
Carter with the sick drone shots

Deleting A/C at first. There’s an electric A/C option I may add later.
Thanks for watching!
I'm jdm-dumb, what's the engine?
@edeverick23 K24. Will break it all down in the next video!
@bradscarmods just now seeing this and I done some research and realized a turbo would be my best option
Nothing wrong with a turbo at all!
Do you have any rattle sound from your IRP shifter?
Sure do. I talk about it more here: IRP Shifter Review and Shift Boot Install - NB Miata
