went down a rabbit hole on a number of your videos today, all really well done, btw. as my beloved astro a50 gen 3 have finally succumbed after 4 solid years, i’ve been looking for a replacement and have tried many in the past few months, currently trying nova 7x and stealth 700 gen 2 max - like the sound on both but prefer the powerful sound of the turtle beaches, but the comfort on the novas. i also like the added functionality of each, especially bluetooth, and eq support, and always look for wireless bs wired. but since the battery died, i have been using the a50’s wired now and am finding i might be okay with going that route. my question is am i missing out on sound quality from something like the h6pro or pc38x over the novas or turtle beaches? because if the wired are that much better, i think i could live without the bells and whistles of the wireless variety. thanks in advance and happy gaming my friend, cheers from the mile high city!

Hello. Here’s the truth: Sound is subjective. So, even though the H6PRO is award winning, EPOS’ best selling headset, and beloved by so many , including me, doesn’t mean you’ll like it. I will tell you this - it’s worth finding out for yourself. I was where you are now. I chose the wired route, because Astro’s A50’s wasn’t cutting it for me anymore, and TB was just too poor quality. Unless you are serious about being number one on the score board of your favourite FPS game, stick with your beloved Astro. But if you want to take your game to the next level, you need to try some wired headsets: H6PRO, TYGR 300 R, HD 560S, Arctic Nova 1. There’s no right or wrong path. Just find a headset that suits your need, and don’t be afraid to experiment. Just make sure the headsets you try have a return policy.

Hello Troy, it will be very interesting for me to know what you think about these vs Monopricce Retro.
I am searching for immersive headphones for single player story mode games ( with good bass ).
I am thinking buying these or GSP 600 ( I have H6Pro closed but some say that GSP 600 are better than h6pro for other non-competitive games)

My review on the Retro won’t come out until the first week of January.

Son is having issues with this and wondered if you could guide him with this for the ps5 for the 700 max gen 2. He can’t even get it to set up or charge . Do you still have yours or maybe could answer a few ?s . Trying to find a set up out of the box to the ps5 and how to charge and what you should see as it charged and can’t find that so trying to see if we got a bum one or he’s just not doing it right . Thanks for any info

I did not keep the Stealth 700 Gen 2. As alluded too in my video, I don't trust Turtle Beach. They've always had quality control issues. Even my copy had something rattling in the left ear cup. By the sounds of it, you have a lemon. Return it.

It was a gift I have no receipt and there was no warranty. What verbiage would you use? And with that money back what would you recommend in that price range instead ?

@@lowo1711 You can contact TB support for this. It should still be covered under their warranty. You just need to provide an approximate date of purchase as well as a serial number. I've had the 700 Gen 2 for PS5 and sounded great, but 2 years later couldn't connect to it. On their reddit page there seems to be a lot of problems with TB quality control as well as software problems.

I noticed the same thing too on the max! The audio is a little bit lower on PlayStation.

The Playstation doesn't have the power to optimally drive high-impedance headsets, and it seems to struggle with USB powered headsets. Nothing beats a 32 ohms, wired, headset on the PS.

I picked up the xbox version of the Stealth gen2 max as it was supposed to also work on the ps5,which it does BUT im convinced the ps5s firmware loads up a different sound profile for 3rd party headsets.
The Stealth Gen 2 max sound quality was fantastic on the Series x,the volume was just a tad lacking but everything came through very nice and had some good bass.a much better sound then my Lucidsound lx35.
Switch over to the ps5 and all of the bass disappears with the headset turning into a tin can even with turning off the 3d audio.
I especially noticed this during Resident Evil village on the psvr2.omg the gun shots sounded like complete ASS!! My astro a10s STOMPED these, and my logitech g933 was a whole another level but those are very Fatiguing to listen to.
It seems the ps5 doesn't play nice with usb headsets, while i hear most everyone praising the Pulse 3d set and i think Sony is playing some software games with these headsets to try and push people into buying sony sets.

I have a set of Razer kaira pro for ps5 coming in,and if those don't sound good i am going wired with either a steelseries gamedac or mix amp pro with either a set of a40s,EPOS H6PRO,or PC37x cause ya need good sound while in vr..
My a10s are comfortable, have decent bass and fantastic imaging, but aren't that loud from the psvr2 set and i have no way to bring up the mids and highs.

Can you use the ps4/ps5 version on pc without problems?

    • @District.24
      @District.24  Рік тому

Turtle Beach does not say the Stealth 700 Gen 2 PS4/PS5 version works on PC. There's no mention of the PC in their promotional material for this headset.

Like I said before, Turtle Beach is not a brand I would buy for myself anymore, because of a history of quality control issues. I do appreciate what they’ve done with the 700 2nd gen though.
