- When I was a young lad, I got my dirty hands on a trial version of Flash 5.
This was the first animation I made, and shows how I taught myself the program. Everything in the video is mouse drawn, and therefore looks the way it does. (That can also be attributed to my then lack of decent artistic skills and broken english.)
Anyhow, the animation was never finished, and would have gone on to have protoman saving megaman from zero and bringing him back to dr.light, where he and dr. wily worked together to build X. X would go back and defeat Zero and then find out that dr.Wily infected him with the Zero virus, thus forcing dr.Light to seal X in the capsule until the virus had been cleansed from him.
This was my Idea at the time to try to tie together the classic series with the X series. Remember this was a loooong time ago.
I don't remeber where i found the song, but it was added later.
2024 edit The song is "Megaman Zero 1: Zero Theme." by Mega Man Zero: Remastered Tracks".

Yeah, glad I am not the only one who noticed that. To be fair, even Capcom gets the alignment of the robot masters wrong.

Great animation, but Zero Wouldn't have the shoulder armor or beam saber. He got them as an upgrade in X2.

This is actually extremely well done, and the fact that you taught yourself AND it's all mouse-drawn is mindboggling. I'd love to see this finished and with some voice acting to match.

Wily never really finished Zero in his lifetime. Serges was one of the robots that Wily uploaded his mind into, and Serges finished/recreated Zero as Wily meant him to be.

For being one of the first flash animations you did as a young lad, it still looks pretty clean and slick

Wow, this is a neat piece of work! Of course, some stuff is sorta off but its mostly cause of the actual canon story. Animation-wise, nicely done :)
Poor Metalman, he was one of the badasses of the series along with protoman, then Zero came along

+Ethan Barlow Look at Bass's ending to Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters. Look closely at what Wily shows that Bass calls "girly". Seem familiar? Yeah, it's Zero. But! Look closer. Remember how in X1 he didn't have square shoulder pads? In that design, he does. This means that Dr. Wily planned for Zero to have square pads, maybe even a Z-Saber! (I need to stop reiterating Dookieshed's video. Check it out for more details.)
+Dustin Rush I see your point, but! Zero gets his z zaber from sigma. (before or after x1 I can't really put pin on it, it showed zero battling sigma, and sigma has the z zaber in the flash back of x4, but even so sigma had a z zaber at the final fight from x1. either way Zero gets the z zaber from sigma. Therefore zero gets it between x1 and x2.
Ethan Barlow You're missing something. Zero self-destructs to destroy Vile's Ride Armor near the end of X1. Therefore, he's dead... But I'm not done! He's in 3 pieces in X2, and you have to beat the X-Hunters to get his parts back. His body part has the square shoulder pads, and he has a Z-Saber when he is rebuilt, either by X or by Sigma. If you collect all 3, you get to skip the Zero fight and go straight to the Sigma battle.
+Dustin Rush (who else made a traumatic 'nooooo!' when he died?) and yes you are right... but that narrows the choices down, *wait* *a* *minute!!!* what if the x hunters raided that old base from x1 and found the z zaber and it came with one of the three body parts... but that is hard to believe because the base went down in the ocean... it could've washed up on shore however.

X is 1 century (100 years) after the Classic series. 1 century after the X series, is the Zero series. Then later is the ZX series. The alternate universe is Battle Network, and Starforce.
The one where he wakes up and Dr.Wily is telling him to go kill "him". Zero saids "Who are you?".

I wasn't the first person to say this and I won't be last, but Zero never killed Any Robot Masters. The Robots in classic era were just.. scrapped.
That said, I loved this animation, despite Robots bleeding I really liked it. The expression and all. Can I ask you how much time did it took you to make this?
Pretty simple MEGA FANS....since NOBODY, including Kenji Inafume, had explained us WHAT HAPPEND between classic and X series, this video unites a lot of possibilities...in fact, I desire that it must be finished...but the explanation is clear...

if u play all MMX story, mostly from MMX4 i belive, it show that the Z saber was obtain when zero almost killed sigma, when sigma was a maverick hunter. the battle between sigma and zero causes sigma to get the virus Zero had. and zero lost his memory somehow. And that battle happen before MMX

I've played X4 and completed it, both stories. Zero's crystal was shattered if I recall, and he fell unconcious. And note that Sigma's saber is more like a traditional lightsaber than Zero's katanasaber.

#1: Zero did not have a Z-Buster or a Beam Sabre when he was first created. #2: All of those robot masters (including Base) where long gone by the time Zero was made. #3: Dr. Wily has that control mechanism were a W appears on Zero's forehead and paralyzes him. #4: No sound affects? Really? #5: It's pretty ok if you don't try to poke holes in it like I just did. :D
Why the fuck do people care if this is canonical or not? Of course it isn't; Zero wasn't anything but plans in his only classic series appearance. And just so you guys know, in MM2: The Power Fighters, he did appear with a saber slung on his back and his MMX2 form.
