Whoever is going to be pumping these videos out every day in addition to all the stuff you're working on. I salute you and thank you for your work. Can't wait for the bread podcast to talk about all these detachments.
@@surtrpicksThere are several cases in novels, where it is described, that clouds of flies decend on the imperials and suddenly plague marines appear within the clouds. Sure, they are not sneaking around in the classic stealth kind of way, but hiding in a cloud of flies is the same, imo.
Nauseating Paroxysms is great because it triggers in either fight phase, so you can use it in their fight phase to ensure that they are unable to use stratagems for your entire turn
I hope that we will also get something soon. Don't get me wrong TS is very strong in this eddition but we are als (no pun intended) left in the dust at the same time.
The full heal is gonna be absolutely disgusting no matter which character gets it. I feel like the only reason it won't cost more than 40 points is that it's restricted to infantry only...imagine a Demon Prince with that. It'd be like fielding a cheaper Mortarian
Small request, and maybe too much to ask on such short notice, perhaps finish each video with a quick thought about how strong you feel the army will be?
Depending on who’s covering the detachment, I’m sure some of those thoughts will come out. I intend to give a final thought on power level with my ones :) 🕷️
I hope chaos knights get a good buff, it would be nice to have a detachment for bringing bigger knights instead of relying on wardog spam. Hope it's on par with this one🤞
While this is a cool detachment and fun for running a horde of Terminators or Plague Marines, the existing one is just super powerful! Nice to get some new detachments, can we expect a daily video in December? 😅
My biggest concern (and this was my concern as soon as it was added in the Battle Dataslate), with this detachment you lose access to the "pick a plague" portion of the index detachment (meaning you're losing either -1 save or -1 WS/BS) which is really hard to pass up. I'm excited to give the new one a shot but I'm worried that it just doesn't provide enough in comparison to -1 save
It’s an interesting one. This does very much lean into mass infantry and therefore a different play style. Don’t forget all infantry gains stealth so -1 at range is a definite factor to consider.
@@chaoslordbeard oh 100%, I'm saving my actual judgement for after I've gotten some games in with it, but it is something to acknowledge. I'm looking forward to blightlords *maybe* being useable for once this edition lmao
That's the exact same thing I fear for Votann. Their detachment ability is so essential to them working properly that I can't for the life of me think of something I woul trade that for as long as they don't somehow rewrite the army rule.
Garbo, losing sticky objectives and contagions and the arguably much much better strats in the other detachment. The enhancements are also arguably worse, the only one worthwhile is rejuvenating plagueviel is too overpriced to be useful, deep strike makes it a waste of points. Even at 10 points it's arguably overcoated in this edition. Honestly the strats and removal of sticky objectives and contagions to sell infantry models has me triggered.
It's really not I play DG and will 100% be sticking to the index detachment, I don't want to give up sticky objectives, infected objectives and most importantly -1 sv or -1 ws/bs... That's not even going into the strats which again are better in the index All the index strats work on DG units these are all Only infantry so again worse
@@Anarki_88in my opinion, sticky OBJs need to be part of the army rule. Because you know when the DG codex comes out that detachment is gonna get gutted and turned into multiple weaker detachments
It looks strong at first sight. But after the 5" scout move, Death Guard are back to being a pretty slow ass army and I feel like just being in a Rhino still gets Plague Marines across the board faster and with more survivability. Plus, the strats feel very situational. On the other hand, without Rhinos, you have room for a bunch more Plague Marines, no idea if that evens out.
@@Anarki_88that’s the army rule not the detachment. Currently, death guard doesn’t have a detachment. Pretty sure the aura isn’t going a way as one of the stratagems referenced contagion range. It should be similar to how all space marines have oath of moment and then detachment rules.
You can tell very quickly who's actually a death guard player and who's not by their reaction this. This Detachment is borderline unplayable, it doesn't even come CLOSE to our index Detachment. Every single enhancement, strategem, and even the Detachment Rule in the form of cultists, we already have in the index.
I don’t think this is an unplayable Detatchment 😅 it’s VERY different to the Index Detatchment and encourages mass infantry and mass Blighthaulers. If you’re talking competitive play - 3x3 Blighthaulers, 60 plague marines with Stealth and Scouts 5, Blightlords become usable and Deathshroud and poxwalkers are better too. I wouldn’t count it out.
@@fateweaver9844 I'll wait and see if another set of 6th, 7th, and 9th or AoS 1.0 formations; because if they are, then it's just another railroad to overshadow other profiles and whittle away at an already thin list of choices.

40K has been a little dry lately so we feel a duty to cover these and hope they all bring something fun to the game!
Content for the content god!
This new detachment is so cool in my opinion! It's very in keeping with the death guard in the lore! Incredible start to the grotmas calendar!
Stealth death guard…..lore correct? Help me get there please. Not sure I get it.

Hope my Votann and Eldar get something fun whilst we wait!
Thanks for releasing, especially on a Sunday!
Thanks for watching! As far as we know everyone is getting something so stay tuned.
I had to look at the calendar and literally said outloud “HOW IS IT DECEMBER ALREADY‽” time flies as you get older 😢
Ayy what a nice surprise. Thank you guys for your dedication.
Thanks for tuning in!

I really hope Agents get something aside the Deathwatch return.
Amazing new options and playstyle for a Great army
Love that you have got this review out so quickly
We’re wanting to get these out each day throughout December!
Tank shock on poxwalkers is gooooooooooooood.
I hope that we will also get something soon. Don't get me wrong TS is very strong in this eddition but we are als (no pun intended) left in the dust at the same time.
As far as we can tell every faction is getting something. We’ll be covering all of them so stay tuned.
1:04 it's for the whole unit, that's pretty huge
At, yes, let us give the notoriously fragile Death Guard Stealth.
The grandfather blesses!
This is a really good detachment. Nice and strong but something I'd much rather face than the dataslate detachment
The full heal is gonna be absolutely disgusting no matter which character gets it. I feel like the only reason it won't cost more than 40 points is that it's restricted to infantry only...imagine a Demon Prince with that. It'd be like fielding a cheaper Mortarian
Yeah I think it’s reasonable based on what can take it.
Us first!?!? Lucky day

I’d like to see that too. This DG Detatchment gives a really different style of army and play style
I hope they add new plague marine models. Maybe a heavy weapon squad, blight grenade squad of flamer squad.
That would be cool to see. I can imagine them doing a Warpsmith style character too given all their daemon engines
I presume that these reviews are mostly recorded in a booth?

This is sick. Just don't 7th ed my 10.5 ed lol. I don't need mega formations to trash the game.
Stay tuned and we’ll find out together 😅
Because death gaurd where lacking in ways to nerf their opponents forces 😅
Exactly my thought. Oh look one of the top tier armies gets another way to crush you. Lol
@sludgedisciple yep! Playing DG this week with shooting marines fancy my chances less after this but we will see
Fastest video upload ever
We’re not messing about!
Being stupid, this detachment means they drop -1 to ws/bs, -1 to saves rules ?

@ the new starts help them but damn their unit ability is GARBAGE

Add a comment...😮
so death guard now are elite kroot? :P
Do they lose nugles gift?
Not the -1T Aura, but they would swap out the bonus debuffs like -1Sv

Death Guard are not a stealth army....bit strange
I think it’s supposed to represent the cloud of flies vibe.
This might be the strongest detachment in the game
I think it might be quite cheeky…really looking forward to trying it in a game.
