Distributor Problems on a 1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II

  • In this video we investigate why the distributor is not producing properly timed ignition pulses which leads to rough running. An oscilloscope is used to assess the timing of the pulses while spinning the distributor out of the car. The distributor is disassembled and we investigate the play in the distributor shaft and non-uniformity of the cam.

    Hello there thanks for this wasome video. My distributor turns ut i het no.spark? What can i do?.( im younger i do not know much about this thing...)

      You should get a spark if you manually open and close the points. If you are not getting that then something other than the distributor is not right.

      I'm from India Delhi. I have a rolls Royce silver shadow 1976 8 selendar. I want its distributor

      @@mazharahmad3741 I found that eBay is a good source but I recommend Albers. They are in the US, and Flying Spares in UK also has distributors.
