The don't wanna tell us about a criminal gang that is now ranging in U.K. but our friends tells us about those ugly people operating there. They don't wanna tell us about those hooligans. They behave as if U.K. is safe and we in S.A its all about crime. The liers have been exposed.

@@Sifisomabanga That is EXACTLY the point jamesramsey is making. The largest, and capital city of the UK is completely different from every other part of the country. Just like someone from SA knows JHB is not representative of their nation. Whether in SA or Europe, making a living is tough. However, in EU it’s minus the crime , load shedding, BEE, crumbling infrastructure, etc.. Load shedding & crime have all but ended family social activities after dark in SA. South Africans seem oblivious to the heavy stresses that these issues create, to the extent that this abnormal burden is considered ‘normal’ living in SA. South Africans need to unshackle themselves from this burden, instead of pretending that the antidote is sunny skies & a braai.

Your comment ought to begin with "for some", cause this opinion is devoid of facts. For most Africans residing in South Africa, not having access to electricity and running water IS NOT NEW.
We grew up having to buy coal from a horse and cart and parafin became so popular, we utilized it to remedy other ill in the society we were forced into.
Currently, our major cities have seen an uptake in new night spots, bars and night clubs. The nightlife even spawned 'Maboneng' as a hub for owls.
It is amazing that some will at economic empowerment as an obstacle not a tool to regress the decisions of the 'not so wise men in that room', who thought it would be prudent to constitutionally oppress people because of race.
Yet, when a dunderhead party leader shouts taking land back without compensation, it suddenly seems unfair to some. We will never have peace in this country if we don't right the wrongs, period. Ignorance of the state of this nation prior 1994 is not an excuse.
The western countries' will fool most with propaganda and media suppression. Just like reporting during the pandemic, we have countries who intentionally are economic with their stats, and yet shout how dangerous RSA is, highest murder rate, most rapes, highest corruption, you name it were are there.
So, when Mexico list a top 20 most dangerous areas to live in, and we can only find Cape province, yes the same in which Cape Town that ranks 1st or 2nd in a UK based publication, as the best city to live in. We have even cracked the mass shooting phenomenon that some are grappling with.
We even have celebrated individuals calling our gov as the worst on the planet, I'm keen to see how are comparatively to other countries he has resided in, and the number of 'em, especially the per capita brakedown indication which areas of affirmation leaves us statistically to be worse that Zim, the UK, the States, Haiti, Korea, no! the other one, Australia...I mean should I go on?

A total of 8.6 million patients in England were prescribed antidepressants in 2022-23, with the amount having almost doubled since 2011, according to the NHS.

Gosh I never comment on UA-cam. This is my second comment ever but this topic is an important one for me. In 2008 I was working for a South African red bank that merged with a UK blue bank. So many South African who ran away from the country saying it was going down took that opportunity to find jobs within the red bank (having been within the UK blue bank at the time of course). What was greatly unfortunate though is they were not at all positive about the country. Almost every day all day I had to listen to some of them trash talking the country. One day I actually asked one of them why he came back because he had nothing good to say about the country. Turned out it was the only cheap place that he had to raise a family on a single income, as the wife was a full time mom and they wanted to keep it that way. For me having such people come back does not help at all. They come back with a more divisive then building mentality. They're coming back to be islands and not to help build. South Africa doesn't need such. We need a meeting of minds (hopefully someday hearts too) to build one beautiful country and passionate nation.

I'm a black South African and I refuse to let the past of my country define me... I love everyone of all Colour, black, brown, white, and yellow... And if I'm to be honest, I can't imagine SA without white South Africans.
You guys shouldn't take whatever negative things being said about you by black South Africans seriously because most of us have no issues with you, just because we're silent, it doesn't mean we have issues... Both Siener and Johanna Brandt's prophecies agreed on how it would play out. We've been prepared for over 100yrs for what is to come but BOTH of them warned that only the humble of heart would believe them while the proud would reject their divinely inspired predictions. So far both of them are quite correct with their predictions. I'm glad you mentioned it. I've researched the "Phoenix Phenomena" which is a repetitive 138yr reset pattern set into chronology for over 5000yrs yet hidden by mainstream history especially since 1902. Both Brandt's and V.Rensburg's predictions align perfectly with it. It's all very encouraging & everything points to South Africa being the epicenter and start of the next Phoenix Event in 2040 too.

There are too many goons running around SA! Nowhere is safe. I must also challenge you guys on the notion that we that have emigrated or somehow misinformed. Typically the people that leave SA are skilled labour very smart very savvy (generalising here) they have the means to leave and other countries are more than happy to take on the virtue of their skills and resources. What I’m saying is we are not naive we know what we are doing. I live in complete safety in England I leave my windows and doors wide open (for 3 weeks a year😂) and unlocked all year around. I am somewhat prosperous here but I just can’t stand the bureaucracy and the lifestyle is utter dog shit from a SA perspective. Maslows hierarchy of needs gents safety is one of those things that I get here that I cannot get in SA and this is the main issue I have. Literally if SA were to sort this shit out I would move back in a heart beat.

I stayed in the Johannesburg suburb of Parkhurst which is very clean, safe, integrated and like suburban American. The community is also close knit with its own private security. Parkhurst was heaven to me as an African American where I could never find and afford to experience a community like that. There's also other nice communities around the Joburg metro such as Faerie Glenn & Rosebank. SA has it's problems like loadshedding, and now water. For 2 reasons, rather the 💩I know than the 💩I don't and my people are here and they matter more than anything, which I realised moreso in the pandemic. Now the place where I was to live in Ireland has got huge migrant issues and the government is no longer for the Irish citizens at all. My friends there are very unhappy in Ireland. Just 40 years ago you could be beaten for being outside after 6pm in a specific area, you could be jailed for loving someone , you could be beaten for being on the wrong beach and you could be hanged if your friend told you about a crime they committed.
But those things would only happen to you when you were a certain race(black). But interestingly enough some people didn't emigrate out infact we there was an influx into the country.
So when you look at it its not the crime thats making them emigrate its that the crime is now affecting everyone equally.

@@jonieman what does your latte pumpkin spice cappuccino have to do with safety? No, I am referring to the obvious rural safety problems we have here in SA on a regular basis, such as home invasions and farm attacks where people get hacked with machetes, raped, have boiling water thrown over them or poured down their throats, get ironed with hot irons, have their children thrown into bath tubs with boiling water, are suffocated by having plastic packets tied over their heads, and lastly, also get shot.

Well its not as simple as that. My woodworking factory was looted and burnt to the ground in Krugersdorp in January2018. I lost my building ,tools and my livelihood. At a white male who would employ me and pay me a living wage? No chance! Not with affirmative action in place. Fortunately for me 3 months earlier our visa to move to Western Australia was approved and we left 6 years ago. But here's the kicker ... within 3 months I was offered a job at the age of 68. Imagine that happening in SA, Never. I miss SA because it was my home but I don't miss the state its in at this point. No infrastructure like railways ,hospitals, no postal service, no police not to speak of Eskom or the failing water supply. The only roads that are in intact are national HI ways, I know I visited in 2022 and toured the country doing 6000KM. Living in SA you adapt and get used to everything that's lousy. Yes Australia has its faults if you want to call them that but don't underestimate the freedom to walk to a nearby park, or magnificent beach that never looks like the south coast. Catch a train to the city where you can hop on and off a tour bus at no cost. They are called Cat busses.
Yes I would come back if the country returned to its former glory. That's not likely in my lifetime sadly.

Parties will come and go. Thank you for your wonderful comment. South Africans over reacted on the freedom they got and were carried away.
In S.A. we have an influx of foreigh illegal immigrants and they bring a lot of crime. Me as a black South African, I do understand you.
We need to come back to the drawing board and if it needs be we must change the rulling party in order to take us back to our glory. I am 59years old and own my own bussines at least and not in tendering.

I think one should remember to "never say never". The big problem in the EU, Great Britain and the USA is unrestrained migration, the war on Ukraine which has skyrocketed EU energy prices and for the USA unrestrained deficit spending. This being said South Africa is a very dangerous place, with lots and lots and lots ..................... of other problems. Thus it is a individual choice to move or stay. One thing that is worrisome is the talk about conscription in Europe. The winds of war are blowing and that will make Europe really bad.

There are white and black people who live well in S.A. They don't say anything because life for them is good.
The Ruppets, Ackermans, Motsepes and others are doing well in S.A. In Stellenboch town that's were most are. Most people can't accept that S.A. is now multicultural.
The South Africa of yesterday is not a South Africa of today. Although our crime rate is geographical, there are places that does experience high crime because of overpopulation.
I do understand what you say. After South Africa got its freedom, others got carried away especially the ruling party because instead of focussing on the livelyhood of the vulnerable people, they focussed on themselves.
South Africa is the most unequal country in the world, where the rich are more richer and the poor poorer. But I like this platform because it makes us realize the real truth.
I think in this coming election, things will get better and I see cuolition governing as the answere.
